SweetMelissa: so sorry we have to meet this way (BC);
Take your time to familiarize yourself with the Forum that most applies to your present situation right now; there's a lot of information to process, decisions to be made,...
I look forward to see and your mom; meanwhile, I will PM you, okay?
Welcome to BC.Org.
Hugs and luv,
-
i think PM means personal message - i'm starting to get the lingo
- that sounds good. today is a pretty rough day pain wise so i'm in my comfy chair checking everything out on this website. so far it has been so informative and inspirational! even though the reason we are all connected is not good i still feel lucky to have found this site! -
Lilia
Sorry I've been MIA, April 5th in Springfield works for me, Warren has the technical rehearsal for his play, so he won't be able to make it (I'll bring pictures though!)
Hope all is well!
xo,
Colleen

Hi, am newly diagnosed, and would possibly like to join your get-together. Am in CT. Would you mind if I joined in?
Jill
-
Hi Jill,
Where in CT? I'm in Fairfield County
flash
-
Jill: absolutely not, we all would love to have you aboard. This is an open invite.
We have "oldies" like myself (September it w/ be 5 years I was diagnosed at age 36), newly diagnosed, support daughters...
Please join us. I w/ send you a PM (Private Message).
Flash, care to join us?
-
Hi Flash,
I am in New Haven. Are you the same Flash (and Dash) I met in the wee hours of the morning last night?
Jill
-
My mom, me, and baby bump will be there

Looking forward to it!
Love Marisa

Just a little reminder for the fun "Chinese Grab Bag".
If that is okay with you girls, the max. to spend would be $10/$15.
Thanks,
-
Hi, I'm here in Ipswich, MA. The get together sounds like fun. I'll put this on my calendar and hope to attend.
Debbie
-
Do I have to buy something Chinese??
What the heck is a chinese grab bag?
lol
-
I think it is the same as a Yankee Swap.
-
I just found this and would love to come. I'm sure I could get my husband to drive me down. It will be a long ride, but I'd love to meet some of the women who have supported me the past couple of years.
Melissa, I'm so sorry that you had to join our group, but the support you get her is amazing!
Lynne
-
Umm...what's a Yankee swap? LOL
Do we buy anything and then exchange after we draw #'s and then people can steal it from us?
I just want to make sure it's a generic gift we can buy and not something themed

-
You got it right Emelee, generic is good.
-
Hello Lilia and New England girls,
I just spotted this and I realized this is the same weekend I'll be heading to Boston for a meeting about doing crew for the Avon walk.
I could plan to stop by on the way, if you don't mind a guest from NY.
Peggy -
Hey Lynne from Manchester - I'm in Derry and if your husband isn't up for driving you my mom and I would be happy to give you a lift. Just let me know.
~Melissa
-
Hi girls... sorry took a long weekend off (Happy belated Easter) and all "hell broke loose..." LOL
Okay, Marisa/Emelee26, you now have full knowledge what the fun is all about?! LOL - Worse comes to worse, go to one of our favorite stores (Walmart, Target, Big Lots, Michaels...) and get a gift certificate.... I know what I am getting... and I know someone w/ steal it... LOL
Peggy!!!!!!!!!!! But off course, we would love to have you come over and not as a guest... 5 minutes or 2 hours, forever you are our sister.... (The 3 of us are still to come and visit you in NYC!)
Lynne, I w/ add you to the list.
As we get closer, I w/ be making phone calls to confirm "grand appearances" and other stuff...
Looking so forward to meet everyone.
((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))

Melissa
Thanks! I'm sure I can get him to give me a ride. I'll let you know if he changes his mind (I don't think he will!). I haven't even sprung it on him yet! : ) Guess I should tell him today. The Arimidex just makes my short term memory mush. If I don't write it down, I forget! I wrote it on the calender, but he never looks at that. I swear, I'm the only one in this house that does!
Also, if your Mom can't bring you, we can bring you too.
Lynne
-
Hi Lynne: I called you last night and left a message w/ someone one (a woman); did you get it?
-
REMINDER: ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW GIRLS!
-
Hi Ladies,
I wish I could join you ..... I live in Vermont and will be in the Hadley, MA area for training starting Sunday, April 6. Maybe I will consider heading down that way a day early. Sounds like a great time!
Laurie
-
i'm so excited about meeting everybody on saturday!
dianne -
Lilia and All,
I'm not going to be able to make it on Saturday after all, I'm so disappointed. My Dad was just dx with colon cancer, and I've been going down to NJ as often as I can these last few weeks. I'll practically drive right by you guys, except it will be on Friday night and then Sunday.
I hope it becomes the first of many get-togethers, so that I can make it to the next one.
Have fun,
Colleen
-
Colleen, best of luck with your dad.
-
Oh Colleen... am so sorry. Please hug your dad for me. We will miss you.
I w/ give U a call as soon as possible.
I have my gift all ready to go... you girls cannot take a pick before deciding which gift to chose from...
... I know you are going to take it from whoever wants to keep it at first chance...
Love,
Lilia
PS: Gillkath/Laurie: please join us. The more the merrier.
-
Hi Lilia,
I'll be there on Saturday, looking forward to it!

Lynn
-
REMINDER: 2 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
-
Lilia
I did not get your message. It probably was one of my daughters (or even my 12 year old son). They are terrible about leaving messages.
My husband and I will be there on Saturday. I can't wait to meet all of you!
Lynne
-
REMINDER: ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Lynne: no wonder I thought whoever took the message was a little on the "off" side... LOL!
I spoke w/ some of the girls attending... can't wait to meet you all in person. LorenaB I am so waiting to hug you.
To the ones that cannot make it, there is always a next time. We will be thinking of you.
sweetmelissa, sunflowers: hope you girls can make it.
I have received a package from the BC.Org; we have goodies.... Thanks Tami and Kily.
So, look for the table on the balcony area w/ the pink balloons as decoration; and if you miss the table just ask for Lilia and the BC Get Together table.
PS: Don't forget your swap gift... it's going to be a lot of fun.
