Did anybody watch this special? I would have found it too depressing a few years back but  watched out of curiosity.

There was a wonderful "Centurian" She was over 100. Still driving, still running a business. She has survived cancer 3 times long ago now.

    I found that uplifting.

Wow! Three times? I find that uplifting, too. Wink I read recently that doctors used to think anyone with something chronic, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. couldn't possibly live to be 100. Turns out that's not true any more. "Sick" people are living just as long as those who have never had any health concerns. The theory is that it's because doctors treat all illnesses so aggressively today.

I missed the special but I want to tell about someone special in my family. My grandma will be 94 the end of May and takes no medicine for health problems. She moved herself into the nursing home about 8 yrs ago when it took her all day to do 2 loads of laundry. She drove until she went in the home. She admitted that she needed help. My parents pick her up every Sunday and brings her to church when she is able to, sometimes in the winter it is too cold or if she is ill with a cold. She is still sharp as a tack even though her eyesite is failing.

I ½ watched that last night...multitasking you know. Did you see the part where they took cells and cloned the body parts...I think. The heart was amazing. That first thing that pops into my head is one day soon we will be able to grow new breast  The second thing was I have to find out who this research company is so I can invest in it.Cool

I didn't watch it but wanted to.

My grandfather lived to be 104 years old. He died after a fall so who knows how much longer he could have lived.

I miss the ole goat - he was a great man
