Watson-
I know just how you feel. I got my hugaghan last week. Had pretty much the same reaction. I started faslodex last Friday.
I still laugh when I remember when your son was in school and wanted to take you and your bald head to show and tell. Hard to believe he's nine now. Big Hugs-- you know we will get thru this too.
Yo-- Nicki
It has been a long time. I don't spend as much time on the computer at home any more. Usually am too tired after I get home from work to do much more than crash. It will be 3 years March 2.
Once again- ladies thank you all so very very much for my hugafghan. The timing was perfect. I so very much needed a hug that week.
Helen
-
Watson so glad you received your hugs....
MB
PS I promise I have been doing squares...
-
Dear Afghan Goddesses!!
OH MY GOD!!!
I got a huggie afghan just now!!
I just keep saying "oh my God" over and over!! I saw Vickie's address and I thought. Oh how nice, Vickie sent me a present. Then I thought, "Oh, no .. they're sending my squares back - I'm a total reject!!"
But, it's a blankie and it's the very one I commented on the other day that I thought was so beautiful and I wondered where it was going. Well, it's here!!! Oh my God!! Oh my God!! I feel like Sally Fields at the Oscars. When I calm down I'll take some more pictures.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm really overwhelmed, I mean really overwhelmed.
love you guys much,
Bren
-
Glad you got this today, Bren. Know you could use a lift the last bit.
Thanks for all the little "unknown" things you do for folks and never draw attention to yourself.
I know it makes those that send the squares, those that put them together and mail them out, feel really good when the recipient's are pleased
Warm loving afghan hugs to all Helen, Watson, Neese, Bren (think that is the most recent recipient's).
Thanks to all who crochet, Liz, Madison and Vicki for putting them together and getting them out. (I'm trying to learn still - class was canceled)
Brenda
-
Hey Bren - Snuggle up in the hugs and feel the love!!!
Watson and Helen - So glad you got a box of hugs too!
Sue
-
Bren: Im so happy for you. Seems like you got a bunch of hugs just at the right time. Radar says "REALLY" happy.
Nicki
-
Bren, I'm all choked up by your response! That's awesome! Cuddle up and enjoy knowing that so many care about you.
-
GTO ... I still can't believe this blankie is in MY house!!!!
Oh my God!!
-
Okay ladies,
LIZ FINISHED THIS AFGHAN TODAY.........should be in the mail tomorrow!!!!

"
-
Hey Bren...........you aren't excited are ya???? Isn't it a great feeling! So glad you have your very own blankie to wrap up in....enjoy!
My DH snapped a pic of me 'napping' the other day.....I'll see if I can post it.
Madison...........you didn't get my box of squares today? Kinda worried cuz it was full...........used a 'flat rate' box, but the lady at PO....opened it, taped it shut and said it should go fine.............
Hugs,
Neesie
-
Neesie -- why did she open the box????
-
oh man, my pic didn't post........I'll try again.
Jasmine...the flat rate boxes go for one price as long as it is not over 70#'s..but they aren't supposed to be 'bulging'.....it was a bit bulgie....so we opened it (her suggestion) and she pushed down on it a bit and resealed it..looked the same to me....but she put it through. But Dee should have had it Sat. or today.....now I'm wondering.............I would imagine that if they didn't let it go through they would send it back to me.
Back to try to post a pic!
Neesie
-
Bren...awwwww...so glad you're enjoying it!
Madison - Wow...that is really gorgeous...you girls work so fast! You're like little elves, but year round!
Can't wait to see who's the next recipient!
-
nessie,
Yes, I did get your box of squares.........BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS
Boo/Sue.......I received your box of beautiful squares........
Makes me want to sing happy songs when I am surrounded by all these wonderful squares........
Laura, Liz made the afghan posted above. She has been unable to post pics from her computer so she sends them to me via e-mail and I post them for her.
okay.............back to the crochet hook
-
Madison...LOL I'm sending you and Liz squares tomorrow.
Okay.............................back to the crochet hook for me too! LOL
-
Thanks Madison - still trying to figure out why I can't post pics anymore. Anywho - yes the afghan is going out tomorrow. LauraGTO's and Bren's squares are in this one. This is their first afghan! I'm getting ready to start on another one as well as working on another project. Gee I wonder why the dishes didn't get done today? LOL
Again - thanks for everyone's help.
-
Liz - You did a great job...it looks beautiful. I'm so honored...LOL that my squares are actually making the cut! LOL Thanks for posting that!
Hey Bren - We're both newbies to this square thing! LOL
Liz - When I have posted photos, I have sometimes had to copy and paste the url several times before it actually appeared in my post. You may want to try doing that...I don't know why though. Sometimes I've actually copied and pasted it 4-5 times, and then, poof...it shows up. It also helps to have your curser in the spot where you want the photo to be in the post. Hope this helps.
-
Laura,
I saw my squares in the afghan Liz put together! I'm trying to figure out which squares are that new stitch you invented!!
Beautiful afghan Liz ...
Love,
Bren
-
Oh my, just finished an afghan. It is in the washing machine.
I'll take a pic when it is dry.
Hope to put this one in the mail tomorrow
Started on another afghan....................
Liz, we need a bumper sticker

Darn....I am having trouble doing pics now too. DH snapped this one of me napping over the weekend with my hugaghan! Look only at the hugs.....not the person under it!!
Hope I didn't make the page huge..........
Hugs,
Neesie
-
Neesie - Awwwwwwwwwwww...you look so warm and comfy! And it looks great on you!
Bren - my stitch, the MRSD (Modified Radical Single Double) doesn't look very different from a single or a double, because it's kind of a combo of the two.
-
Liz & Madison -
Just got back from the post office...sent you both a packet o' squares.
-
Oh my..................I kinda made the page GROW..................shall I delete it???? Will the page shrink back down if I do?
Laura: You crack me up! Love the enthusiasm!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs,
Neesie
-
Neesie, I'm going to make the page grow also.......
Here is a pic of the new afghan that was mailed today:

Very pretty Madison!! Someone will be very happy, soon! Thanks for your offer to post a pic for me..........think I already did the damage! That's what I love about friends.........you made your pic big too so I wouldn't feel bad!!
Hugs,
Neesie
-
Nice picture, Neesie! The afghan just makes you feel comfy, doesn't it?
You afghan girls are simply amazing! In the time that it takes me to make 4 or 5 squares, you make and send out 3 afghans! I'll try to pick up the pace. I'm sending Liz some squares this week, and I'll send my next batch to Madison.
Hugs,
Sue -
you girls do such beautiful work---I'm tryin ! I thought I finally got it right, but my first attempt at a square turned into an oval !!!!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm keeping at it till I get it right. The afghans are beautiful, I like the square with the heart in it.
-
Madison,
Beauuuutiful afghan! Can't wait to see where it's going. I love mine so much!!
PS - Laura .. you tickle me!!
love,
Bren
