oh Jaz a woman after my own heart with avocados.  I love them!

Margo-uhh thanks for pointing out how wrong I am,,I appreciate that,,lol.  Oh well at least to me it seems like you should like them.

Shokk-i ain't riding on no stinkin carpet today.  jan is taking me on her harley and we are all piled on.  I requested the warm jacket cause its 10 degrees this morning in the sunny south.  It is supposed to be a nice weekend though.

Susan-Hope you brought the sippy cup cause Jan is  a wild driver.  I can't have anything till after the CT scan so save some for me roving reporter.

Jaz-nice pic.  I love seeing the blue angels.

Candie-I'm not a wine drinker but I can handle the zinfendel if that counts.  I prefer imported beer if I have my choice.

Charlene-thanks for remembering me today.  I am sure your 2 girls are keeping you hopping.

BMD-Glad you got to get a good post in.  There is nothing worse than losing one after you have spent quality time on it.  Your boys really keep you busy also.  How is the recovery going?

Well, not much longer here at work and I will be off to my scans.

    Amy

Candie: White Zin is also a very good wine. I do prefer reds though.

Susan: You better get on the back of Janny's Dresser so you can stay with us and report on Amy's appt!

Jas: That's a really cool picture. I've never seen the Blue Angels live but I imagine it must be spectacular.

Shokk: I ate a ton of Mango's and Papaya as I child when I lived in Thailand. Love them both, need to remember to get some.

Amy: Love that you requested the Harley ride .. what fun .. hope everyone is wearing their helmets

Barb: How are your sons doing since they lost their jobs?

    Lunch time so dropping by.

Jas, one day I will have to tell you the story about my dad, who is buried in Batesville, Arkansas.  I keep saying I'm going to pay a visit there to say goodbye, but haven't done it yet.  I have some pics of the Blue Angels too - pretty awesome.  Have the mango, I make a mean mango salsa.

Char, do you have "two buck chuck" there?  I have bottles of wine and hate to open a good bottle of wine for 1/4 recipe.  I figure if it's good enough to win awards, it's good enough to use in cooking.  Sis is hanging in there, thanks for asking.

Susan, can you pass some of the hot chocolate?  It is cold and raining here and more to come until Tuesday.  No drought for my part of California this year.

Amy, I'm the one tucked under the saddle bag or whatever they call it - see my nails and little eyes peeking out?  Yup Char, have a helmet on so my hair doesn't frizz.

    Lunch over, back later.

    Amy -

Girl, now you know that I realy like you...I would not ride a motercycle for just anybody!  I'm sitting on the back of the seat and I have on my old rollerskates so my feet won't drag.  I stapped a cooler full of cold Moose Drool microbrew on the back of the sidecar for later....

    Big hugs

    Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is staying warm, it's sooo cold here, I can't stand it --I'm ready for summer !

Charlene, thanks for asking about my sons. They're collecting unemployment, and looking for new jobs. They got their tax returns, so they paid a few months ahead on car pmts. and insurance. Hopefully, they'll find new jobs soon.

Have a good night everyone--talk to ya later.

I hope everyone had a good Friday.  I hope your scans went well Amy, I was thinking of you today.  I see Jan took everyone on her motorcycle.  Did you know they have heated leather motorcylcle jackets you can plug in when it's cold so you stay warm?  It's supposed to be in the 20's here this weekend but no snow so it
should be a good weekend. I've had enough winter though and am ready for spring!   I'll check back in later.

    Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted here in so long - I am not even going to try to read back - might not be able to post for another month or two if I do.

Sorry I missed the ride on the Harley today - sounds like a lot of fun.

Amy - I sure am hoping that you had good news today.

Susan - I think you have found your calling - you make a very good roving reporter!

Neesie - did I congratulate you on your new grandson? If not congratulations!

Deb - is there really a Moose Drool microbrew? With a name like that - don't know if I could drink it. My DD has me drinking Blue Moon with a slice of orange.

Jas - my ds would love it if they would have a snow/ice/too darn cold day here - but no luck yet. Love the pic of the blue angels. They have done an airshow here in Milwaukee and practiced right over my house - scared the #@$% out of me!

Barb and Pat - I agree - it is too darn cold and enough already - I want spring and summer to come - NOW!

Margo - I buy the two buck chuck to cook with too. Can't justify opening a more expensive bottle just to cook with it - of course I never just cook with it lol.

Shokk - that salsa with the black beans, mango, and avacodo sounds so good - now I will have to go out tomorrow and get some cilantro - have everything else - and make some. Where are you getting good mangos now? We love mangos but don't get good ones until the end of May.

Charlene - sounds like you are feeling better. How are Audrey and Ava doing?

Well only read this page - I am beat. My DH spent the last month in Bangladesh visiting his mom and family. He came back on Tuesday. He is suffering from major jet lag - wakes up at 3 a.m. and of course has to let me know that he is awake. Need to be up bright and early tomorrow morning to take my ds to his basketball game. Wishing everyone sweet dreams.

    Love and hugs to all,

    Suz

Amy, great news on the scans.

Susan, thanks for the update on Amy.

Neesie, two buck chuck is Trader Joe's $2.00 bottle of wine and it's winning all kinds of awards.  People buy it by the cases.  Glad you spent some time with mom; I called mine this week - why is it I can carry on longer conversations with strangers in the grocery store, restroom line, movie line, etc., than I can with my own mom?

    Hi Barb.

Pat, it's been raining nonstop since about midnight or so, so almost 24 hours straight and it's supposed to be that way until Tuesday.

Suz, at least you drink the two buck chuck.  You know they say to cook with wine you would driink so I figure with everyone buying two buck chuck, I can't go wrong.

    Nite all.

Shokk ... That salso sounds delicious .. I enjoy avacodo's too. So healthy with the fish! Yum!

Margo ... I don't know if we have "two buck chuck". Is it really only $2??

BMD ... Hope you got that deal!

BooSue ... Nice to see you and hugs back at ya!

Neesie ... "drinking good spirits" hahahaha I did raise a toast to Amy tonight in celebration of her good news. Little ones are doing great and getting bigger at alarming speed! Wow, enjoy your lunch with all the MI girls!

Barb ... Sounds good about your sons! I don't know the job situation these days, hopefully something will come up. I hate the cold too but I'm very fortunate in that I don't have to go out in it!

Pat ... Nice seeing you. Even though I don't have to go out in this cold much I am so ready for spring too!

SuzFive ... Yea, you stopped by! I missed you. Audrey and Ava are doing great, thank you. I'm glad your DH is home. I imagine that will take some time for the jet lag to diminish! How is Jack doing? Get some sleep girlfriend.

I'm really tired. We still have Christmas stuff to put away. Ugh! Doing that this weekend. Only 11 months from today until Christmas, yippee!

Wishing all of you pleasant dreams and a peaceful nights rest.

    Evening All...........

    Checking on everyone.....

Amy, I'll check on you again in the morning

Oh, BMD, I work in real estate and yes, things are picking up.   The drop in interest rates will spur more re-financing.  Also, buyers love lower interest rates.

Can't sleep...........been on the phone with daughter most of the evening...........

    Hello to all.......

    see you in the morning

Angel, check your local Trader Joe's.  It really is only $2.00 a bottle and it comes in a chardonnay and a cabernet I believe.  It's Charles Shaw.

Madison, hubby wants to buy another house but I don't think we can afford it unless I take the money from my 401k - depending on where you buy around here, some areas we can actually pick up a house for $249k or so, which is unbelieveable for CA.  My area the houses only went down .02% but in some areas they dropped about 30%.

Margo:  Thanks but the closest Trader Joe's to me is 2 hours away!  Oh and anyway, here in PA we can only buy liquor in a State Store!  No grocery stores or convenience stores or any other place except a bar.  Same with Beer, only sold by bars or Beer distributors.  sigh....

Sahalie:  How did your Onc appointment go yesterday?  Thinking of you.

Well my plan for today is to finish putting Christmas decorations away (LOL) and hopefully take my daughter shopping for some much needed clothes.  Hoping everyone has a great day!

Good Saturday to you all. I have to get in the shower right now and go to work but I wanted to mark my reading spot for later.

Charlene-I still have a card table in my dining room covered with Christmas decorations. Even the stocking holder are still on my fireplace. (LOL). Maybe tomorrow I will get them put away. You are not alone girl. Hey we both had surgery. We have an excuse right?
