I had a client call me from Arizona today. She wants to see houses on the 12th. I told her I was busy that day. Hopefully she can do Sunday instead. I am waiting to hear back from her this week-end. I may have to miss that day if it is the only time she can meet with me.
-
I'm pretty flexible in January, so I'd rather change the date than have you miss lunch, Brenda. Clients come first, especially out-of-town ones!
-
I agree - was there a reason we switched to Sat. instead of Sunday anyway? Or was it random? And Melia is working half of that day, too. This way she could have half her Sat. back.
I can do the 13th. I want Brenda there!

Don't work around me; I will be working half Saturdays most of the spring, and don't mind it ... just do what works for most of you. Sundays will always be hit or miss for me, since it's a day we try to save for family, but if it works for most, go for it and I will do my best.

We were doing Saturday so it would be easier for Melia. Sunday is family day for her. I don't want you all to change things just for me. We need to be considerate to all our sister's lives.
Melia-that is the 2nd post you entered and deleted. Is everything O.K.?
I have not heard back from my client yet but when I do I will let you all know.
Starfish, SoCal and Lisa #3 have not chimed in yet. Lini can you join us in Carlsbad?
Love you all.

Yes, I am fine. I am trying to figure out how to say "don't work around me." I really want you to do what works for the majority. I think my schedule is the most inflexible, in that I work full time and Sundays are hard for me. I appreciate the comment re my Saturday morning work, but in the spring, I work quite a few Saturday mornings. It doesn't bother me. I do try to save Sundays for Steve and any family obligations. That doesn't mean that I think you shouldn't meet on Sundays, or during the week if that is what is best for most of you. I am glad that I got the group started, and I really want to see you as often as possible, but if you work around me, you just don't have as many options as I want you to have. So if meeting on Sundays or during the week is what works for the majority, please do so. I will join you when I can. I don't want to feel like the stumbling block. It sounds like Sundays work better for most of you. And that's fine. Or if you can swing meeting during the week, you should. I miss you all, and I will always try to make the luncheons, but please please please don't let me be a deciding factor.
Hugs, Melia

Hi sisters, just let me know where and when, we are going to Vegas on Jan 2,3,4. But no one will be doing anything those days, anyway. So just let me know. I am flexible.
Love you all, Shirlann
-
Melia-I get it.
Well my client is still trying to determine her schedule. I should know something by the end of the week.
-
Hello all--Just got back from a fast biz trip to LA --very nasty/rainy trip tonight and not liking corp types who are in town justifying their existance by pulling us up there for a conference......sorry---THANKS for letting me vent---with my schedule---can meet during the week, on Sat or Sun and am glad to know you are all there.....have been putting off a mammo for my 6th month checkup, waiting for insurance on a breast MRI to check on funky cells they found in 5/07, going for a colonoscopy, and bone scan and a new dentist in Jan---no real problems--just checkups from stem to stern!! Merry Christmas to you all!! Love,Sylvia
-
I have chemo the 7th, but should be in decent shape by the weekend so I'm open for the 12th or the 13th and any location. Whatever works best for everyone else, just count me in, too. Keep me posted.
love,
Lisa #3

Stopping by to wish all my bco San Diego sisters a very Merry Christmas. Love you all.
-
Just stopping by to wait to hear how you are after surgery BMD...hugs
-
Hi everyone. I am home and sore. Laying in bed with my Vicodin bottle next to me. Feels like someone used me for a punching bag. I should start feeling better tomorrow. Ps said day 3 would be the worst.
I have not been on the phone with my client about the week-end of the luncheon. Don't hold up any decision on the day because of me.
SoCal-You haven't said whether you want to drive all the way up to Carlsbad yet.
-
Brenda, glad you are home and reasonably comfortable. Well, at least medicated. Hope the hubby and beloved boys are out occupied with karate or some sort of guy-thang so that you have plenty of peace and quiet.
And that they bring home dinner.
Why will Day 3 be the worst? Take lots of pain meds!
We still have 2 weeks to firm up for the luncheon, so we can wait to hear from your client, IMHO.

Hi LisaSDCA-Hubby is working and the boys have had a few good fights today but I am staying in bed. One of them is sitting here next to me watching TV so it is peaceful now. Ps thinks day three is the worst just like if you get a bad bruise or worked out really hard. It is usually the 3rd day later that you feel the pain the most. I have been taking lots of pain meds. Dh better bring home dinner or he will be going out to get it.
-
Brenda..good to see you on the mend ...and home....
I hope to drive way up there...
-
Happy New Year San Diego Lunch Bunch!
-
OK everyone...I need to know where and when so I can work around it!!!
-
You all decide on Saturday or Sunday. If I have to miss this time thats just the way it is. I can make it on a Sunday for sure but Saturday I will probably have to work that week-end.
-
Hi, Girls;
I can't make this one, sorry so late getting back to you. I will be in FLA. Have fun!
-
Happy New Year!
Brenda - I didn't realize you were going in for another surgery - hope you are feeling better.
Starfish - you'll be missed, but have fun in Forida.
I'm still up for whatever is decided (as long as my LAST chemo doesn't knock me for a loop). Hope someone (not me) takes charge here and tells us where and when!

O.K. already. I will take the bull by the horns here. The next San Diego Lunch Bunch Luncheon will be on Sunday January 13th at 1:00 at Claim Jumper in Carlsbad. It is just west of 5 off the Cannon Rd. exit.
5958 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA 92008
(760) 431-0889
I will make the reservation when we have a head count.
Who's coming:
Brenda
-
I'm in La Jolla & would love to get together with you guys. Plus I love Chevy's.
-
Oh, Brenda - you're so sexy when you're decisive!
And welcome to guitarGirl - who I just met in another thread and invited to join us. Looks like it's not Chevy's this time, though! We're making the trip up to Carlsbad for some of our No, County and Orange Co. sisters.
Lisa/Starfish - have a great time in FL!
Lisa#3 - counting down the days to your last chemo on Monday! I'll be driving to LA to see my PS on that day - also a real fun time.
Melia, please, please work it into your Sunday schedule!
Shirlann - win big in Vegas for us and next month our brunch will be in Bora-Bora!
I'm taking a flute of leftover champagne and getting into a deep bubblebath now. I've been up until nearly 3am the last two nights (even with meds) and that has got to stop!
Love ya'll
I'll be there!
Lisa

Hi All,
Happy New Year! I hope this year brings us all peace and good health.
I am sorry, but I can't make the luncheon. I will try next time. Have fun!
Melia
-
I will be there..call me if you need a ride, LisaSDCA...
-
I have my surgery on the 11th, so I don't yet know if I'll be up for lunch on the 13th. If I am, there'll be two of us - a friend is coming down from Palo Alto to be with me for the surgery & the following week.
If that's too iffy for the reservations, I'll just try to make the next lunch. -
guitarGrl-no worries. I always make the reservation for at least 2 more. I know from experience that going to lunch with the lunch bunch 2 days after surgery can tire you out. I did it. I just went home and slept for a few days though and I was fine. Welcome to the Lunch Bunch. I look forward to meeting you.
melia-I am sorry you won't be there again. We will be right in your neighborhood though so if things change just show up and surprise us.
starfish-I hope you have a wonderful time in FL. Going to visit the cute boyfriend?
O.K. ladies lets all check in now.
-
I'm (finally!) planning on making it. For once I'm not feeling barfy and drooly, as chemo is over. The only caveat is that my Stage IV bc mom is not doing well, and if she needs me that day, I'll have to stay home with her. But hopefully I can make it, and am looking forward to meeting everyone in person.
-
nash-I can't wait to see you. I hope your mom feels better soon. Is she still doing chemo every week?
