OMG, Amy, wasn't it great? I got soooooo excited when Bette kissed Tina, but scared for her when she started crying. I too think that she should just get honest with herself and with Jodi and end it gracefully. Even if she and Tina have a bumpy road, at least they really dig one another, not to mention that they share a child together. And, yeah, that Brenda girl does seem rather psycho, huh?

I also love the whole relationship between Alice and Tasha and the way that Tasha's lawyer is coming around. I hope he doesn't get creepy though, and start thinking that he's in for a 3-way! That's how those types of straightlaced guys think, ya know?

And as for Shane, I think that celibacy was just way too much for her. The previews look exciting though, with Shane hooking up only with the blonde and then the brunette gets ugly about it. Oh, what drama! I love it!

Right, Tina and Bette kissing - not sure where that is heading but maybe it will work out. But I also think that they need to be true and honest with each other and not play games. I hate game-playing.

I am so in love with Alison - she is too cute for words.

Okay as an officer of the law would it be inapproriate for me to want to shot Jenny? She is unreal and I do believe that one day she will come home and find a sign hanging on her front door that reads:

"Hello Jenny well to the psych ward, we've been waiting for you."

Wasn't Jenny already in treatment for PTSD after some childhood sexual abuse or something? I seem to remember something like that, way back when she was with that guy..? Now it looks like she's having a new, lesbian hook-up. But I agree, Pepper, she should be shot...as long as it's not by you!

I think that Alice is adorable too, but if I had to pick my favorite girl, it would have to be Bette! She's just so cool and elegant on the outside, with so much fire underneath...I love that!

I'd chose Bette too, if I had to choose my favorite, Marin. Alice is adorable, but too young for me. I love Tasha, Phyllis and Phyllis's gf.

Pepper, as a pacifist is it ok if I want to smack Jenny?

OMG, Amy, I'm in love with Tasha! She is gorgeous and so passionate! But, alas, she's smitten with Alice....

I wonder exactly where the writers are going with Jenny? I mean, everyone hates her!

Amy I say smack her around and not in a good way!....

I hear that Alice is going to "out" the hot jock from the party last week. Should be interesting to see how Tasha feels about this side of Alice.

Marin, I think that Jenny was treated for PTSD but she needs some serious shock therapy to get "over" herself.

    Looking forward to tonights show.....

If I were younger I'd have a huge crush on Alice. Half of the show was great-- the half that didn't have to do with Les Girls. I'm not at all interested in that storyline.

I understand why Alice outed the basketball star and I understand why Tasha was pissed off about it. I love how Alice shut up the obnoxious talk show guy.

Shane. Shane. Shane. Go with your first instinct next time-- LOL. On what planet did she think there wouldn't be consequences. She has got a body that really really turns me on.

Bette. Bette. Bette. Why don't you realize you just aren't into Jodi any more? Jodi is selfish, she's always trying to talk Bette into going places and doing things that she's not interested in. Bette clearly loves Tina and wants her back. I can't wait to see what happens with Tina alseep on the couch.

Les Girls bores me and Jenny irritates me.

Phyllis is back next week-- yay.

I can't add to your assessment, Amy, since I agree with everything except Shane's body (now the blonde she hooked up with is another story Wink). And even though I too have no interest in Les Girls, I'm excited at the prospect of new characters being incorporated into the script and lots of twists and turns occurring as a result! And what's the deal with Jenny's assistant - can Max be on to something? I do think so! So that will be fun....or disturbing? There must be a reason why they showed her spying Jenny in the closet with that new girl, like's trying to get something on Jenny or she's in love with her..? It should unfold soon, I should think....

I am so not interested in the "SheBar" . In LA there is a bar called Girl's Bar and it is owned by 2 women who have been together for years. I'm not sure where this storyline is going.

SHANE SHANE SHANE....she was really looking forward to a 3some and she should have backed out slowly...

Jenny's Asst....I have always thought there was something "fishy" about her from the beginning....

    GITTY UP ALICE!

I too wonder what's up with Jenny's assistant. Is her arlene who in this day and age names their kid arlene? I'm thinking potential fatal attraction girl perhaps?

That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking that maybe she is from Jenny's past somewhere.....

It will be interesting to see where this leads.

Yeah, I was thinking crazy-stalker-psycho girl too! Maybe she's obsessed with Jenny based on something in a shared past and intends to kill her with luv...but not before sufficient terror & torture of course!

Oh and Pepper, I hear ya about the SheBar thing. Like who cares? BUT, the toughass brunette did threaten to destroy everyone from Kit to Shane to Jenny to Tina, so it could get mighty interesting, doncha think?

Someone just asked Rosie is the L Word accurately portrayed lesbian life and she replied-- as much as Dynasty did for rich people or the Brady Bunch for blended families LOL.

Sorry Amy but I am so NOT a Rosie fan and take what she has to say with a grain of salt. I know that you like her - sorry. But I do not feel that she represents the lesbian community very well.

I come from the lesbian community (every single friend of mine is gay and I have also had female lovers) and even though I have been living the straight life for more than 20 yrs Rosie, I feel should be more righteous in using her voice.

Sorry don't want to step on your toes...

I agree with Marin....crazy stalker on the loose....

I don't think there's anyone who represents the lesbian community, Pepper, because we are a diverse group of women who can't be pigeonholed. I just thought her response was funny because the question made me laugh.

I'm not one way or another on Rosie, but she is right on with that observation. I don't know a group of women, straight or gay, who are as beautiful, well-dressed or as sassy and self-confident as our group on The L Word. But, for me, that's why I watch TV...to step out of my world for awhile.

This seems like as good a place as any (?) to mention a little indie flick I happened upon the other night. I actually started watching it because the main character was played by Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Eva or Rebecca or whatever-the-freak her name is on Grey's Anatomy. Anyway, it's called Puccini for Beginner's and is about a lesbian who starts dating a guy and his ex-girlfriend. Of course one doesn't know about the other and in the middle is Allegra who can't commit to either relationship and wants the best of both worlds. It's kinda too cutesy, but that works for me. Here's indb's blurb on it:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492481/

Catch it if it looks interesting to you. I enjoyed it, but I do like trite stuff! Embarassed

I think since there are so few lesbians represented on tv it would be better if the show was more realistic since there are a lot of ignorant people who believe what they see on tv.

How much longer will Les Girls be in production? Jenny is more and more out of control. Looks like we were right about Arlene. Did anyone see Single White Female? Creepy but interesting!

I'm disappointed in Bette for not just breaking up with Jodi. There's no reason to cheat. I read somewhere that Jennifer Beales is one of the few actresses on the show who won't go nude.

I thought the episode was ok-- parts were really good, parts boring.

Told you told you stalker!!! She is a Jenny-wanna-be.  I'm not sure about this whole Les Girls.

Bette and Tina not sure where this is going but one of them has to make a decision - be together or not together.

It will be interesting to see if Shane gets into the pants of Phyliss' daughter.

I saw Single White Female and even have it on VHS somewhere (what does that say about me?). And yes, this Adele thing is reminiscent of that movie. Creepy. I am so sad about Alice and Tasha, but I think that if either one can't give a little, it's bound to be a no-go. It looks like Tasha's troubles will heat up next week. And yes, Phylis' daughter will add a dramatic new element to the mix!

I totally forgot about Tasha and Alice. If some of the couples would actually talk to each other rather than look at each other and think to themselves what they want to say.

Marin-- i want a copy of SWF-- I haven't seen it in years but love that creepy movie!

Amy....I'll try to find it. I don't even have a VCR set up anymore, but am happy to make it a gift to you if you'd like to PM me with your address. Then, of course, I have to haul myself to a post office!

I love that movie too. I bought it for Bridget Fonda's haircut though, back when I wanted to copy it. OMG, I just realized that is what the crazy girl played by Jennifer Jason Leigh did, mimicked her haircut. I'm such a stalker!

I think Alice and Tasha will get back together - probably when she is finished defending herself in the Army.

I think that Max is going to starting biggin up the dirt on Adele. I also think that Nikki has alterior motives for sleeping with Jenny.

I miss Helena on the show!!!!

I don't miss Helena Pepper, but I agree with everything else you've said. I think Max will dig up that Adele isn't her real name and she's escaped from a prison psych hospital for stalking.

Marin, I've always had a crush on Jennifer Jason Leigh. I hope I'm not disappointed seeing the movie-- that sometimes happens when I've loved a movie only to rewatch it 10 years later and wonder what I loved about it. Thanks I'll PM you.

what did you guys think about last night's episode? I thought it was way over the top with the jello wrestling. That is definitely NOT why I watch the show.

Alice, as cute as she is, I can't believe how cavalier she's acting about outing people. I understood a little about outing the hypocritical basketball player-- I wouldn't have done it, but I could follow her thinking.  The woman needs to learn boundaries and priorities fast or she's going to lose a lot of friends.

The whole military thing pisses me off. I don't see how they can treat people who risk their lives for their country the way Tasha is being treated-- but then again, I can't understand why a gay person would enlist in such a prejudicial system.

I can't wait for the trial next week-- Alice is a loose cannon. I also hope that Bette finally breaks up with Jodi.

I'm very intrigued with Alice's character and trying to discern a message from it all. It seems that she gets dissed for outing the athlete and Tasha tells her she needs to tighten up, then Tina and company gives her the same message, while she's being encouraged by the women on the talk show to totally dish. I thought that Alice would become uncomfortable with the drama of that and how it detracts from the primary gay issues. But no, she seems to be buying into it..?

The Nicki/Jenny thing is definitely suspicious and what's with Shane being so hot for Nicki? The whole SheBar against the Planet girls seems like an all-out war with no boundaries and that can't be good.

It's all getting a little too muddled and dizzying for me. I wish at least one character would stand still!

And I agree about Bette.....GEEEEEEZ, GIRRRRRRL!!!!!

Told you - Jenny-wanna-be. Adele is a little FREAK! At the end of the show where she was imitating Jenny - get a life girl!

I don't really understand what Alice is doing? She seems to have lost her boundaries and seems to be taking this too far. I agree, she will loose friends fast this way.

Nicki/Jenny - get over it alreay - I think Nicki is using Jenny in some way - maybe to further her career.

The Turkish oil wrestling - what the hell was that all about. I have never been to a gay bar where this was done. So OVER the top. I loved it when Shane told Molly to "not flatter herself" - goo comeback.

Tina/Bette - stop playing games and get on with it already!!!

Turkish oil-- I couldn't think of the name. If I was more cynical I'd think the producers added those scenes to attract heterosexual males.

Amy...I think you're right on with that thinking. I know alot of str8 guys who watch The L Word religiously and get off on all of the sex scenes. And guys are all about girls wrestling.

I made an error in my earlier post when I questioned Shane's being hot for who-I-called Nicki, but is really Phyllis' daughter, Molly. I guess I missed when that all started..?
