If I stomp my foot and pitch a fit and sulk for hours on end will that make you reconsider?
phooey.

and we didn't even get to see The Ring
-
Hey Beth, sorry that you have to chose. I suggest you can reenter under a different name. Then you can continue to give and to get but remain anonymous.
-
Beth,
I also join the others in a big "I don't get it" ... so may I make a suggestion?
I think a new member with the name ionlyplaytowin would be very welcome here.... and she can be just a breast cancer survivor and works in a widget factory. I am sure we could all pm each other so we can welcome her properly...
Think about it!!
Love,
g

Dear Beth, It's very sad to see you leave this site. I hope you reconsider, but in the meantime, good luck with your future endeavors. You will most definitely be missed!
Anne -
ahhhhhhh marisa that is such a cute picture! i will meet you in roosevelt field with beth and shop for makeup
-
Beth ... you will really be missed ... I was looking forward to seeing photos of the ring and of your wedding ... I agree with earlier posts ... and I don't understand the conflict - but will trust that there's one if you say there is ...
I'd love to see you come back and just post in moving beyond and the singles if you feel that that would resolve the conflict ...
I want to know how you're doing and what you're up to ... I love reading your stories ... can you please find a way to still post here ?? Do it for us!!!

Giving advice, even informally under a pseudonym, well, with big business you just never know when it will come back and bite you. Just depends who can get into the names and email address and then the rest is easy. Great yes? Think of our high schoolers who put something on the web, and then are excluded from a promising future or college.
Official spokespeople are held to a high standard in our country. I can understand why you feel you must leave as it's hard to be officially unofficial. Just the way it is in the U.S.A. nowadays.
We'll miss you, Beth. You've helped many and I can think of no worthier task than continuing to help women and men afflicted by this beast called breast cancer. Toward all's mutual goal of its final eradication, I wish my hand in fond adieu!
All the best to you and yours.
Tender -
You must do what is best for you. Best wishes to you for the rest of what I am sure will be an exciting and successful life.
-
Beth,
I wish the best of everything in life, hope you will stop back in every once in a while to say hi in the chat room. You have been a joy here to so many. Take care and again the very best to you. Hugs xoxo KLynn

It matters not who you work for. You are still an individual with your own feelings and ideas. There is no conflict with your work and this site, as long as you are not giving specific advice or advertising. You should remain in the chat room at least, why add stress in your life by doing something you seem to NOT want to do and that is leave this site. There are ignorant and cruel people no matter where you go, that is why there are ignore and mute buttons on computers. PLease reconsider your decision to leave... it isn't a valid one. You are entitled to a private life, and if this site is part of it, then so be it.
-
I'm another who will be sorry to see you go. I know that you have helped so many people with information and support. It is unfortunate that there is a conflict between your posting here and your professional position, but it is certainly understandable.
Please know that you have helped countless people with your postings here Beth. Thank you for that!
(((HUGS)))

Beth,
So glad we were once such a big part of each other's lives. Good luck to you!

Dear Beth: I hope your job and future are bright and full of happiness. I will miss your posts so much. Good luck and all the very best for you in your life. Pearl

So I'm still waiting back to hear from the moderators regarding deleting all of my posts. I would hate to have to do it all on my own, one post at a time.
Thanks for all the PM's, emails, cards, and well wishes. You guys rock, (and you are my ROCK, especially at times like this when I'm so stressed out).
I'm letting go of trying to rack my brain as to who it was that contacted my bosses, and just trying to move forward, and get past the fact that the people I work for have read everything I ever wrote about finding my mojo, and why I think white eyeliner is a crucial component of anyone's make up bag...
I can't wait to see a few faces at the NYC get together. And I promise I won't stay away from chat, and I'll get there as often as possible.
Thanks again ladies.
-
Beth, I am sorry to see you go. You have helped me so much through my surgery and recon. I refered to your site frequently while going through my recon about what to expect.

Well this just bites. Beth I love reading your posts. I just posted a question to your site last night. Now I read this. You will be so missed here. Geez. Good luck friend.
-
Beth, that is just unbelievable. I can't imagine what kind of a petty, vindictive person would delight in endangering someone else's livelihood. That is lower than low.
-
Beth - I wasn't aware that someone from here contacted your bosses - that is just outrageous - and totally unbelievable for me ... that's stooping to all all time new low .... can't even begin to think about their motives ... and what they were looking to accomplish.
I will really miss seeing posts from you Beth ... you truely are an inspiration. I wish you years and years of health, happiness, and mojo.
Hugs,
Doreen

Geez, Beth, I had no idea something did happen when I wrote my post. I'm so sorry, and wish to assure people it was not me: I was merely affirming how I could see Beth's needs as she described.
I've seen these kind of negative events occur. We all know that moving on makes we who stay uncomfortable in a way as we're not moving along with you or in our special way.
Nevertheless such is very sad, and I regret this has involved you as you embrace yourself with your new job.
All the best to a well-deserved adventure, Beth. You might still drop in at times as the door is always open.

How many times can members interfere with the lives of those on these boards behind anonymity This is appalling behavior! - Completely unforgivable.
Beyond words.
PS-I second NS suggestion and hope that you will consider it-
-
Hey Beth,
What a despicable thing to do, I'm sorry.
I'm sure this can't or won't happen, but I wish your bosses could let us know who contacted them, and that it could be posted here. I find myself becoming more and more hesitant to post here on bco anymore, as I feel like I'm reading more and more about really awful things like this happening behind the scenes. It's disconcerting (to say the least!) to think that you're interacting with people who are not who they portray themselves to be.
I wish you all the best, and again, I'm sorry someone could take something so good and positive and turn it into something ugly.
-
I'm sickened that someone would do such a thing. And kind of scared, too, just to know that someone would do that.
God.
All I can say Beth is that IMO your posts could never "reflect badly" on you or any associate of yours. To me, your words reveal a beautiful, honest, empathetic, kind, bold, dynamic, intelligent, take-charge, fun-loving, life-affirming woman -- who nonetheless went through hell and back and has survived to tell the truth about it and thrive.
best,
Ann
-
very well said Ann!!

Beth, I am so very sorry that someone would contact your work and end your privacy here. It's despicable and downright unethical on the part of the person or persons who were out to embarrass you. This should be a private place (which of course we know it's not), and private matters i.e. disputes should be handled within this community. I am very sorry this has happened. I hope you find much happiness and stay well.

Beth.... although we have not communicated much but I have thoroughly enjoyed your sites and chatting in the chat room.
You have definitely been an asset to this organization and I know that you would not have made the decision to leave unless it was the best thing. There will be a big empty space which you one filled but I believe that the work you will continue to do with your new endeavour will inform and enhance the lives of many more with bc. I will definitely have to get your website.
Good luck and hope to see you in miss.... I will pm you about a plan of something in Vancouver this summer. Zar and others you know have said they will come.
Hugs to you and your future endeavors....marriage and all that.
Take care
myrna ( hi5)
