It looks like bullets were fired from the fbi guy's gun towards Marcy's car. At the time Michael and John had just run towards the car so we don't know who if anyone was shot. I have to say yesterday's episode was one of the most exciting in a while. I was literally on the edge of my seat. My advice is not to miss today's show
.

I forgot to say that I absolutely love Addie. She's fast becoming one of my favorite stars of the show. I love her naive passion for life and the looks on Dorian's face are priceless.
-
Happy New Year!
I've had 2 weeks off and I'm getting ready to go back to work on Monday.
I saw part of the show the other day (when Marcie is trapped in the alley). I know what happens after that (It seems like ancient history because we were taping those episodes before Thanksgiving) but since then we've been doing scenes SO out of order, that I can't see any logic to the story. You guys probably have a better grasp of it than I do.
I really don't know what's happening with the writers. Some of the actor's have been going to picket with the writers, but we all have no strike clauses in our contracts so we continue to work. (a mixed blessing) I've been told that there is someone writing for our show who used to be involved with it and is bringing back old characters and story lines. (Allison gets out of St. Ann's, and there will be a conflict between Bo/Lindsay and Clint/Nora)
This coming week we will be working on the Red Ball, a charity event with gowns and tuxedos and lots of extras (very difficult for my department) which will be airing around Valentines Day.
We also have many uncompleted episodes from the end of January to the middle of February. A major mistake was made in my department right before the break. Todd is wearing the wrong costume in 2 episodes. We're juggling 4 different "Llanview days" spread over 17 episodes and the wrong brown outfit was pulled for him to wear. Let me know if you notice. -
I will keep my eyes opened Peg. Do you know if the actress who plays Addie signed a long term contract? I love love love her- she's such a great character and the actress playing her is phenomenal.
-
I saw Tuc on Desperate Housewives! He's hilarious.
-
I've got some gossip for OLTLers... and if true I'm thrilled. I know Bree was married, so might be probably bi and not sure about Bethann (Officer Talia Sahib). If true, I hope they come out so that gays can have better representation in the soap world. Tuc is the only out actor I'm positive about. I also think being out is good for gay teens, who have a higher rate of drop out (due to harassment), depression and suicide than their heterosexual counterparts.
Bree Williamson and Bethann Bonner. They both star on the soap One life to Live. While not completely out, it's said close friends and relatives know about their relationship. And it's pretty much an open secret in the soap world.
-
I just hope they're happy - and stay on the show! I met Bree - and she is absolutely stunning in person (Bethann wasn't on the show yet when we visited). Heck, EVERYONE there was drop-dead gorgeous in an "other worldly" sort of way - even the camera folks! Must be a soap requirement, lol...
So, what do you think will happen with Marcy and Vickie? Could Vickie be having a heart attack?!? -
I don't know but I just keep thinking...Vickie, just pick up a frying pan and give Marcy a good whack.
I know...I'm a bad bad person.
-
I missed the last 15 minutes today. Did anything juicy happen after John answered the phone following Michael's plead with Marcy to send Vickie to the hospital and keep him instead?
And wasn't it cute when Michael walked into the diner and Tommy (why the heck Todd wants to change that poor boy's name to Sam I have no idea) smiled at him?!? That little kid is adorable - and such a good baby... -
I think Todd is naming him Sam after Sam Rappaport. In his honor.
-
Bree is stunning and what she does with her eyes when she's acting is magical. I'm surprised she hasn't been nominated for an emmy yet.
I think Viki will be fine and that it was just needing her meds and the stress. I also think Michael will encourage Marcy to turn herself in and that she'll end up in St. Ann's with Lindsay. I also think Todd will have a change of heart and ask for her leniency.
-
OMG-- what did you guys think about the Tommy/Sam hand over? I thought it was sooooo powerful. I almost didn't make it home in time to see. Do you guys think Marcy is going to end up in St. Ann's with Lindsay?
-
I'm pissed! The show was pre-empted here by a special news report (a construction worker fell off the new Trump building in Manhattan) and I missed the actual moment Michael and Marcy left the diner with Tommy! Last thing I was the Michael emptying the gun and tucking it into his pants before hugging his wife and child...
Why do they make the FBI guys look like such jerks on this show?!?
And yes, I think Marcy will end up at St. Ann's with Lindsay - especially since there is now an extra bed (the one vacated by Blair's mom, lol).
Does Todd have to legally change the child's name from Tommy McBain to Sam Manning?!? I feel really bad for Gigi and Shane... -
Sorry for the guy who fell off the building too bad it wasn't Trump, but jeez, how is that important enough to break into the soaps??? The actual moment they left the diner was one of the most poignant moments I've seen on daytime. It was silent, Michael walking out first with his hands in the air shaking, the gun in his belt, crying- he is one fantastic actor. John removes the gun and Michael holds out his hand to Marcie and they walk out slowly, both crying. He stands in front of Marcie and Tommy to protect them and Todd motions the police to put down the guns. Michael and Marcie stop briefly, he gives her one last hug and she proceeds forward towards Todd, crying and shaking. Todd walks a few steps forward and Marcie approaches him, knowing she has to give up Tommy. Todd motions to her and gently (at least gently for Todd) takes Tommy from her. He hugs the boy and takes a few steps to be alone with Tommy. Marcie doesn't have long to stand in tears, she is pushed onto a police car and cuffed, with Michael shouting in the background not to hurt her. This is the first time there is sound. Back to Todd who calls the boy Sam-- jeez talk about confusing a kid.
I would assume Todd would have to legally change Tommy's name, because they'll have to do a new birth certificate the way they do when a kid is adopted-- but who knows, the soaps don't always do things the way they happen in real life.
-
Thanks for the update, Amy! Sorry I missed it; sounds like it was quite dramatic and poignant...
The show came back here just as Marcie was being cuffed over the police car. Michael looked so sad...
I kept wanting Tommy/Sam to scream his head off while with Todd and Blair. Didn't happen, though... -
I cried yesterday when Viki said goodbye to the people at the Bon Jour cafe and I realized I'm going to miss them a lot. I keep wondering how many of them will end up in Llanview. Gigi and Shane are pretty much a definite. I can't help but to think Mo and Noelle will come too, doesn't Llanview need a new restaurant?
BTW, I almost never cry at tv-- the powers that be at OLTL did a great job getting me to care about these newbies.
-
Yes, and I love the scenes where Todd introduced Sam to his sister and brother. Bringing Sam home was the right thing to do. He should grow up with his sister and brother.
-
I missed it yesterday (had a meeting), but I disagree about the above. I still can't believe the judge ruled in Todd's favor in the first place. Tommy/Sam has had so much instability and change since birth (even before, including how he was conceived); he finally gets to a stable environment with people who love him and he's yanked out, his name is changed and he's got a whole new family - yet again. Doesn't seem like "Best interest of the child" to me at all...
How long do you think it will take for Langston and Cole to get together? -
Langston and Cole--- I'd say by valentines day.
Based on court cases that have been in the media where the father didn't know about the child and later found out, I think it's pretty common to return the child to the bio dad. There's no way the courts should have just turned Tommy/Sam over, there should have been a (re)unification process as not to traumatize him.
I do think it's important for Sam to know his siblings. It's too bad Todd and the McBains couldn't work out a compromise, as Todd suggested right before the verdict. That would truly be in Sam/Tommy's best interests, IMHO. I have a feeling that Blair will work on Todd and that it will happen. I even had a thought that perhaps Todd will allow Marcie and Michael into Sam's life in a show of compassion for Sam if Sam can't adjust to the change. It may be pie in the sky, but stranger things have happened on the soaps.
-
I have to say that I'm loving the Addy character. I'm so glad they brought her on full time. Laughing out loud at the 'polar bear club'. And I especially love the 'bewildered' look Dorian gets on her face when Addy comes up with those ideas. The Blair/Addy scene yesterday was priceless.
Also, laughed at Sarah's remark to Jared 'ewww'.
-
I'm hooked on the young an restless plus bold and beautiful
have been watching both since they aired
I usually have to read about then on soaps.com
daily

Addie has fast become one of my favorite characters. She is a breath of fresh air and the actress who plays her is phenomenal. A lesser actress would have destroyed the balance between the initial appearance of craziness and what later turns out to be normal fun. I hope she stays on the show forever and they don't do something horrible by making her mentally ill again.
-
Alllllissssssssson Perkins!!!!!!!!! How funny was it when she said "hi ben" to Viki's chest. I couldn't stop laughing!
Does anyone think it's possible that Charlie is Rex's father AND Jared's and that it happened when Charlie was drunk?
-
Yep. That's exactly what I think...
How weird is it that Charlie hasn't run into Vicki in Llandview yet?
Any AMC fans? I haven't watched the show in years, but I keep seeing teasers that Angie and Jesse are back. I loved them together on the show... -
Yup, Angie is back as an infectious disease doctor working on Greenlee and her son Frankie, who actually are suffering tannis root poisoning. Jesse is sneaking around to visit Frankie. Nobody but Frankie has seen him. He's still pretending to be dead.
-
How about Roxie and Shane bonding? The grandmother and the grandson before they know it....
-
Yes, that was a very good scene, Amy. I also loved Addy kicking Todd's butt with her karate. Too funny!
-
I love Addy (but she was actually wearing a judo gi, lol)...
Things with Langston and Cole seem to be heating up. They might not make it to Valentine's Day, I'm thinking... -
Judo...Karate...it all hurts the same. Ow!
-
I watch AMC- Angie is back treating her son Frankie for an infectious disease. Jesse has been lurking in the background visiting Frankie, but when Frankie told Angie she assumed he was hallucinating. Jesse told Frankie today that he wishes he could have been there growing up and that he wishes he could tell Frankie why he had to be away. This should be interesting.
