yeah .... you didn't miss much at all ....
fan guy was weird ... I really didn't catch his fingernails and I'm glad I didn't from your posts here ...
the single dad w/ the adorable son wasn't that great ...
the girl from Ireland was good .. didn't realize she'd been selected to go to Hollywood previously ... what'd you think of all the tattoos on her bf or dh ?? over the top ... I didn't care for the tattoos on his face .. those must have really hurt!!

Wow, Last night was uneventful again, they really need to get on with the auditions. A couple of wackos again last night , and a few talented singers, but most just so-so. lets hope they get to Hollywood and narrow them down fast, hugs KLynn

Soooooo------------
what does everyone think so far with this years talent??? Looks like there will be a few really good talents in it this year. I really like the girl that looks and sounds like Carole King, there was also that young guy that sang a Queen song, very impressive, not an easy song to sing. I kind of half watched last night, but look forward to them getting on with the real competion... Hope everyone posts once we get down to the top 12. Huggles KLynn

I LOVE that Australian guy that sang Queen! I also like the young girl who lost her Dad just before the first audition. I totally LOVE the girl from Ireland, and the two young boys (one of them lost his voice for a while, the other one is a bit flamboyant but awesome).
I also really like the kid that lives in his car. I think he is talented, but scared to death. He needs this.
I LOVE IDOL! I only started watching it in Season 3, but have been addicted since! -
Can you believe it, we have three from Indiana this year. That must be a first. The rocker lady is from right by my home town. I really hope she does well.
I was so bummed that Josiah did not make it. I was hoping he would have a chance. I am sure that he will still make it big, he just needs someone to contact him now.
Now the fun begins. I love it when it gets down to these shows.

The rocker chick is so cool! I love that she is a nurse. Way to surpass the stereotypes of either one! Woo hoo!
I can hardly wait. I wonder about some of the people they put thru, although they hardly would feature them during the auditions. Now I don't know if I love them or not!
-
Hey girls: no comments as to the boys and girls singing?! As to the guys, I love Archuleta and I have the hots for Mr. Australia!!!!!!! He is so fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the girls, hum... not sure yet! The "Yes" girl...
What about some of these "kids" having had previous records contracts?!
-
Hey nbn ... the aussie guy certainly is a hottie .. and man he can sing!! The other guy I liked is the young one with black hair ... David ??
For the girls ... I really like the Irish girl - surprising that she's previously had a record contract! There are many others I liked too... I think the girls did better than the guys for the first round ...
still wishing they'd change the rules and not have it be equal numbers of guys and girls in the top 10 ...

Oh yeah, the Australian guy from Georgia, Michael Johns, has charisma and talent! I also like the kid with the dreadlocks, Jason Castro .. he has moments where his face resembles John Travolta! I think he's really good too. The young boy David is amazing.
The girls .. I like the Irish girl Carly also and the rocker nurse Amanda Overmyer . Also the 'yes' girl, Syesha Mercado was fantastic.
So who do you think is going home? I hope Kristy Lee Cook and David Hernandez at least ...
-
Boys going home, from the left to the right: No. 5 and No. 9!
Girls going home from the left to the right: No. 4 and No. 8.
These are off course, only my guesses and in accordance to my own personal review of their performance last night! Are we in for some surprises?! Probably!
-
I'll guess 4 and 9 (boys) and 5 and 8 (girls)
-
ooooh I'm with Lilia, got the hots for mr. Australia...He is gorgeous AND he can sing! I think Kristy lee Cook and Amy (??) will go home.
I think the Peter Frampton look a like will go home for sure...
Marietta
-
Wow Lilia, you were right on with the girls! Shoot, I realized after watching the show that I didn't really dislike David Hernandez! I thought #9 would go to but unfortunately it was #10. Oh well, he wasn't that great but I thought he would go further.
-
He-he! I got three out of four! Not bad ahm?! No help from anyone just my gut feeling!
Let's see what happens next week; they better come up w/ better song choices or heads w/ be rolling!!!!
I also like Jason Castro and the girl that lost her father (her voice is so different that I could spot her any where... the rocker chick too!).
The Irish girl... okay... she should have not tattooed that entire arm! Holly molly! They had her covering it! LOL
As for Ryan Seacrest, too stuffed-up! I hate at the end of each show when he thanks Paula and Randy and says nothing to Simon! Rude! So what, aren't we used to Simon yet?! He speaks the truth. And yeah, the truth hurts sometimes (he could slightly sugar coat it) and other times, he is wrong, i.e. Jennifer Hudson (is that her name? - LOL).
-
I've been without a computer all week-I have been itching to talk about this!!!!
OMG-Mr. Australia is so stinkin' hot and cute. I just love him, but I adore David, too. He is adorable-I loved how he just giggled after he sang that night.
I'm not sure what girl I like best. I think I like the girl who's Dad died-she is pretty original, and I really like the young Phillipino girl, she reminds me of Jasmine Trias.
I'm not sure about the Ireland girl anymore. She's really good, but as far as her already having once had a recording contract, why does she need Idol to get her jumpstart?
-
Oh, I thought Jason Castro was adorable too, with his guitar. He was a cutie!
-
OMG! David Archuleta, my kid, brought the house down! To me a good song is one that touches my heart... this version of John Lennon's song sang by Archuleta pierced right through my heart! Man oh man, was I crying like a baby... UAU!
Have no gut guesses who is going home regarding the boys... I think it is going to be a surprise(s).... The good ones kinda of sucked and the okay ones were good/excellent, Hernandez as an example.
Later,
-
They might as well just go ahead and give this Idol to David Archuleto. He just blew everyone away with his Lennon song tonight.
-
LOL -- Naughty, great mind think alike. Wasn't that awesome!
-
Ok, because I it hasn't shown here yet, I scrolled right past your posts until I can see it. Have watched this since Season 1 and love it! I think there are several that have record contracts - not fair I think.
-
David Archuleto was definitely the best of the night. I think some of them need to learn how to take criticism though. I don't think some of them are doing themselves any favors talking back to Simon all the time though.

Haven't seen Idol yet tonight here in Oregon, but I love David Archuletto! I do have to disagree with the people who think that those who are "semi-professional" shouldn't have a shot at this. I think it's naive to expect these kids to not have previous experience of some sort. To be able to perform at the level they are at requires lots and lots of practice and if they have had previous recording contracts but for whatever reason, haven't made it yet, I have no problem with that. AI is a great way to gain the exposure they need--just look at that kid, Josiah and all the fame he is achieving as a result of this show. Anyway, really looking forward to tonight. It just came on here, so later!!!
Anne -
Okay, I'm back from the west coast airing of this edition of idol (Feb. 26) and WOW! can David Archuletta sing. Hands down, that little dynamo is by far the one to beat!!!! My ranking of tonight would be:
#10-Luke
#9-Michael Johns
#8-Jason Y.
#7-Jason C.
#6-Danny
#5-Robbie
#4-Chikezie
#3-David. C
$2-David H.
#1-David A.
I actually thought Michael Johns was so good the last couple of weeks, but I did NOT like the song choice tonight at all!
Can't wait for the girls tomorrow night!
Anne -
Anne, I did see a little clip that Ellen is giving Josiah a chance but I don't remember what she's doing. Tonight is the girls. I think David is going to be very hard to beat.
-
Okay... after "sleeping over" the Boys' renditions, here are my picks to go home on Thursday:
No. 2, even though he probably has a lot of people backing him up... just like Sangiah (whatever his name was, at least this one can sing) and No. 10, just b/c Randy/Paul/Simon keep on saying that this "kid" does not "have it", as a rocker... I did like her performance of last night.
Can't wait to see what the girls are going to bring on to the plate tonight.
-
I'm going to agree with No. 2, but I also think the other one going home is going to be No. 7. He's such a nice guy, but he really isn't a performer.
I freakin' LOVE little David Archuleta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.
I'll totally buy his CD's right now. Gimme one.David H's song was so good, too!!! He surprised me. I thought he was going to be a dud. I even did a rewind on the DVR to rewatch his performance.
Paula seemed like she was stoned last week. She was so much more coherent this show.I'm so addicted to this show!
-
My top two favorites for the guys are: 1) David Archuleta 2) Michael Johns with David Hernandez coming in 3rd. I really would like to see Danny go this week--he's got an arrogant attitude and his last two performances have been awful. I think the other guy to go will be either Jason Yeager or Robbie Carrico. Can't wait to hear the girls tonight---not sure who will go, but the phillipino girl (can't spell her name) is my favorite so far I think.
Anne
-
Okay, so for the girls, the only one noteworthy to me was the Irish girl Carly. The others really need to step up their game.
-
I am SO looking forward to tonight's show, but AS USUAL!!! we here on the west coast are still waiting for it to come on!! I have been on the Idol boards, and it looks as if the girls weren't too good but I will reserve judgement and decide for myself! I was looking at the website: www.diaidol.com and it appears that Carly, Brooke, A'siah, and Amanda have the most votes so far, but then the west coast hasn't voted yet!!
Can't wait for the show, Anne -
oops--in reading my post, I meant to type: www.dialidol.com --I SOOO need my freakin' reading glasses!!!
