Okay, funny moment of the day yesterday?! Erica Kane asking Jack if she had overpacked for prison. I guess she thinks she's going to get one of the cells with the walk-in closet. ROFL!
-
You know, I actually am glad that they replaced the police commissioner. I like Beau but he was one of the most inept commissioners in TV history. I would like to see him working side by side with Clint at BE and being a pain in Clint's behind.
-
OMG can you believe Starr??? She has no idea what she's playing with going to Marcy and lying about Todd abusing Sam. I predict a bad outcome for that....
-
What do you think will happen with Jared? Is the gig up?!?
Do you think Adriana heard Gigi tell Rex he was Shane's father? Do you think Rex even heard it?!?
-
Looks like the gig isn't up--- although I did read that David Vickers is coming back-- I'll bet for sweeps in may so maybe then we'll get the pay off.
Do I think Adriana heard??? Nah, because I think they're gonna drag this out longer since we only just found out for sure.
I can't believe Starr-- but then again she is only 16 and she doesn't have the best role models for dealing with anger....
-
I really hope they bring David Vickers back. Where is Addie and Miles? grrrr
-
I can take or leave Miles-- but I need my Addie fix for laughter-- shouldn't she be there counseling Blair and Starr right now???
-
Do you guys think Rex and Adriana will get married? I don't see it happening...
-
Hey, Amy - did you hang with PegK yet? My son, nephew and I went last summer and had a blast. Didn't get to meet Robin Strasser, though (not on set that day)...
-
Yeah I did-- it was such a phenomenal day. She's the best. It was such a wonderful day-- everyone was soooo nice and I had so much fun. I had forgotten how easy it is to get into the city and get around. I used to go there a few times a year for work in the 80s-- which seems like such a long time ago looking at the year after I typed it.
I saw Robin but she was on the phone. You wouldn't believe how soft her face is-- she looks soooo friendly and kind-- I'm dying to know how she makes her face look so biting and bitchy for Dorian. The person I would have loved to meet is Erika Slezak-- I think she walks on water. I just love how she looks the way she's supposed to look-- not like someone surgically trying to look younger than her age and she's so talented.
-
Do you guys think if Starr is pregnant she's going to have the baby and if she does is she going to keep it? Todd is going to FLIP if she's pregnant-- oh man--- poor Cole if she is.
-
All the secrets are out now (Rex as Shane's dad, Jared not being a Buchannan)! It's been an interesting week...
I don't think Star is pregnant, but we won't know for a while (since she dropped the test into the toilet when Daddy Dearest knocked). I think it would be a great time to do a storyline on HIV and teen pregnancy, but not sure if the OLTL writers will take the chance (evident by Star saying today that she knows she should have used protection but didn't). The last time I saw it done on daytime was GH when Lulu was pregnant and had an abortion...
And does anyone else Langston would have been better off living in her old house than living in dysfunction junction with Todd, Blair and family?!? Gheesh...
-
Soap Opera Digest says that Starr is pregnant, but she doesn't tell anyone at first. They said that she's thinking of hiding the pregnancy, at least in the beginning. They said she is considering even having the baby--- having is in italics, which I took to mean an abortion isn't going to happen. It might not mean anything or might be a red herring. Was it you who said she should have the baby and give it to Marcy or did I read that somewhere else?
-
Todd would never allow his granchild, no matter how it was conceived, to go to Marcie. Todd may be a bad person but he does love his children. Yes, he goes over the top in his reaction to Starr and Cole but he does care about them. He even went to extremes to find his son by that insane lady. He will do the same with his grandchild. I really hate that this is the direction they have chosen to take the Starr character.
-
If--- Starr even told Todd she was pregnant. If starr hid her pregnancy and then gave Marcy the baby-- well that would probably suck for Marcy because we know Todd would eventually find out and Starr would want the baby back. I just hope she doesn't hide it from Cole.
I think it's important to do stories like Starr's- because there are kids who get into her situation. It's certainly not glorifying teen sex and pregnancy, but more of a cautionary tale, in my opinion. A good percentage of 16 year olds are having sex and while I think for most it's too young, I would also much rather see 16 year olds who are having sex use protection then have to suffer the consequences.
-
You make a good point. I just wish it was with another character besides Starr. I've watched Starr literally grow up on the show and really love the character and the actor who plays her. Mabye Langston instead.
-
Yeah, I agree with you, I wish it wasn't Starr, but maybe it had to be. The actress with plays Starr, Kristen Alderson volunteers for an organization that stress teenage pregnancy prevention and initially was uncomfortable with the story.
-
OK - how STUPID is Rex? Does he really believe that he is not Shane's dad now?!? Did he honestly fall for the "he was a premie" line?!? Gheesh...
I think Starr will tall Blair about the pregnancy - eventually. I also think Langston will tell Cole about it...
-
I don't think Starr is pregnant. She said the second line was really faint. I think its going to be a false positive. I hope anyway.
-
From the previews I've been reading, she is very much pregnant but it would be nice if it was a false positive.
Rex certainly isn't acting like a PI-- why doesn't he just get a dna test-- surely he could swipe a hair from Shane's head and use his contacts. Note to Rex: If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck and it quacks like a duck--- it's a DUCK. I don't get why Gigi doesn't just tell Rex-- what more could she want from a father. Rex is doing some amazing acting.

BIG BIG SCOOP from soap opera digest!
Starr chooses to have an abortion because she's afraid Todd will kill Cole. I read it at the store so I can't copy the whole article- basically Langston dresses up as starr in a blonde wig to try to fool Shaun-- which is funny because Langston appears to be at least inches taller than Starr and Shaun doesn't seem like a stupid man.
Starr goes to NJ because minors can have abortions w/o parental consent and has to go through protesters. She finally gets inside and feels really alone since no one is with her.
Meanwhile, back at the school Langston finally tells Cole what's going on and he takes off to find Starr... but is it in enough time before the procedure.
Guiding Light did a similar story about an year ago and the boyfriend didn't get there in time-- but I have a feeling Cole will get there in time-- maybe they'll go on the run or go get married.
I don't have a problem with Starr deciding on abortion, except that she's not making the choice for her, she's making the choice out of fear of Todd's reaction so I don't consider that an informed decision. An abortion is probably a better option for Starr, considering her dysfunctional family wouldn't provide much healthy support, but only if she makes that decision on her own, not out of fear of Todd, in my opinion.
-
Wow, Amy! I gotta start reading S.O.D. at the grocery store!!
-
Felicia-- only one of my grocery stores has the magazine a week early, they get it monday late afternoon or evening. The other stores get the new magazines on Friday of the same week, 4 days behind... getting the early scoop might take a bit of detective work LOL.
-
I've missed lots of the show this week (only caught a few minutes each day) so I feel like I am out of the loop. What the heck is going on with John, Antonio and Talia?!? This has to be some kind of set-up for Ramsey's sake, I'm thinking...
-
Felicia that's what I said from the beginning of Antonio cozying up to Ramsey and acting like such a prick. John did whisper to Talia, "are you sure you want to do this." before they left for the motel-- they're cops, they aren't that stupid.
Big week for Starr next next week.... try not to miss these ones.. also I think Rex is on the brink of finding out that he's Shane's father.
-
I really have to giggle at Rex's PI skills that he hasn't figured this one out yet. Too funny. Hasn't Adriana turned into a real witch. She's more like Dorian than she thinks.
I saw the commercial for Starr.
Bring back David Vickers already!
-
He's coming back in may for sweeps! I hope he finds out he's a buchanan!
-
Here's a scoop. Tina's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andrea Evans by Michael Bezjian/WireImage.comOne Life to Live will welcome back to its canvas a most special guest as the ABC serial prepares to mark its 40th anniversary: Come June, Andrea Evans will return as Tina Lord Roberts, the role for which she received a Daytime Emmy nod in 1990. Tina's arrival not only will bring with it the trouble that typically follows Viki's half sis, but also will open the door for another fan favorite to resurface. Hmmm....
"Even though Andrea has not appeared on OLTL since 1990, she has remained among the most requested characters to return to the show," says exec producer Frank Valentini. "I welcome her home to OLTL and to the role where she made an indelible mark on our audience."
Says Evans in her own statement, "For many years, both fans of mine and One Life to Live have wanted me to return. Now that the timing is right, I'm thrilled to be returning to the role of Tina, which I've always held near and dear to my heart."
Some teasers from the folks at ABC:- "Tina has endured a life-altering experience and will have a mysterious connection to one of Llanview's most powerful citizens."
• "Upon her return, Tina will first cross paths with her sister Viki and her brother Todd. Her appearance in town will spark a major story that will take place throughout the summer." -
I bet the connection is with Ramsey somehow...
But did anyone see it today?!? The last scene I saw was Star asking Cole to wait outside for her while she had the ultrasound. I had some stuff to do downstairs and when I cam back, they were in the car speeding back towards Llandview to ward off Todd at the diner. So did she have the abortion or not?
