    No news on the spinal tap, but maybe the trend will stay good :)

    Jerri, I'm glad to know they were delivered as scheduled.  It's our way of being there tomorrow.  Your mom was extremely proud of you and Viola.  Don't forget that.

    Deb, forgot to tell you that you simply must stay out of my bedroom at night! I had the most bizarre dream about you a couple nights ago............I was at your house...........I flew in..........then I drove, but didn't know where the airport was (surprise!)...........tried to talk you into turning this little area on the second floor into a balcony.............met your girls.........one was cracking up cuz of a 'horny' animal......................get the picture????Laughing

    Deb, great news.

    Jerri, was at a car wash today - a gas station converted into a hand car wash - 3 rows across, I was in the middle and the car in front of me to the right was being washed and as they were spraying the car with water I could see this big rainbow behind the car so I said hello to your mom.

    Hi everyone.  I was so worried about Vickie losing her electric yesterday and then we lost ours last night around 7 PM until 3 PM today!  There was a lot of heavy rain followed by high winds and it was a mess all over the Philly and South Jersey area as I am sure Valerie will attest to!

    I had a very stressful week on the home front and understand many of you have too.  I told Puppy and Vickie about my niece and nephew and my babysitting adventure this past week and maybe it will make someone smile here too. (BTW, I am cutting and pasting this post for saving time in case we lose power again!)

    My sil's father had a heart attack on Monday and she asked me if I would watch the kids in the late afternoon, get them dinner and to bed while she was at the hospital.  He had a cardiac cath and they put stints in (Nicki, this is where you explain about stints to me!!).  So I took care of Emily, 6, and Jake, 4 1/2.  One night, he tells me he has to go to the bathroom and he would call me when he was finished.  OK, I go take care of Emily but get distracted in the other room.  Emily calls me to come to the kitchen.  There is Jake, one sock on and a t-shirt and naked butt all covered in you-know-what and he is eating the dog's kibble.  It looks like those Combos snacks.  He looks up at me with those saucer blue eyes and the dimple and clefted chin and who could get mad?  He thought it was the same snack and told me later they didn't taste too good.  Guess not!  I am gettign too old for this!

    Anyway, her father is back home and feeling better.  They have a nurse coming to get him settled as of last night but who knows with this storm.  They live right near a PA State Park with a huge lake and I am sure it overflowed.  Luckily they don't have too many problems with it.

    so, tomorrow is a new week, fill #6 and thank God for Xanax and Vicodin.  I am sending lots of love to all my dear sisters and brother out there.  Hoping this week will be looking up for us all.

    deb that is great news so glad for you sister i will continue to pray for you and i hope your tx goes well i start my tx tuesday also so i will be thinking of you tuesday as i am getting my tx hello to everyone else and shopmamma to you i love you candie thanks again for the cards from your sunday school class tell them i love them and and will cherish them for ever i am going to try to send them something when i am able to get out so thank them for me ok  love to you all deb from ky

    Boy,what a cute story Beth. Dealing with small children is so much fun,isn't it? My sister is raising her 5 yr old granddaughter and at least once a day she says she is getting too old for this...lol.

    Slonedeb, I am so happy you liked the cards from my angels in my
    Sunday school class. You don't need to send them anything, they were so happy and thrilled to send them. That you enjoyed them is enough. Please remember you are always in our prayers.

    Wow!! What a great treat!

    Candie and her CCD class sent me a box of bears to give the kids at the hospital. I sat down and smiled as I unwrapped each one. I love the hugging bears!!!

    Going to cut and past in a couple of places because I'm not sure where everyone is reading..... 

    OK....good news first....there is no sign of cancer in my brain or my spinal fluid.  The lungs are totally clear. 

    I have one tiny spot that showed up on the PET scan on my liver that may or may not be cancer.  The big news is there is a lot of active cancer in my bone marrow.  It is also in a lot of lymph nodes that lit up in my neck and clavical area.  We only had a verbal report from the PET scan, so I am not sure exactly where the bones are affected, but from the sounds of it, it is wide-spread. 

    I am going to be starting on Avastin, Taxol and Zometa...hopefully on Friday if I can get the blood tests and kidney function tests done by then.

    I am discouraged by the amount of cancer I appear to have, but am relieved that I will be starting treatment soon.

    Hooray for no cancer in the brain or spinal fluid, Deb, that's great news!
