I find YOU TUBE to be helpful when I am stuck or trying something I am not sure how to do. (Knitting is new to me) You Tube has great quick video instructions both for knitting and crochet. Type You Tube Knitting or Crochet. You can be specific like You Tube Join a Color Knitting, etc.

Since I received my hugafan last january, I have been checking in periodically.  Mine of course is still the most beautiful one that you all have made, but some of the others are just incredible.  And your timing seems to be impeccable as to knowing just when to send one.

    Once again many many thanks.

    Neesie,

Look at the orange star to the left of the thread..........this star means the Community Afghan Thread won't "go lower" that the other 3 pinned threads.   This means that even if there are no posts for a few days, the thread will not fall lower and lower.     This is a good way to keep the Afghan Project very visible.    The "pinning" was something that was requested.

    Hugs. Madison

Oh, I finished an afghan today.   It is in the dryer.  I will take a pic and post tomorrow.

    Thanks bunches,  Madison

    Thank you mods.

    I enjoy making squares but......

If you have alot of ladies making squares, would you like me to make borders instead? It seems like alot of work for the 3 of you! I could border them and send them to you to put together. I know how much you enjoy doing than!

    Only asking..........

If you would prefer, I will gladly continue making squares!

    Lori,

It does help to have the squares bordered.   I use black Red Heart yarn.    If you need black yarn, let me know.   I just purchased 6 skiens of black.

Hi ladies - I've been in my own little world lately (just viewing a couple of my favorite threads) and ventured out to see this thread.  I LOVE it.  I'd like to contribute if you plan on keeping it up.  I'm a knitter/crocheter and have tons of yarn.

Should I get started?  Newvickie are you still sewing the squares together?

    Let me know.

I have been sitting here quietly reading, enjoying this thread, and practicing crocheting squares.  I have some made and ready to send to someone.  This is the most satisfying project I have done in a long time.
