Can't, but don't worry about it. I'll come in March.
-
Hey Everyone:
FL was great, but I have been fighting some serious fatigue for 3 days. My surgery is Feb. 22. FINALLY.
-
OK... so I count 4 for Feb 24th--SoCalLisa, BMD, guitarGrl and ME (sylviag)---Is that it so far?
-
The 24th works for me. Where and what time?

How about Sylvia's idea of Milton's in Del Mar..?? I have never been there but it sounds good...
-
Sounds good to me.
-
OK... so I count 5 for Feb 24th--SoCalLisa, BMD, guitarGrl,3boys4me and ME (sylviag) and Milton's is great--so anybody else want to join us???
-
I can do the 24th!!!
With one small caveat:
My daughter has been put on a waiting list for a donor* and if an appropriate one happens on the 23rd or 24th, I must be available. Not likely to happen on this specific day, but you never know. They already know the 12-15th are out for me due to my own surgery.
Lisa
*no, not a heart or a kidney, thank the Lord. She's waiting for a knee meniscus allograft and transplant. Crazy kid played 4 seasons of NCAA volleyball with no cartilage in one knee - bone on bone.
She had the open wedge femoral osteotomy and tibial resurfacing late last summer. Now another few months on crutches.
-
LisaSD-Why don't you just give us all heart attacks before you explain. Geez. Hope is all works out so you can be at lunch.
-
See you all in March, I hope...
-
Gonna miss you Starfish. Good luck with your surgery and recovery. Keep us posted.
-
Yes starfish...good luck on your surgery---OK---we are at 6 for Feb 24th--SoCalLisa, BMD, guitarGrl,3boys4me, LisaSDCA and ME (sylviag)...what time and I can make the reservations at Milton's
-
I'm also going to try and get one more person to join us. She was diagnosed a week before me & could use us if I can get her to go! But knowing what time would help.
Also - someone told me that UCSD has a clinical trial for women who have completed their treatment but are still fatigued. Let's me out, but one of you might be interested. -
Ok. Add one more person for the 24th - Cathy is going to try to come and join us.
-
Hey Ladies - for March, what would you think about meeting at Filippi's for pizza in Little Italy?
And if possible, can it be in the latter half of the month?
-
Starfish...sounds good to me!!!!!!
How about March 29/30..I will be gone the weekend before
-
I am up for that week-end too Starfish.
Sylvia-1:00 works for me on the 24th but whatever you decide I will make work. Isn't your daughter going to join us again?
-
Not sure if Gretchen will be able to come or not and I am having company from Seattle that weekend--and believe it or not --this is my cousin who is 1 yr younger than me -who is waiting to see if her lump is CA...so I may and 1-2 more people---so we are at 7 for sure and we can say 1 o'clock?
Sylvia
-
Oh, Sylvia, not a cousin, too?!? Crossing fingers she turns out to have a benign lump.
1:00 is good for me and I love Fillippi's in March, Lisa!
I'd love to hear more about that clinical trial, Sue - fatigue is my middle name! Did you see a flyer?
Lisa
-
I like the way Sylvia and Starfish are taking over for February and March. I think this is a new plan. From now on someone different takes the reins each month to plan our luncheon. What do you think?
-
Sylvia...sounds good see you at one on the 24th...
-
Works for me BMD--I'm a poet and don't know it!! (sorry --old joke!) Thanks for letting me taking the reins for Feb---so we still have lots of time for others to join in--how about Jodi from San Marcos and the baby...and Kato? I'm not too familiar with the other possibles but will book for maybe 10?
-
My friend Cathy said she would come, so include her in the count.
BMD - of course it's a good idea & whoever arranges it gets to pick a restaurant in her area. Why not travel the county!
I hope Jodi is ok - she hasn't updated Zoeann's blog page since Jan. 22.
susan -
OK, so for March....can I get a vote on the 29th or the 30th?
-
I like the idea of a Saturday for a change!
-
Saturday sounds good to me also
Melia...where are you??????????????/
-
Just got word that my cousin's lump was removed and is LCIS--all contained---but no word of what her treatment will be---coming into town for a visit from Seattle---not sure but maybe she will want to join us for lunch,too...oh boy...

Hi all,
here I am, Liz .... Saturdays work great for me.
Melia
-
Sylvia - great news about your cousin. I finally got back my brca test & it was negative. I feel relieved that I don't have to inform any of my cousins about possible defects.
Saturdays are also ok for me.
