Hi Linda...the meeting I attended was

I think it is

Hope all goes well for you this week!!
-
Sylvia...holding your hand for tomorrow
-
Dear Brenda,
Just sat down to my computer, lite my pink candle that someone that my daughter knows had sent to me in 2006 and thought I'd check in to see who had visited and saw your message---I DO think it was a good sign that we (Steve and I ) ran into you today...!!!!
If it is possible---I'm more nervous this time than the last two times---because I KNOW what is possible--the surgery is not the issue for me--It is WHAT they will/will not find...which I know you will all understand---
Thanks for your prayers--I'm hoping for 3 hunks of nothing being removed tomorrow---and then I want to concentrate on NOt growing any more of these things!!
-
Thanks SoCalLisa (Liz)--I can feel it and I'm glad you've got that good tennis grip...I'm laughing and crying at the same time!!!
-
Sylvia, I am praying for good results and we are all holding your hand. Stay strong, and know that you are loved.
Melia
-
Sylvia-Knowing our wonderful medical system you are probably home by now. I hope you are not in any pain. Relax now and just wait. Yeah right. O.K. have a drink then. Do whatever makes you feel better.
Starfish-How are you doing?
-
Thanks Lisa.
Silvia and Starfish, we are all here for you. Lots of positives and prayers heading your way and (((((Hugs)))))
Linda
-
Hi......oh boy....what a day ..left at 7 am and got home at 4---but I'm home and trying to get ahead of the pain. They actually installed 4 MRI guided wires --in and out of the machine for over an hour and THEN told me that the DR wanted a mammo!!!!!
Anyway--surgery started 1 1/2 hrs late and I'm icing everything and taking Vicodin but am dang uncomfortable---and hoping I hear that it was all scar tissue/benign... something/something! It will be a few days I'm sure but I'm really glad this part is over and will deal with the rest-come what may...{{{hugs back to you all}}} and thanks for you prayers!

-
Sylvia-Glad it is over and you can stay home and recover. Nothing like Vicodin dreams in the night. Hope they are good ones.
-
Hey, Girls:
(Thinking of you, Stephanie.....)
I made it! The first two days of the hospital were terrible. Days 3 and 4 got progressively better. Phil (BF)was so great while I was in the hospital. He took care of Gabri (DD) and brought me things at the hospital. He did an outstanding job.
I am still sore - some moments hurt more than others. I can't sleep well at all. I also have trouble staying awake at odd moments of the day. All part of detoxing from the anesthesia and recovering from the shock to my body - I am guessing.I got 2 of my 6 drains out today. Now I am home-schooling Gabri. Thanks again for all your prayers and good wishes.
-
So glad you checked in, Lisa! Sounds like you're holding up well, everything considered. Must feel good to get some of the drains out. I can imagine it's impossible to sleep after being sliced and diced on both front and back.
Is the home schooling permanent, or just for while you recuperate?
-
Hope you're feeling better, fast, Sylvia. Let us know as soon as the path is bck.
-
Dear Lisa---Hope you are coming along fine---you sound great...makes me feel quilty for whining so much with just my little thing going on---take care---and Nash thanks for checking in!
-
Starfish-Glad you are home recouperating. Those drains are a pain. Hope the other 2 get out soon.
Sylvia-You are not whining. Your surgery is just as important as everyone elses.
SoCal-Didn't you have some tests or doctor visits last week?
-
Sylvia & Starfish - hope you keep recovering & don't get any bad news at all.
-
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday....
Sylvia...waiting is the pits and your procedures sound horrible..how are you today??
Starfish..good to hear from you...you have been through so much and keep such a good attitude..hope you are feeling better soon...thinking of you...
BMD...I just saw docs who want to do some more tests on my liver..I have an U/S scheduled soon and a mammo...they didn't draw blood yet...waiting til the day of the U/S...but the doc was happy for my 20 pounds of weight loss..he doesn't know it but I went from Obese to Heavy on the BWI index...
-
Guitargirl, what type of cat do you have? I've been looking for a Burmese young female. Anybody know of one?
Sylvia and Starfish, hope you feel better with each day. We are all praying for you.
Lisa, I pray your tests come out good. Darn that chemo.
I just signed up for the Race here in Kalamazoo. I'm helping with billboards, etc. We are raffling off a limited edition mustang convertible! Moneys raised will be used this year for 2,000 free mammograms for the uninsured and underinsured. This is really exciting! Last year we provided close to 700 free mammos.
Love and prayers to all. Linda
-
Hi all... so much happening with all of you.
Love, hugs, and positive thoughts coming to all of you.
Cheers, Jodi
-
Jodi--I just hopped on-line for a second, saw your post, and went off to read your others posts since you've been back on-line. Good heavens, woman! You'll have to fill the SD group in here, but I just wanted to say I'm really happy that Zoe is doing so well, and happy that you've pulled through your recent ordeals. <<<<<<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
-
Sylvia - how much longer do you have to wait for the path report? All that MRI/guided wire/mammo plus surgery sounded like quite the ordeal. Glad they gave you plently of Vicodin for recovery. Do keep us updated - good thoughts coming your way~~~~
Lisa/Starfish - wonderful to have you check in! So, how do you like the new 'girls'? Hope you get more drains out soon - that always is a big step forward. Are you doing some simple range of motion exercises? I am sure Gabriella is loving being home with you. Get lots of rest - middle of the day is okay!
soccermom - glad you found us! How was the SK Sanctuary? I've been there once and am looking forward to going there again around May. Can you come to lunch with us in Little Italy on the 29th?
Liz - congrats on the 20 pounds! That's gotta make everything work better - no wonder your doc was pleased. Let us know about the ultrasound.
Shirl - couldn't you drive up to LA after 2pm on Sat? Pleeze?
Melia - hope everything aligns so that you can join us. It's been too long!
Brenda - it's cool that you keep running into BCO sisters. What a magnet you are!
Jodi - thanks for dropping by and leting us drool over sweet Zoeann. Why don't you toss her in her little infant seat and cruise on down and have pizza with us late this month? Or catch a ride with one of our north cty. inland members - there are several. Sorry you have had such a miserable go of it lately - you are due for some smooth times now!
I've found a yoga class that I can go to, through Kaiser, and it is helping my body feel more like 'me'. I've tried to do my yoga tapes through chemo and my surgeries - but that wasn't very regular at all. Having an instructor makes a huge difference in one's progress. It's heartening to discover that the one thing chemo didn't destroy was my flexibility. I'm as limber as before - not as limber as in my 20's, but still. Now, my balance, that still needs work.
Love y'all
Lisa
-
Hi--nothing yet on the labs---I will feel lucky if I know B-4 the weekend--have a f/u appt on 3/12 and would not be surprised if it goes till then--boy do I have a terrible hematoma in the one breast--not on the previous BC side---she must have been digging deep---anyway--I'll post as soon as I know and now I'm going to look at those fab baby pics!!
-
Linda : before I got my two cats, I was looking for a Burmese because I knew I was less allergic to them. But when I got to one of the breeders, she said she no longer bred them but bred Tonkinese instead. The breed started out as half-Burmese and half-Siamese. These are the friendliest, sweetest cats in exsistence. To find breeders, check out "Cat Fancy" or look on the web for a rescue organization for whatever kind of cat you want.
When I got them, Joli was a retired show cat. Chaco, the avatar, failed about everyway a tonk could except personality which he wins hands down. Cannot recommend Tonks highly enough.
Jodian: great to see you & Zoeann back.

Can someone send me the info on this months meet? Zoe and I would love to try and make it!

on 29 March, does 11:30 work?? That way we can
beat the crowds...
Still waiting for Sylvia's news...
-
HELLO_ ALL....I'm so glad to be able to say "Everything was benign" -there were fibroids and scar tissue and fluid and she had it all tested and it all came back neg--I'm so relieved and glad that I called one last time at 4:15 today and left a message and the Dr called me back just B-4 5 and said" What's going on?" and I said "That's why I'm calling you and what I'd like to know" and just from her tone I knew it was going to be fine.....SOOOOO thanks for all of your prayers and support and I'm really going to relax this weekend and have some fun!! I would love to get my hands on that baby so I hope you can bring her with---I'm the best Nanna in the world (at least that is what my grandchildren say!!) Oh boy---I'm glad that this is over---thanks everybody!!
-
