Good morning Circle Ladies.  Rise and Shine!  Another week half over.  They are saying snow for us tomorrow.  Yahoo!  :(  I think we have some appointments and scans this morning.  I'll be think good thoughts for each of you.

Angel -- they say that 40 is the magic age for bifocals.  Nothing you can do but just be glad you are around to complain about it.  But, you really need to see well to drive your beautiful girls around.  They have some really nice frames these days and you can get 'no line' bifocals so nobody has to know you have now become your mother.  :)  I used to wear the acuvue bifocal contacts and loved them but this last time my reading vision had deteriorated so that I can no longer use those.

Hi Jasmine!  I was all prepared to get the bifocals actually and they told me that if I'm not reading a lot that I could bypass them.  I was looking at the no-line bifocals.  I know they are an adjustment.  Unfortunately I have No reading time, even though I love to do it.  When I'm ready for my next prescription I'll probably have some reading time back (when Ava is older) and will definitely want the bifocals!  LOL about becoming my mother!  I was just thinking of that the other day and remembering when she was my age how I thought that was old!!!

Good morning everyone .. I'm on board to all the appointments today as well.  Be back later!

Charlene..I'm surprised your doc didn't recommend bifocals since you use the computer alot! I have no line trifocals, talk about having to get used to something different.

BMD>this was the first chance I got to see the new American Idol show. DH was on the puter last night so I turned it on.  I see the Tulsan got through! I was wanting to catch the San Diego tryouts but wasn't able to since DH doesn't care for the show.

Wild/Jan:  I was surprised too!  Maybe I didn't answer the questions right!  LOL  Yep, I bet trifocals are a Huge adjustment!  Did you start with bifocals and then go to trifocals?  I'm getting transition lenses .. do they have them in the bifocal/trifocal line?

I'm with WildJan, I would have gone ahead and gotten the reading script too.  You may not read for pleasure but you do read everyday.  Bills, computer, pill bottles.  It didn't take me that long to get used to bifocals.  You hardly ever see my head bob up and down anymore!  <just kidding...they don't cause you to bob your head>

LOL Jas ... not sure why they wouldn't have said to get them.  They just acted like I didn't really need them!?

Well I do need to hold things a foot or so from my face, depending on the size of the print.  Something I've started doing over the last couple of years ... that's why I was thinking bifocals.  It may be that it's just not that bad .. yet!  lol

Yes I had bifocals around the time I was 40, the last two prescriptions were trifocals. They told me they can't do transition lenses with my trifocals. I don't remember what they said I had to give up in order to have the transition lenses. It had to be something major or I wouldn't have not gotten the transitions.  I have the ultra thin lenses along with no line trifocals.

A quick hello to all!  Hoping all tests, scans and procedures are done and all is well!!

I know one thing for sure.............we've got to enclose the magic carpet!! This weather is freezing!

Bifocals, trifocals,............you're all a bunch of old fiddles aren't you??  Actually, I have Bifocals but only wear them if I am driving at night, which I do about once a year!!  Can't see to read without glasses.........but much prefer the reading glasses from the dollar store!!  No Joke.........I have them laying all over my house.

The eye doc tried to get me to try the 'progressive' lense.........but, dang...I'm dizzy enough on my own..........don't need the up and down movement of thosse things!

Susan:  Don't know which pic you're looking for..................Nancy posted a couple from the luncheon last Sat.  and I look like I stayed up all night at a bar.........and I posted one that Fred snapped of me with my Afghan.......atleast in that one I'm comfy and cozy!

Okay Candie..........what kind of tattoos are we going to get on our Big Toeless nails?  I remember the shot to freeze the toe when they took them off....(twice) and it was the worst shot I have ever had...................think a tattoo will hurt that bad?

Hey Jas:  Why you sleeping in so much???? Just noticed you said that....are you feeling okay?

Madison:  Glad you've talked to your DD and that she is getting 'settled' in.

Okay, gotta go soon............I was so hoping this client would cancel...it is just to cold out there.  But no such luck.............so off I go into the world of Dementia!!

    Hugs to all!

Neesie -- I'm fine, really.  Winter just does this too me.  I get tired being chronically cold all the time and trying to stay warm.  I've always been a cold natured person who gets too cold easily and I'm much better once it gets warm.

Susan I am sure hoping in 9 weeks I will be NED but we shall see.  He said if it wasnt completely gone it would probably be shrunk all that it was going to shrink.  I want NED not nearly Ned.

Denise-gotta go looking around for those pics of you.

Charlene-i am 40 and I'm not wearing bi-focals so we can prove that theory wrong.  Did you pick out cool frames?

Jaz-cold in Arkansas?  You better keep your southern butt in the south and not venture out to the north,,lol.

MB-Promising susan the exercise room, huh?  You are so thoughtful,,lol.

Candie-wow those are long days you are working.  My 8-5 is long enough for me.

Barb-thinking of you and your family.

Madison-glad daughter is doing ok.  I know the phone calls really help.

BMD-did american idol go the way you wanted?  I've actually never watched that show.  Then again I dont hardly watch any shows.

    Thinking of everyone having scans.

Popping in looking for word from all our girls with scans and appointments today ..

Pat, I'm hoping they found nothing lurking but nice things in that brain of yours .. please check in and let us know how your appt. went.

Candie, You too, how was your Onc appt?

Sahalie, Where are you girl, your appt. was last Friday I think and we haven't heard from you .. hoping you pop in soon.

Madison, Thanks for the note to all about CY.  I read her thread daily. I'm hoping good news from her scans today.

Neesie, I'm pretty dizzy myself these days with all the meds I'm on .. not sure I'd want the progressive lenses either. Dollar store reading glasses .. now there's an idea!

MB, that's positive news on your mom .. hugs

Lisa, thanks for the info on computer glasses .. very interesting. I'll certainly ask the eye doc about it.  Always good seeing you, wish you'd pop in more often! Miss your pictures too.

Amy, hoping for the real McCoy for you .. completely NED! Yep, I'm 43 so there goes that bifocal theory! LOL Oh yea, spent a long time picking out frames and a cool guy working there kept picking some out to put on me .. I went with the last pair he picked. They are red underneath but not on the outside but you can see a hint of it. I never would have picked them up but I liked them on me the best. Valentino. A bit pricey but I'm worth it right?

Wild/Jan, woo hoo on Okie Idol wannabees .. I watch that show, it's a guilty pleasure no doubt

Liz, we need a check in from you

BMD, how are you my friend?

Breezie, I hope to see you stop by again

Susan, I bet you're thrilled with MB's generosity regarding her exercise room lol

Jasmine, Warm hugs my friend.  The cold and I are terrible together .. I live in PA and hate winter time!

Watson got bad news from the Onc today, which I know she was preparing for .. damn this disease.  So glad she got a much needed hugafghan.  You afghan ladies are doing such a Wonderful thing.

Well, the CT scan is done and was uneventful. Glad it's over.  My onc. doesn't call if the results are ok so I usually wait a couple of weeks til I feel it's "safe" to call and then get them to fax me a copy of the report.  I figure they'd call before 2 weeks was up if anything was wrong so wait til then to call.  Crazy, I know, but that's how I do it.

Candie, How'd your appt. go.  I hope you're feeling better today.

Angel, It sounds like you picked out some nice glasses. I'm holding off on the bifocals too. Thanks for thinking of me! How are Audrey and Ava?

Amy, We're all rooting for NED too!

Another American Idol fan here too, but I don't really start watching
    til they get to Hollywood.

The powercord to my laptop is give out so just had to order another one from Dell.  Hopefully this one will last til it gets here!

HI  Onc appt went well, but he didn't get the report back from the CA267 or whatever that is yet.(tumor marker). He said to call him tomorrow. He also said not to read anything into it as they sometimes drag their feet with that one. He was glad to know I started an exercise program and I lost 4 lbs!!!! I love my onc. Thanks for being with me.

Jas, thanks...magic carpet ride a blast frommy past

Charlene, when I neede bifocals, my dr said my eyes were "maturing eyes".I have the no-line progressive bifocals. Didn't take much to get used to them. Thank goodness for the no-line.

Madison, thanks for letting us know about the update on Cy. Glad you heard from DD..where is she?

Neesie, I was thinking of pretty flowers

MB,sounds like your mom is doing better.Good to see you

Lisa, great to see you...post more often

Amy,praying for NED for you.Maturing eyes usually happens by mid-40's...so you have time yet..lol

    Hello Everyone!

So glad that there has been such good news with all who were getting tests this week.

I didnt know you could get tatoos on your toenails. That is a great idea for people who lost them because of chemo.

Another crazy debate on tonight... I do not know how these guys do it! They must be exhausted.

Cold snap is expected to come through the campgrounds, everybody stay warm!

Pat - So glad you checked in and especially happy to hear it was uneventful. You have more patience than I do .. I'd be on the phone much sooner than that! But you're right, usually no news is good news! Audrey and Ava are just doing great! Audrey was the only one in her class to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious correctly! LOL Ava is just growing like a weed. She stayed awake until after midnight talking to Audrey the night before last and Audrey rather frustrated telling her to go to sleep. I have to laugh about it because I've suffered many years of Audrey being a night owl and not going to sleep for me!

Candie - Good hearing from you also and that your appointment went well. There's some controversy about tumor markers so take the results with that in mind. My Onc doesn't even do them! Congrats on losing 4 lbs! Funny about the eye doctor calling your eyes "maturing". Remember when we Liked to hear that word ... now it has a whole new meaning! lol

Margo - I know you've been so busy but would love to see you check in. How's sis doing?

Thinking of everyone and hoping you all have a peaceful nights rest.

myraphogue-such a nice post.  This is a great place so pull up close to the fire and enjoy the conversation.  Before long you will know all of us.

Charlene-of course you are worth it and my gosh you wear glasses all the time so why not spend the little bit more and get something you are proud to wear.  You will have to post us a pic.

    Good morning ladies

Well we've got Devon all moved into Audrey's old room now and most of Karl's office moved into Devon's old room. Ava is so excited to have the office to play in .. it's a really big room. But it needs child proofed yet so we're working on that. Still have a lot of stuff to move out of there that wasn't even part of the office but just ended up in there because we used part of it for socializing. There's also quite a bit of stuff of Audrey's for me to go through yet sitting in the upstairs hallway. But there's no rush and we're seeing good progress!

Colleen: It's really good seeing you. I'm hoping things are going well with you and Warren. Maybe you can sit a spell and let us know.

Myra: Welcome to the Circle. We can never use too many angels watching over us all!

Jasmine: Love Kevin Bacon and that song! Sunny here today but cold.

Amy:  You snuck in on me!  I agree, if it's something you wear all the time than it's definitely worth the money to be comfortable with it!  Hope your morning isn't too awful busy at work!
