make that two more - my friend and I will be coming too!
-
Oh goodie! Talk about the more the merrier - this is going to be a blast!
Sylvia, I had no idea your daughter was also a bc 'warrior' - can't wait to meet her!
Susan - since your clear nodes (
) meant no drains, I was hoping you and your visitor might feel like coming on up. I know it's an effort this soon after a procedure - we'll be so glad to have you!
We may have to do some musical chairs during appetizers so that we all get a chance to say hello. What do you think, Brenda?
Lisa
who will drive straight up from church
-
Yeah - I suffered through my LAST chemo and am feeling pretty good - not 100%, but getting there! Is it too soon to be checking in the mirror for new hair growth?
I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow and meeting all the new bc sisters. Looks like we'll be quite a bunch. You ladies are one of the positive outcomes of bc ;-)
Can't wait to see everyone,

Wow this it great. Can't wait.
-
It was great seeing everyone today and having the Chargers Win..Go Chargers...
As I suspected, the focus wasn't there, but you get the idea...
-
WAAAHHHH, I wanted to be there SO BAD!! Dang it all. Such a wonderful group. Everybody come back in February, so I can see all the new ones.
Just no luncheon on Super Bowl Sunday!
Love you all, great pix, Shirlann

What a wonderful lunch bunch today. 10 bc survivors and guitargrl's friend too. I had a wonderful time getting to know all our new group members and seeing everyone else again. If we all show up at the same time we will have to ask for the banquet room next time.
I was looking at the calendar just now and it looks like Feb 23 or 24 would be good for our next luncheon. This will be our 1 year anniversary luncheon. It would be great if all the founders could be there.
Melia will one of these days work for you? We sure did miss you, shirlann and starfish today.
-
Had a wonderful time, girls! It was so nice to meet everyone!
-
Wow---what a great lunch and thanks for making Gretchen feel welcome---she thought it might be a group of sad, old ladies.......NOT!!!!!
Anyway---it is wonderful to add new faces and keep the original group that started it 1 yr ago---sorry to say that there are SO MANY of us but there is strength in numbers---somebody very famous said that once....
So Feb 23 or 24th works for me--I'll be checking back to see what works for everyone else--as usual I was sorry to not be able to talk with everyone but maybe a room somewhere will work if we keep getting bigger!!
Take care and hugs to you all!
Sylvia

I don't think our waitress appreciated me getting up and moving about so much, but I really wanted to meet all of our new members. Every single one of you is appreciated - thank you for making the trip to be with us and share your bc journey! I realized that this time we didn't have any sister currently in chemo - two just barely out and one likely to go in by the time of our next gathering - but no one actively green around the gills.
I think we all look pretty fabulous!
We'll have to do something special for our 1st Anniversary get-together.The 23-24th weekend is good for me (and it's after Valentine's Day for Melia!) even if it's near a surgery I'll find a way.
Midway between or even No. County again is fine with me. The drive up to Carlsbad today was at a steady 80mph because everyone was watching the Charger game. If it hadn't been for those two infant baptisms at church, I would have been on time!
Missed you so much Melia, Shirlanne, and Lisa/Star. Wait 'til you meet our new gals - they rock!

I really enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday - very supportive group! I am definitely looking forward to making another one of these lunches.

Hi everyone. Wish I could have been there. Sounds like it was fun. The baby came Friday and all is well. I can't get pictures to post on here for some weird reason so I'll just post my 'myspace' address and you can see there. If you have a myspace, be sure to add me as a friend.

Cheers everyone... and I would love to come in February!

Hello all--Was at RMG today and scheduling a bone density scan and talking about our GREAT group and going on and on and on and.... SHEILA who is so wonderful says to me "you know about a girl who was deliverying her baby after chemo and she lives in San Marcos?" And I said yes and i think her name is Jodi.... and she sends her love and GOOD WISHES..she could not tell me she knew you until I said your name---SEE how life goes around and how funny it is???

Jodi -
Zoeann is the cutest baby every - very very magical. Congratulations, can't wait to meet both of you. What hospital is she in?
Susan -
Sorry it's taken me so long to post! I had a great time getting to know everybody a little more, and I'll be looking forward to Feb.
Guitargirl - I apologize for creating awkwardness (in the beginning) regarding seating. I would have liked to have sat in between you and Nash, so that I could continue our conversation also, but it was more than my chemo-brain could handle at the time. (Sometimes i frighten even me.) I really would like to get together and talk guitars some time in the future. Maybe even sing a little! But it was GREAT getting to know you. I'll be following your posts. Hope all is well.
Brenda - thanks for all the work coordinating and reservation-obtaining. It was a great day.
Sylvia - You are absolutely a doll, and so is Gretchen! I loved meeting you.
And everyone else, thanks for coming and letting me be a part of your lives!
-
Hi Ladies... Hope you are all well. I'm feeling under the weather... to put it mildly. So I'm taking it easy. Been down to see Zoe every other day. Seems that I tire myself out and then can't go the next day.
So sad. Today was an off day. DH goes down and takes pics and video with his cell phone and then sends it to me. Makes it a little easier.
I made a website for Zoeann... you can see lots and lots and lots of pictures here...
http://www.babysites.com/sites/zoeann/
I try to update it every couple days or so. I'm not that great at updating... but I try. Just like on here. lol.
Cheers... Jodi

Jodi, she is so beautiful! So are you and your entire family. I can't wait to meet her. Savor every moment with her; today is my first baby's 31st bday. What everyone is telling you is so true. It goes by way too fast! But there is nothing as sweet and amazing as a new baby ...especially, I think, a new baby girl. Love my boy too, but girls are really amazing.
-
Jodi--love Zoeann's Charger hat! She is too cute.
-
What a darling, perfect, little baby! Congratulations to you and your husband, Jodi!
-
Zoeann is totally adorable, and it's good that you are starting her out to root, root, root for the home team.
She looks like a fighter - hope she can go home with you soon.
Susan -
Stinkin Chargers anyway. Well maybe next year.
-
I know Brenda, I have been bummed all day, but I have watched this team since they came to San Diego, and I am kinda used to it, but it still hurts.
Sighhh, see you soon, honey, Shirlann -
So, when and where is our next Lunch Bunch meeting??
-
Feb 23 or 24 works for me. Of course the 24th is better but I will make the 23rd work if that is good for others.
SoCal would you like us to come your way this time?
-
No, I am the only one is South Bay....Middle is good for me though..
-
Anyone have any suggestions?
-
I've got out-of-town guests that weekend, so I'll see you girls in March!
-
We may have a karate tourament to go to in Santa Ana on the 23rd.
