Sisters, I just read through all of the posts that I missed!! Now, I feel caught up..haha.
Sheila...I wanted to tell you, that I think you are a very lucky lady to have found such a wonderful man. I have been through a 22 yr marriage and then with a man for 3 yrs that I thought was a good man...and it lasted 6 mos! I don't have the faith that I will ever find someone who will treat me like I deserve to be treated. I am just so happy that you found that special person!! When I read your post about his tattoo...I about started to cry! I kept thinking about what my husband was acting like when I found out...and it was nowhere near that. All he worried about was how he and his adult son, were going to be put out!! Oh well...like I have said before Good Riddence!! Maybe someday......
Karen, what surgery do you have coming up? Your lumpectomy? I also think that you will be one fabulous and compassionate nurse!!
Mel...if you are around today...I may give you a call.
Sue...how are your shingles?? How terrible that you have to endure that on top of everything else. It sounds as if your cmf tx is treating you better than the other.
Jane and Mel....I too wish that my daughters find a man that will treat them with love and respect. I do worry about that. I think they are a little apprehensive towards all of it, due to what they have lived and seen. I keep it as a prayer that God will find them the perfect person. Mel...your son sounds like such a wonderful young man...I hope he does stay with his delightful girlfriend.
Well...I should get off of this computer and do SOMETHING today...I am such a lug!
xoxo

Hello Everyone xxx
3 hours sleep and an 8 hour shift =
Thank god I am off the steroids...now til Tues...I have another 2 days before I go back and do it again
I really cant bear it ....
Hope you all had a good morning.... Lisa you are not a lug ... OMG how can you say that.... REST UP !!!! XXXX
I am going for a bath.... I am about to .... crash...
I need to see my dentist ... I need a filling I think...TOO MANY SWEETS... I will ask ONKY I dont want my teeth to drop out ...
Hey I think my hair is growing back... but I have zilcho eyelashes !!!
Anyway speak later ... I am burnt out xxx
Much Love xxx
-
I hope our Ulla...is busy enjoying her day!
Sue...I feel like a lug!! I am not used to being in my jammies all day...and doing nothing! I hate it. I finally went through my huge pile of mail...mostly junk or bills! That was one task completed. I have so many things to do..like getting all of my tax stuff together...things that I can do that don't take allot of effort...but I JUST DON"T FEEL LIKE IT!! That is why I call myself a lug!!
Funny...YOU telling ME to rest...haha....the girl who never stops!!
So Sue..do you find this tx better than the other? I do hope so.
I did not go to the dentist during my tx's. I even had a broken tooth at the back of my mouth..no pain though.. Ask your onc..and see what she says. I went for the first time back in December. I thought for sure after being so long..they would be in bad shape, but they weren't.
Glad to hear your hair is growing back!! Woohoo!! The eyelashes and eyebrows take longer. My hair started coming back in the summer, before I started taxotere...then it shed some while on taxotere..then continuted to grow into this curly mess that I have on my head now..haha! But the eyelashes and brows did not really come back until about November/December. So be patient for those. I know it is hard...because for me...loosing my eyelashes was almost worse than the hair!
Going to go and try and accomplish something else today...
I feel like Eyore..from Winnie the Pooh... haha!
xoxo

{{{ LISA THE LUG }}} Give up !!! You are just lethargic after all the worry .... Do you require some of my steroids
You have loads of time to get things in order...just take a week or 2 out...and rest up!!!
Well I am lay on my bed eating the biggest bar of choccy and listening to Zippy snore... he just seems to sleep a lot more these days...he is getting old...
The CMF treatment... I am not sure if it is any worse or better at the moment ..... I don't know how I will feel having one a week every two weeks..... but I am guessing my energy levels stem from them there steroids....
I also looking back over the past few weeks know I must have been considerably rundown with shingles...thinking it was the chemo ....
I will miss the burning of my mouth cells etc... it felt a welcome sign that the chemo was killing BOOTFACE....I am not sure how CMF works ...
What I need to be prepped for is the way I felt the day after CMF... because that was the most frightening few hours I have spent on the brink in the whole of my life.... xxx
I love ya Lisa...it is so nice to see you back xxx And of course I have your address in my little black book...safe under my bed...with all the other special addresses....
Feel sick.... I have a hole in my toof xxx LOL

Hi Everyone,
Just got home from the hospital. Have to feed the dogs and walk them, than head back over. Well, it looks like DH's cancer is back. We are in shock. He was just at the onc's last week and got the all clear. Of course since its the weekend we won't know much more. An onc from our group stopped in to talk with us and it looks like they will do a biopsy on Monday. Probably no surgery, just chemo. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SH*&!!!!! I swear if we didn't have bad luck we would have no luck at all.
I check in later when I get home.
Please say a prayer.
Valerie -
OH Valerie...I am so sorry to hear this!! Damn bootface!!! I was praying for a good outcome! What kind of cancer did he have before? How long ago. Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww , Lisa , he is the cutest little thing ever! He would be sooo spoiled rotten if he were mine. I could never say no to that little sweetie face. I am trying to type over top of Lilly. She is so full of energy! She makes us laugh so much. I don't think she knows she is a cat. She plays fetch like a dog and actually plays peek-a-boo under newspapers! And she still has a fixation with playing with her poop! And running water. Never a dull moment with her.
Oh Lisa , I wanted to tell you. When I had my recon , I know mine was longer than yours , but they tuck your arms under you when they do the surgery. At least they did mine. And because it was so long of a time , I ended up with a herniated disk and a pinched nerve. Very painful. So keep an eye on your pain level in your arms to see if it gets worst. Hope you're fine and its just some stiffness.xxxx Mel
-
Sue and anyone else who would like to , this is where you can go to light candles for you and loved ones. You can read the candles that are lit already. There are alot of candles lit for little Madeline who is missing. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/taf.cfm?l=eng
-
Thankyou so much Melody ..... I will light a candle xxx
((((((((Valerie&DH)))))))
I will never stop praying xxx
I will go to bed and talk to god ...and ask him....to surround you with our strength and love to get you over these coming days .... and that your dh is pain free ....Please let him know we are rooting for him
Sweet dreams Sisters.. xxx
-
-
AE , we are all here praying for your husband. Please feel our gentle hugs for you and know we are always here for you. I wish I lived near you. I could help with the dogs and be there with you. Know I am there is spirit.xxxx
-
AE and Hubby.....I will be sending you good wishes tonight. Please know that we care so deeply for you. I pray for a pain free night. May God watch over both of you.
xoxo
Lisa
-
Mel, thanks for that link...but can you do it without someone's email address? I couldn't seem to do it.
I think they left my arm out..at least my right arm they did. It's not pain like a pinched nerve...its very achy and pain from my elbow down through my hand. It comes and goes. But the other day, it was there ALL day.
I told Oliver, that you may want to steal him away!! Haha..he is so adorable..and so good! Your Lilly sounds like so much fun!! Sometimes Oliver plays at batts at you like a cat..haha. Maybe our animals are trying to be each other!
I hope Ulla had a wonderful b'day!!
Good night to all my sisters here. May God watch over each and everyone of you!
Much love,
xoxo
Lisa
-
Lisa , my pain started in my back , but as it got worse , it was my elbow down into my hand and my pinky and ring finger. Hopefully thats not the case for you.
Lisa , you don't need an e-mail addy to light candles. You only need an e-mail addy if you want to send the site to someone.
I hope Ulla had a good birthday too. I was kinda disapointed that she hasn't come here yet. Oh well , maybe dh took her some place nice and they are having a great time.
-
Mel....I did it....I was able to light a candle. Thank you for sharing that site with us. How touching, I really enjoyed viewing it. I know I will go back there often.
Have a good evening!
xoxo
