Now that I am home I have to check all the "dirt"!

And Mr. Danny Noriega, or "Mr. Snap-Snap", like I call him, to me, does not have anything sweet... LOL; sweet was Josiah!

Oh, forgot to comment, the Yeager guy was actually pretty HOT!  His son was adorable, I love red heads!  Knowing that he had a son and not seeing a mother/wife around made him HOTTER!  LOL

Too bad that he is gone!

Bandteacher, hahaha  you cracked me up!

Margo, I missed the dirt on Danny Noriega .. what did he do or say?

NBN, you're right about Josiah and I miss him!  I thought Simon was waaaay too rude to the Yeager guy .. he didn't deserve to be put down so much when he was going home anyway!!

Oh, I loved Josiah.  I totally wanted him to win it all.  What a dear, sweet boy.

I totally you-tubed David A. today.  He is such a semi-pro already, and I had no idea!

I didn't think that Mr. Snap-Snap was a sweetie until I saw his face soaked with tears for Alaina.  That won me over.

I hope Danny and Amanda (rocker chick) go home this week--I'm not sure of which other two, but definitely I hope those two.

    I love David Archuleta too!

I just saw the show so won't mention the guys for all you west coasters waiting for it to come on but I'm afraid you're right about the rocker chick Anne.  I really liked her at the start but whoa!  I would love to see her come out with talent and something a bit different tomorrow but not feeling confident it will happen.

He he, didn't check this thread last night so I wouldn't spoil anything for myself.  Char, I see where one of your faves looks like John Travolta.

For those that didn't see it, here's what TMZ had to say about Danny Noriega - "The girls, especially Pepe-Le-Pew-like Amanda Overmeyer were ragging on Danny Noriega for the Christmas video that surfaced on MySpace featuring Danny boy talking about raping mothers. Class."

I saw his video on TMZ.com.

    Hi girls:

Okay: Mr. Jason Castro brought tears to my eyes... FANTASTICO!

All of the rest were good but No. 1!  Wham-Bam... you got to go!

Mr. Noriega... oh, snap-snap out of their... that is not the stage for you... on the flip side, he can sing and I like his sense of "HIM"... may be if he cut the moves... I think he is still going to go through.

"Ezy" might be the one going home along w/ "Mr. Falseto".

This time I even liked the rocker dude... boy he can sing!  Cook is his name?

Love the way all the boys are putting their own versions to the songs and make it updated/their own.

As for the SCANDALS: Mr. Hernandez,... a guy has to earn his living... girls do it, why not guys?!

Mr. Noriega's X-mas card blah, blah, blah, is just of a spoiled little brat... payed not attention... whatever...!

    Let's see the girls tonight.

    Later,

I really think the guys are outshining the girls this season!

David A. was a little shaky last night, what did you guys think?

Agree on Mr. Wham-he is a cute guy, but I think he is more suited for his acapella group (I checked them out!  I'm crazy!).

David H. did a great job again, too!  He is really surprising me, and getting better and better!

I loved Jason Castro, too!  He is so stinkin' sweet and shy.

    "Ezy" was boooooring.

I thought rocker dude did well, but I swear, he hit a funky chord in the beginning (the band/choir teacher in me coming out).  The fact that he stayed right in key said a lot for him.

Danny N. stunk last night.  I think he is a great singer, but I think he has to get past the "I'm better than everyone and make no mistakes" thing, because that is the aura he seems to have.

Hope the girls do some good stuff tonight!

OH heck, this posted twice, and my computer won't delete it or let me edit it right now.

I did want to say that Randy is annoying the snot out of me when he is all, "You overshot the pitch a bit, you were sharp," or "that one note was flat," or "you rushed a bit in that one spot...."

Is he suddenly a music scholar?  Again, the teacher-snob in me.  When I rant like that it drives dh nuts.

Margo ... I Know!!  Put some dreds on Mr. Travolta and he could be Jason's father!!!  Well he could be anyway without the dreds!  lol  I'll have to check out the video of Danny on TMZ.

I was so happy to see Jason do so well, he is so sweet and cool!!  I love his unique style and his humbleness!

OMG, David Cook totally rocked Lionel Richies "Hello".  I Loved it!!!  He totally changed that song up and did it perfectly!

Danny N does have talent and a certain attitude that makes me laugh ... it infuriates my SO, he can't Stand him  lol .. but yeah, he sure seems full of himself.  I'll have to check out the spoiled brats video on TMZ, thanks Margo!

I agree that Luke (Mr. Falsetto) is going to go, and maybe "Ezy", although I liked Ezy last night and last week ... But the guys were Hot last night and when they all do well (except for Luke perhaps) then it gets tough!

I hate to see Luke go (he is so handsome, so easy on the eyes!), but he just isn't on the same level as some of the better singers. I can't stomach Danny's arrogance any longer!  Can't wait to see the girls tonight--hope Amanda and Kady go home this week.

awb-you don't like Kady?  I think she could be really good, she just hasn't figured out what to do yet.

If you are crazy like I am, google "Chapter 6," Luke's acapella group.  They are amazing.  He is very handsome.

    Do any of you vote?

awb:  I agree about Luke being easy on the eyes and he seems so nice... I do like his singing but just not sure his style is idol material .. I'm not sure I like Kristy  ... we'll see tonight ...

bandteacher:  I don't vote yet but my 9 year old daughter will want me too eventually  lol  I usually do when it gets down to just a few

I think Kady's a good singer, but her sullen attitude bothers me . I really liked Alaina a lot better.  I lilke Brooke--she reminds me so much of a throwback to Carol King or Carly Simon.

Oh, I think Brooke is so sweet, too.  She is so genuine in her singing, and her personality.

I loved Alaina.  She reminded me of a young Carrie Underwood!

I liked Alaina too.  I think having her Mom dress her up like a Barbie doll really hurt her.  Simon was right in that she looked 'old fashioned'.

    Hey Ladies,

Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks, I was away. Wow so much going on with Idol. I agree with everyone, I just love Jason, he is sooo cute and shy, just want to gobble him up and hug him. I said the same to my hubby that he looks like John Travolta, who by the way is my favorite!!! It must be the Jersey girl in me, but I have always loved him, his BIG quirky smile, and beautiful eyes---WOW.

Anyway, I hope Jason is around to the end, David Arch. did a pretty good job last night, not as good as last week. David Cook was by far the best last night( in my opinion) Michael fantastic too. I can not stand that little snot nose Danny any longer either, time for him to go home. David Hern. was weak last night too. I really like Luke ( like you said nice on the eyes) but he really didn't have a good night either. Eze will probably have another week or so, he's good but too many others are better.

Lets hope the ladies pick it up tonight, I hated to see Alaina leave so soon too. Brooke has been one of my favorites too, love the Carole King type.

Interesting no one has mentioned Paulas babbling on the show,, it drives me crazy that she always seems drunk, I think its more of a "show "  now than anything else, she mumbles, and makes no sense to me,---- hey maybe its my drugs not hers heheheheee...Randy is kind of out of it this year doesn't seen that interested...As you can tell I'm a huge Simon fan..he cracks me up. Looking forward to tonights show...Talk to you all after the show..Hugs all KLynn xoxo

Ha, KLynn, you made some funnies.  I totally said in an earlier thread that Paula seemed like she was stoned one night!  I had to laugh that you said, "maybe it's my drugs not hers!"

I like Simon, too.  I think we are in a minority with that one.  I love his comparisons, like, "you look like you've been holed up in your room for a year."  (to that long frizzy haired kid that got booted right away).  Kind of a tactless thing to say, but funny nonetheless.

Welcome back KLynn .. oh Travolta is a huge favorite of mine!  Love his quirky smile and piercing eyes!

I always look forward to what Simon has to say, he's my favorite judge!  He tells it like it is and I'm Usually okay with it .. just sometimes I do wince though  lol

Paula is on pain killers and I feel for her!  She can be such a ditz though but now that I'm all drugged up I don't think I'm all together there all the time either!

Randy is okay, I wouldn't want to go first like he has to but it has to keep him honest!  He actually has a very impressive career as a producer.

I agree also about Alaina being dressed too old fashioned and boring for her last performance .. too bad because she is so good and only 17!

Brooke definitely reminds us of Carly Simon .. I like her but want to see something a bit different from her.

Okay, I watched the show today since we were busy last night, but WOW! I am agreeing that there were some great singers last night. My fav was David Cook, and I also really like Jason Castro. Too funny about his story of dinner out with his date and pulling off one of his dreds! I also thought that David H and Michael were good. David A. was okay, but it wasn't my favorite song for him. I still think he is the one to beat, overall though. Can't wait for the ladies tonight!!!! I'll try to watch it live for once, but then, being on the west coast, I have to pretty much stay off my computer since the results are always plastered all over the place!!

I'll check in later and see what you all thought!

    Hello Idolholics,

I agree with most said.  Did I already say that Jason Castro goes to the same college as my daughter?  Texas A & M.    I'll have her look around local restaurants for fallen dreads.  ewwww

I love Jason Castro but wonder if he has what AI is looking for?

I think Kady Malloy needs a spanking.  Ashamed to say she went to high school in my little town of Katy.  She does not have respect or manners when talking back to judges.

But I do think the judges goofing off and silliness is making the contestants more nervous.   Maybe they need a spanking too?  lol

Paula?  Why do they have her there?  She just remixes what Randy says without all the Yo's and Dawg's.   I think I liked her better on heavy drugs.  (hers not mine)  lol

wow, did I ever sound grouchy?  I'll spank myself and go to bed.

My name is Angel and I'm an Idolholic ...  lmao

Wow, Paula was out of it tonight!  Even after my last comment saying how I feel for her, I was annoyed!  But they were All acting pretty goofy.  They wasted so much time they barely had time to critique Syesha's performance!

Watson, my sister lives in Katy and her daughter just graduated from Texas A&M!  I didn't know Jason went there, he must be pretty smart!

I was happy to see Amanda get some glowing reviews .. she picked the perfect song and did it so well.  What was up with her though, she seemed so preoccupied and wouldn't smile!?

I think Kady is gone as is either Kristy or the little girl (Ramillee sp?).  I agreed with Simon though, the boys were hotter overall than the girls this week!

This year the boys are cleaning up this competition.  Its usually the other way around with the boys weak and the women blowing the comp away.  I like Brooke.  I like her unique style and spin on the songs.   The rocker girl did much better tonight.  I didn't like Ramiele as much last night either.

I think Amanda did the best last night but I think the boys are better overall.  I think Kristy, Kady, Luke and Danny are gone tonight.  What do you think?

Okay, here are my picks going home tonight: No.8 (PLEASE... Alaina should still be there instead of this girl) and... I really don't know who else...

Amanda, the "rocker/nurse chick" was very good last night but she is camera shy... almost no eye contact.

    And Brooke... OMG... LOVED IT:

    http://televisionista.blogspot.com/2008/03/video-american-idol-top-8-girls.html Totally agree w/ AH.

The 2 voices that I think are the most different for today's musical market are the Ahisah (the girl that lost her father), No. 7 above, and No. 3, Amanda.  The Irish girl is awesome... may be she will go far career wise.  She reminds me a little of Ann Wilson of Heart.

    As for the boys:

Numbers 7 and 8.  Luke, "Falseto Guy", I just don't like him, easy on the eyes but not in my ears!  And "Ezie", just b/c Simon puts him down, not because I don't like him, I do.  He just has tremendous competition from the remainder "kids".

    Don't forget, "Lost" tonight... LOL.

OOH!!!  So much to add, but I have to get my son to therapy.

Any other Lost-aholics?  We should start a Lost thread, too.  I am also addicted to that show.

I think Carly and Brooke were really great last night.

The judges were ticking me off, and I agree that they were making the contestants really uncomfortable.  I think they are too comfortable in their roles, and possibly bored.  It's like a slap in the face to the kids who are really hoping this is their shot.

    Ok, gotta go!

    Hi all,

Hey there Bandteacher and Angel thanks for the welcome back!! Wow  I think a few of the ladies did a fantastic job, My favorite is Brooke , I think her version of Pat Benatars "Love is a Battlefield" was brilliant I think she is just building each week for a fantastic ending, she probably doesn't want to outdo herself, if she totally wows everyone now she won't have anything at the end to blow everyone away with, (just my thoughts) I also think Carly is giving her a great run, shes not going down without a fight, love her too. What a strong voice she has, and it seemed so effortless, like she could just turn it on whenever she felt like. I like Amanda, but I don't think she has a strong enough voice to carry her through the whole competion, she'll do fine on the outside like Chris Doughtry.

Okay I think Kady is definately going tonight and maybe Aisia (the first girl last night) kind of corny. Or maybe Ramielle--not sure if she'll go this week or next.

As for the guys I think and hope Danny is going, enough of him and his hissy fits already. I would also have to say Luke, although he's cute, kind of corny too and  his voice is not strong enough.  I did love his Queen song, not many singers can pull off Queen.

Talk to everyone after tonights show, will try not to post too early for the west coasters. Hugs another idol-holic here ----KLynn
