Hey girls, it's snowing again and it could leave about 3-6 inches. We did a little good over the wk. end but some were not doing anything. There are no jobs in Il. They have all gone. Well another day staying in the house and watching the snow fly. What a way to spend a couple days. Hi to everyone. Hope you are all warm. Hugs, Mary
-
Hey everybody! Hope everyone is alive and well ! And warm even if it is freezing outside where you are. Later Gators, Janie

Hi girls,
Sorry to be gone so long. Elections really were keeping me busy (and I have Idol so many other nights)..... Not so happy with our election results, but it's not like there's not still a race going on!
We had a gorgeous day yesterday, might have snow tonight, and it's supposed to be 70 and sunny on Sunday. Crazy Texas weather...
So I had a big freakout on elex day, when I woke up needing a pad, if you know what I mean. First I thought I'd wet my pants! Anyway, given that I figured that in menopause i would get AWAY from all this, I called 2 nurses and they tell me it's nothing to fret about. OK, so, I'm very happy about that, but NOT happy that I've had three days now dealing with sanitary napkins I thought I'd gotten rid of forever.
Just a little over a week before we go to San Diego.....
Mary, Arizona in your future still? Janie, you guys still stuck in drought? That sounded pretty dire. -
Hey Girls, Glad your back P.J. and hope your seeing some sun Janie. The snow is melting but we are going to get some flurries again tomorrow with temps around 10. Then on Tue. it is to get up to 50. Wow, I am sick of clouds and snow! Gosh P.J. that pad things a bummer. I had my uter out back when I was 25 and my overies all but a little bit out in my 30's. They left a small bit and that has kept my harmones going just fine but now I am in the pause. I haven't missed the monthly thing one bit! I know you can spot off and on through the pause. I get the hot flashes off and on and night sweats. Wow, what we have to go through. Hubby gets hot flashes too so we flash together. Well hope it stops P.J. and hope work gets calmed down. I had to go to the dermatologist today and my skin cancer on my neck is better so thats good. My cancer boob has been itching and red I was sorta worried about Pagets desease(cancer) but since it comes and goes she(derm.) thinks it is my eczema which is what I thought too but wanted to make sure and get some med. for it. My mother-in-law had Pagets and hers itched and never went away and started to drain so I kinda had a heads up on that. Oh well, all is clear. Yea P.J. we are going out next fall. We have been buying stuff on slae for the camper like silverware and dishes etc. for a while so we have most of what we need. My brothers say they are going too. I have one sister that kinda would like to go,(the airline attendant) and she could work out of Sky Harbor. Who knows. I would like to go out this summer but I don't know if we will because of the shows we do here. There aren't many shows there in the summer but winter they have lots of them. Well I better get busy around here. Hugs, Mary

Hey ladies !
Today is my 4 year anniversary with NED ! Had my follow-up mammo yesterday. They did not do any retakes so that is good. Did not tell me any results. Sometimes they do. However, I just had a biopsy a little while ago so everything should definitely be fine.
We need to start planning the 5 year anniversary get together before long.
Mary, how are your itchy spots? The weather here is crazy. For a couple days it was biting cold and even snowed Saturday. Now it is short sleeve weather again reaching in the 70's.
AI tonight ! My TN gals do not play for a while after winning the SEC. The men SEC tourney starts Thursday.
I best hit the shower and "git going." Lots of work awaits me today. Later Ladies,
Janie
-
Hey Girls, Janie, I am doing much better. My sores in my mouth are better and the itching is still here but they are going to wait and see if the steroid med. helps and if not then do a bio. I talked to my surgeon. They want me to see my plastics guy so I will make an apt. today and see what he thinks. It will be a while before I get in to him. I see the E.N.T. Thurs. about my thyroid. Yes, we will be getting ready for our 5 yr. celebration, are we still doing Chi.? I got my hair cut, dyed and highlighted yesterday and I love the cut. She really thinned it out thank goodness! My hair grew back so d#m thich it is like a lion mane. She has it thin and framing my face. I really like it. I can't do hair so anything I have to use a curling iron with is out. I have to have a blow dry and go style. I hate to wash it cause it will never look the same. Well, it is warming up in the high 50's but rain. Yea, we can't get a glimmer of sun. We are going to a show this wk. end at a mall about an hour away. We are really getting antsy to get the camper packed. I have to get some pans and thats about all we need. I have everything else. Well, we have to go to Springfield for hubby's P.T. today. Later girls. Hugs, Mary
-
Hey Janie, Great news about your mammo and Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big Bear Hugs, Mary
-
Yea, Janie! I think we should have some virtual drinks to celebrate. Make mine a margarita. No salt.
Yup, five years is coming up quickly. (Although can I count mine as five years because of the recurrence? I'm not sure what the rules are on that...) Chicago here we come!
Mary, I know what you mean about the hair. Mine always looks cute coming out of the stylists, then it goes back to looking like its usual stringy self. (Have to keep my bangs long so you don't notice the lack of eyebrows as much...)
Hope your appointments all go well, Mary. You've definitely had more than enough problems lately. How's hubby doing? -
Well P.J. we aren't doing it without you. Ya know; if a place closer between all of us is better for everyone thats fine too. Someplace drivable but if everyone doesn't mind Chi. I am there. It don't matter to me. Well I will have Mai Tai for something different. Janie, whats your pleasure? My little dog (the little slut) will be drunk and running after every salesman on the block. She just can't hold her booze. Well someone get some eats and puree my taco chips with the dip to a thick liquid please. Hugs, hic-up, Mary
-
Actually, Mary, Chicago usually is fairly cheap for me to fly to, so I'll be there.
And LOVED your jewelry and other stuff! Thanks for sending the pics. I don't know where you find the time and energy.... -
Mary! Send me some of that hair ASAP! When I color mine, I use the touch-up kit because it covers all of my hair. It dries in a matter of minutes without a dryer.
For variety, I will switch off of my beloved margaritas and have a fuzzy navel. Been a long time since I had one and they are so goooood.
Chicago sounds great. Never been there. Always wanted to go. Maybe we can be on Oprah or something. I am sure we will do justice to that "toddlin' town" and I know I spelled it wrong.
Hope all is well with everyone today! Workin' my freakin' buns off.
Later Ladies,
Janie
-
O.K. Janie, One fuzzy navel, you do mean like "drink" fuzzy navel? Just want to make sure because I don't want to get the wrong thing. Wow, you can have all the hair you want. She cut a bucket full out of my mane. When people actually tell you"man you get a lot of hair" you know it is thick. They should just say you look stupid with all that hair. I have always had baby fine, thin hair with like 3 cowlicks. Janie, my little google buddy, do cowlicks come from your parent telling you you an old wives tale that if a cow licks your hair it will always stick up in the air? The ENT said my thyroid is large and lumpy and unless something gives me trouble he will check it in a year. I appear to have some stomach trouble that has been calmed down with meds. so it wasn't all the thyroid after all. Glad I didn't get it out like the one Dr. wanted. I went to the dentist the other day and I got a bit of bone out, what a great feeling, the pressure went right away but there is 2 more all swelled up. He tried but couldn't budge them so I have to wait patiently for them to come out enough I can pull them with tweasers. It is like cutting teeth for a couple months. The boob seems better with the ointment so maybe it is eczema. Oh, I ate homemade pizza and shredded salad. I had to eat homemade dressing. I love lots of dressing with a little salad. Who knows, maybe in a couple months I will be able to eat meat not in liquid form. Well, better scat, gotta get up about 5 so we can leave about 5:30. It was 60 today and sunny until about noon when the clouds rolled in a little for the now rain. Tomorrow night snow flurries. Hubby is better for now. I tell ya, one of these days....POW! I am going to knock some sense into him. He had to take his shirt off at the Dr. the other day. Now he has a lot of nice white Tee shirts. He had on a yellowed tee shirt that looked too small for him. I almost crawled under the chair. He said after, where did that shirt come from? That was embarressing, we threw that away. I couldn't imagine him on his own, really. I don't help, I noticed he had on 2 colors of socks the other day and I didn't bother to let him know. What he don't know won't hurt him usually. I best get some rest. Later girls. Hugs, Mary
-
Did ya'll hear about the "tornadic tendencies" that hit the GA dome where the SEC basketball tourney is being held? Part of the roof blew off during one of the games! Nobody was hurt. They eventually postponed the last game of the day and do not know what will happen about the rest of the tournament. We have tickets for the final on Sunday afternoon.
-
Hey Girls, glad you didn't get blown away Janie. How is everyone? It is pouring here non stop so the warm weather doesn't count because I can't get out without getting soggy. I have to pick up grandkids today so I will see you all later. Have a good day girls. Hugs,Mary
-
Hey ladies,
How are all of you? I am dog tired. My Dad was released from the hospital today. They thought he had heart blockage but the stress test was ok today and he was released.
I turn 62 Easter Sunday! And right now, I feel every bit of it. Enjoying the basketball games.
Later Gators,
Janie
-
Hey Girls, glad your dad is o.k. Janie. Maybe you can get some rest over the Easter break. It is going to rain/snow for 2 days. I guess we can get our boots on and dig for eggs. Well I have to bake a birthday cake. My son's b-day was the 20th. and middle daughter(Az.) is the 30th. Happy Birthday Janie!!!!!! I hope you have a great birthday and everyone has a wonderful Easter. Hugs, Mary
-
Hoppy Easter, have a wonderful day. We have a little snow. Isn't that eggstraspecial. Hugs, Mary
-
Happy Birthday, Janie! What did you do to celebrate? Eating chocolate comes to mind....
Mary, you're just a bundle of appointments. Glad they seem to be helping.
We got back Saturday from our trip to San Diego. It sure is beautiful out there, and there is LOTS to do, but the traffic, oy....
But we had a great time, did Legoland twice among a bunch of other activities. Now, back to work. Blech. It's too bad you don't get paid for NOT going to work.
Hope you woke up to a sunny day! -
Hey PJ, Sounds like a fun trip. On my bd, I was taken to both breakfast and dinner, visited my Dad, celebrated Easter, and watched two games on the tube. Also worked a little.... very busy time of year for me too.
Mary, loved the funny video you sent.
Hugs to all the Junies, Janie
-
Hey Girls, hope you all have a great wk. end. The sun is out, at least I think thats what it is. Its been so long I don't remember what it looks like. I have been to Legoland too P.J. and Sea World is fun. Well hi to all. Hugs, Mary
-
Mary, hope you enjoyed the sun. I got out and planted about 40 plants over the weekend. We'll see how many of them make it.....
Had my 6-month (rather, 7-month) checkup today. Quick and easy. Don't have to go back for 6 more months, and no more scans unless I get symptoms. He doesn't think PET scans are very accurate for me.
Hope the week is going well! -
Hey P.J. good news for you. Will you go to 1 yr. check-ups after the next 6mo.? I have my last 6 mo. in June then graduate to 1 yr. My Onky don't do anything except tumor markers. He says when I have symptoms it will be soon enough. How reassuring....Well how great to be planting. I sure wish I could plant but the annuals aren't even in the stores yet and we will have the heavy spring rain now. I am bursting at the seams to be outside in my garden. I do have some chive up already. I like to grow my own herbs. Well, I better get. I haven't heard from Nancy Lee for a while. Hope she is alright. I e-ed her a couple days ago. Theres the phone. Hugs, Mary
-
Hi my Junies....Yes, Mary, I'm okay and alive and kicking and all that although I've been running back and forth to the hospital every Friday for the past 6 months for bloodwork and anemia and all kinds of other junk...I go to the gyno on Monday for more tests and just had an MRI ordered by my Onc. so that he can "check some things out??" I'm a little tired, but I'm working about 10+ hours at the daycare so that could account for some of the fatigue...I'm watching Dancing With the Stars...I'd like to see if Priscilla Presley can even move her face...too many lifts there for sure!! Hi, PJ & Janie...I didn't read back cuz I don't know if I even remember the last time I could get on here...you will all have to catch me up now that I've managed again!! Okay, I'm going to TRY to post this and then surf around a little and see what else I've missed...HI HI HI>>>>Glad to be "Home"....Life is Good
Smiles
NancyLee

Hey girls, and glad to hear from you Nancy Lee. I hope all your test and checks come out good. Yea, Priscilla looks awful. I have a friend that works for my plastic surg. and she has had a lift and boy for 62 she looks wonderful. Her face isn't all tight and boney looking. She looks 30 at the most. She gets a big discount of course(she has worked for him most of her life). I have seen some that only their lips move because of the botox. Well, I better go. Glad to hear from you N.L. and hope all you girls have a great wk. Hugs, Mary
-
Hey everybody!
My Dad's back in the hospital -- dx'ed with pulmonary embolism. It has been a hectic week.
Mary - looks 30 at 62. I just turned 62. Maybe I should see this guy?!?!
Anybody watching Idol this year?
J
-
p.s. - I do not know how I made the font look like that. I pushed some button by accident.
-
Janie, gosh I am sorry to hear about your dad. Do they think they can do anything about it? They probably have him on blood thinners. Yea, this plastics guy is good. My lumpectomy boob looks perfect. This guy wears his Ducks Unlimited shirts and talks about hunting all the time. He is so not the plastic surg. type but he is really good. Well heavy rain today again. Whats the sun actually look like? Isn't it shinny? well better get. Hugs, Mary
-
Nancy, hope your MRI went OK. What did they tell you, or have they yet? What are they MRI-ing?
Janie, how's your dad?
You know, I always scoffed at the whole Botox/plastic surgery thing, but I'm starting to rethink that.... -
Well I did some restlin last May and it looked good. I did one bottle and my derm. did it for me. The other places were a lot more expensive. The restlin goes into each wrinkle and they put a numbing lotion on for like 30 mins. before. It is sorta painful but after all the chemo I am numb to needles. They have to inject each wrinkle with it to fill it and it last about 9 months and is $400.00 a bottle and thats the whole charge for Dr. too. One bottle does not do much. I think it did maybe 6 wrinkles around my mouth so I really needed about 3 bottles. I didn't know beforehand. You have a little swelling and reddness but it is all gone by morning. I am trying Strivectin now(just started yesterday). It is about $350.00 for both the deep wrinkle syrum and the lotion but it goes a long way and I think I will get at least 3 months out of the lotion because theres a lot. I just can't do the surgery because I am just not wanting any more and it is too expensive. I almost had my eyes done after my boob but I opted out. The Strivectin will give you your money back if it does not work so I figure what the hech. I will try it. My skin is like a gator! Well better get. Hugs, Mary
-
Hey all,
My Dad is doing better. He was a handful when he was supposed to be on complete bedrest in order not move the clot or break another one loose. He is on blood thinner and other stuff. He was allowed to sit up most of today and is expected to be discharged sometime soon.
Strangely enough I do not have that many wrinkles, but I have always had dark circles. I would love to get rid of them.
Later my new image junies,
janie
