my heartfelt goodbye

To my sisters at breastcancer.org,
It is with a heavy heart, that I must bid goodbye to the community. Unfortunately, my participation in this community and everything I say directly reflects upon the organization I now work for, and the conflict has become to great to continue to post here.
I want to thank each and every one of you, for the lasting impact you have left deep in my soul. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get breast cancer, but somehow, going through it with all of you by my side made getting up every day and fighting a little bit easier.
I wish only the best to all of you. I am honored that I had the opportunity to exist and thrive in this elite sisterhood. Part of who I am today, is because of the wealth of support, knowledge, and friendship I have received from all of you.
At the end of this week, I will ask the moderators to remove every post ever created under my screen name. It is in the best interest for what my life represents now, and while it may not sound like the best option, right now, it's the only solution I can come up with.
I will miss you terribly...and I expect the makeup, fashion, mojo, and of course, reconstruction topics to continue to thrive in my absence.
I love you all so very much, and I will miss you more than you know.
Thank you, just doesn't seem like it could ever be enough.
xoxoxo-from the girl who only plays to win.

Oh, Beth, I am so sorry to hear of this. I wonder if you could elaborate a bit on why there is a conflict between being part of your organization and posting here? More specifically, is it something you feel on a personal level or does it have to do with the rules of conduct here at bc.org?
And fwiw, I hope you get a big fat no from the mods when you ask them to delete all your posts. We all have enough rips in the fabric of our lives in dealing with cancer. Losing all that you've added here would be just another unfortunate loss. Love you girlfriend.
-
Aw, Beth, you'll be missed! I really don't understand the conflict but if you feel you must leave(and I hope you don't!) I just want to send you a virtual hug. You gave me such inspiration in the beginning of my journey. You emailed me the 'infamous' photo of your beautiful reconstructed breasts and it gave me a shot of much needed hope that I could still be a sexy woman after BC. So thank you....! Love ya!!
-
I'm sorry to hear you're leaving, but I can understand that it's important for your integrity to do so.
Take care!
-
beth ......... this has to be tough .......... 'godspeed' .......... cancer sucks! no matter the age, creed, sex, etc ............. best wishes on your endeavours ....... inspiring other BC sufferors has got to be fulfilling beyond comprehension .......... best of luck to you in realizing your potential post BC ...... congrats!
-
Beth - Best wishes to you...I hope the very best for you. You are a bright girl...you will do just FAB with whatever comes your way. I will miss you at our Make-Up thread, but I am confident you will have a beautiful, glamorous, colorful and gorgeous life! Rock On!
-
Beth,
I always read and enjoyed your posts and certainly will miss you. You gave a lot of yourself here and helped many. So sorry you've decided to leave us, but do understand your reason.
The very best to you with your wedding and in your future.

Beth, I recently pm'd. I hope you share email/address so we can keep in touch. I do look at you as one of my angels when it came to sticking to my desire for DIEP. I do remember not having an ounce of fight left for insurance issue and you came by on the reconstruction board with your cheerleading pom poms and gave me the boost I really really needed. I don't have yhr right words to say how much I thank you. I do wish you would just drop a note once in a while. How will we know what's going on with you?
-
You'll be missed, Beth.
But I think it's wrong for your posts to disappear. There's a lot of great information in them. Someone should be able to do a search, and find your advice because it is so sound, and she may not be able to get that piece anywhere else.
Best of luck in your life, Beth. Be well.
Anne

You will be missed by many!!!!
The only thing I can really say is that there is a bright spot in such sad news:
Beth, there have been many, many hard hits to the ladies on this board with recurrence and loss of loved ones here recently......and it is NICE to see someone leaving here in a happier way!!!!!!!!(not that we want to see you go, but I think you all get my meaning)
Best Wishes to you for the most wonderful life!!!!!!
Hugs
Jule

Beth, I just want to add to these many posts that you will be missed. Although we've never connected personally, I've read so many of your posts and they have always been so full of good information and inspiration. Good luck with your future endeavors.
You will be missed.
Hugs,
Sheila

Beth, I really don't understand your need to totally leave this site and i don't understand this "conflict" that seems to exist between your participation on this website and your job on the website you now work for. Is there some way you can dismiss the past conflict that happened on two threads, move forward, and be able to stay here at bco?
You have been an incredibly helpful, valued participant here and there seems to be a natural connection from the bco site to the website where you now work. I find the situation of you feeling the need to leave to be a huge step backward for everyone concerned.
I would love to see you stay here and enlighten us about reconstruction, and the many other things that you have experienced and are willing to share. I will hate to see you leave, especially for the reasons stated. I have always enjoyed chatting with you and learning from you. I always wish you the best of luck in your life, and thank you for everything. Please reconsider your decision.
hugs, celia
-
Beth,
All the best. You will be missed around here.
-
Beth, I'm so glad we'll meet on Sunday! In the meantime, I sent you a PM,
Hugs,
Ann
-

-
Best Wishes!
-
actually i agree with celia there must be some way for you to continue some level of participation here with us on bc.org
please reconsider
lets talk about it.....
-
Beth - You will be greatly missed, but again I respect your position. Thanks so much for all of your tips, lessons, advice and, of course, your humor - which is simply spectacular!!! You are something special!
Love ya Girl!

Keep spreading the love and the knowledge, my friend

-
Beth..you'll be missed. You have much to offer. I don't really know why you feel you need to leave..but I wish you the best in all that you do.
Be well..
-
Beth,
I wish you didn't feel you needed to leave, but if you feel there is a conflict of interest, then you must do what you have to. It would be best for all of us if we could keep your posts, you have been so helpful to so many, I know many more women will still be able to benefit from you posts.
Wishing you only the best.
-
Beth - we have never actually commented back and forth but since you are leaving I have to say thank you and let you know what an impact you have had on me. I am more of a lurker than an active presence here at BC.org although I did register at one point. I am an almost 4 year survivor (yeah!) but have to tell you that you (and 3-4 others here) are the reason I was able to do it! Your advice, encouragment and knowledge even though I hadn't posted got me through the worst times of my life and gave me the will, inspiration and ability to fight my cancer and not let my marriage disintigrate during that time! Thank you so much and I will miss reading your posts. I wish you all the success and happiness in the world!
