Hi all
Yes the lodge sounds great...
Crackling fire, lots to drink and eat....
A couple of hunky Mounties looking for shelter.....
Sorry am I thinking out loud again,
Sue I had the craziest dream about you last night! For some reason you lived a couple of streets away from me and I popped in to see you. You were saying that you hated all the drugs and wanted rid of them. Well we had a cup of tea and the next thing I know I'm in a night club and you are there selling your chemo, anti sickness drugs and everything to these clubbers like a crazed drug dealer!!!!!!!!!! (told you it was crazy)
Then the police came a I had to help you hide them and then take you to pick your boys up because they were waiting for you at the news-agents!!!!
What a weird dream! I think i am watching too much TV
How you feeling today anyway sue? -
I just wanted to send a gentle hug, we all pretty much started out this way....I was stage 3 B with a 12 cm mass in my breast....
I made it through on this message board. I also have a Myspace....please feel free to add me as a friend if you have a my space too.

Now I see this was posted in Sept....Man, did you hear me say I'm now a true blonde....LOL

Shirlann, your kitten is the luckiest to have been chosen by you! I am sure he/she? senses and appreciates your kindness. I hope you have a lovely, relaxing Christmas.
Sue, I so hope you are having a restful day and pampering yourself. I wish you would take a sicky tomorrow and the next day. I also wish we could bring you special treats and look after you.
It has been snowing here this morning and my sister and I walked to the local shops oohing and ahhing at the beauty, came home covered in snow - what a novelty it is for us! The locals probably thought we were both mad. We have been choosing baby clothes for my niece's baby - due in Feb.
I love the idea of the ski lodge - or a tropical island. It's fun imagining such things. Must buy a lottery ticket too.
Love to all.
gb
Love to you all

Loved your dream story Poppy! Speaking of Mounties, my sister & I were waiting for a taxi the other day. An official taxi-type of car pulled up in front of us and we leapt up and started to open the doors to get in and out stepped - a big policeman! Well - did he tease us! He thought it was hilarious! Even offered to let us sit in his car while he got his coffee but warned us that if we got in, he would be forced to arrest us!
Well, we were cold and the police car did look like a taxi!

Hey Sue - Hope your OK...
Oh, Why You Look So Sad?
Tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
'cause I've seen the dark side too
When the night falls on you
You don't know what to do
Nothing you confess
Could make me love you lessI'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
* *I'll stand by you
So if you're mad, get mad
Don't hold it all inside
Come on and talk to me now
Hey, what you got to hide?
I get angry too
Well I'm a lot like you
When you're standing at the crossroads
And don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
'cause even if you're wrongI'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
Take me in, into your darkest hour
And I'll never desert you
I'll stand by youAnd when...
When the night falls on you, baby
You're feeling all alone
You won't be on your ownI'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt youI'll stand by you
Take me in, into your darkest hour
And I'll never desert you
I'll stand by youI just love that song.............

My friend who will turn 40 next week just had her first mammo today. She is in the National Guard as an MP and has done 2 tours in Baghdad. She called me at lunch and said that she did not know that there was an appproved method of torture in the US. At first I forgot that today was her mammo. I laughed at her and said that it wasn't that bad, I have had them every 6 months since 2005. She said that they squished the p**s out of her boobs. You would think that an MP would be able to take the pressure.

You sound in a lot of pain today, I wish I could help, I hate hearing people in pain, its so hard not being able to help
XX -
gb...you are really making some lovely lifetime memories out there in Canada...I love scenic places.....I wish I was there with you xxxx
-
Don't complain, Sue. My oldest is now into Linkin Park, Insane Clown Posse, and Papa Roach. Good LORD!!!!! She does enjoy some rap too, but mainly that horrible heavy metal garbage. I liked AC/DC in high school, but that was about as heavy metal as I ever got.
I'm so sorry you're feeling so miserable today, sweetie. Chemo is such a nasty bugger.....Almost as bad as the damn cancer itself. Just take tomorrow off if you're feeling horrible. How on earth will you be able to function if you're that sick??
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Karen ...David loves Linkin Park...I quite like their stuff too lol....he has their albums....he also like my chemical romance....but Daves more into his computer these days....he will have his webcam on upstairs and I will be down here on my laptop using MSN to chat to him LOLOLOL
Well I am going to go to bed soon and see how I feel tomorrow...I thing my adrenalin switches on to get me thru the day at work...but if I feel as bad I will be phoning in ....
Hope you all have a good evening ....and a nice day tomorrow...
Where is our LISA ...she went to atlanta ...is she back...I am still waiting to see that pic xxxx
Much Love xxx
-
I guess I should at least listen to Linkin Park's music before I judge
. If you like it, I guess it can't be that bad. The others though--I can't get past the album covers! They're downright satanic looking!!
I know! I'm still waiting to see Lisa's picture too. Rest well, Sue! I'm hoping you'll feel better tomorrow.
Hugs,
Karen
-
Big hugs to you Sue, I hope you have a healing, soothing sleep. Dream of snowy chalets, gentle snow and all of us being together generating a healing atmosphere.
I love hearing about everyone's kids - they are so precious to us. Mine are all flying to Bali tomorrow. I am glad they will be together - I like to think of them creating great memories that they can look back on. I will miss having them educate me on all the latest music!
hugs everyone,
gb
-
Sue,
Hopefully you are fast asleep. I am sooo glad you received your little "surprise". I was worried it got lost.
They had that song playing on the radio at work today and I thought what a great song for all of us on this thread. It was a perfect fit!
I am sorry to hear the fatigue is getting to you. Just listen to your body and do what it tells you.
Hugs,
Valerie

Hello everyone!! I have missed you all! I went back and forth to Atlanta on Wednesday, then got a message to take my daughter to her agency for a fitting for Joanne fabrics on Thurs morning, then ran all day long, errands, appointments, etc...so...I collapsed with exhaustion after dinner last night..and never got on the computer!
Sue and Karen, I will send an email with that pic asap!! It will be from my work email...so look for a different email addy.
Sue...tired, is one of the worst parts of chemo!! I was exhausted too! I worked, like you, except I did have a few days off soon after my tx. Your body was telling you to rest...that is why you slept so long! I am glad you got that rest!
I hope you are feeling better today. I love Lincoln Park and Coldplay too! Your son has good taste in music.
Shirlann...I love the idea of a lodge and all of us sitting around drinking something hot..spiked..haha..and enjoying our conversation and company!! I would love to do this! Maybe we can plan this after everyone is feeling better. Enjoy your Christmas dinner out...sounds nice and easy!!
Gb...I am glad you are enjoying the snow! Funny story about the "taxi"! I laughed picturing it! My younger sister is having her baby soon..first one, and she is 42! She is so excited. I know she has bought allot of baby clothes.
Poppy...omg....I could not stop smiling reading about your dream!! Too funny! I also like idea of the mounties at our lodge...yeah!!
Aunt Em....I love that song! Thanks!
Melody...hello!!! Missing you and everyone! I am at work today, but will try to check in with everyone!
xoxo

Here's a new pic of Chase with our tree. I really wish he's stop with the cheese-eating grin. Goofy boy!!!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Here he is with my wig on. He looks like one of the Beatles, doesn't he?
Oops, I forgot the red eye reduction. He looks like one of the Beatles--possessed!!!
-
Love the picts. My son did the cheesy grin when he was that age. Now he does the stupid smirk.
Sheila
-
Karen..at work I am not able to view the pics you posted. I will have to check out that little guy of yours when I get home! So are you all ready for Christmas? I have to wrap yet. I am having a gathering at my home on Monday evening, so once that is over, then I don't really have much to do.
I hope our Sue is resting...
xoxo

gb - if you are still in Ontario, you will have fun with the BIG snow storm we are supposed to get this weekend. We haven't had this much snow (and so early) in years. Very fun!
I'm giggling thinking of us (some with our bald heads) sitting somewhere warm at a resort together!
-
Karen, what cute photos of your gorgeous boy! I love his smile - what a cutie!
Mommy Mia, a guy just told us that the ice storm from the US is heading our way and will be wilder than it was down south! Was he just trying to scare us?! We are heading to the Blue Mountains tomorrow morning - I wonder what it will be like up there? We are due to come back to Burlington Sunday night - if we can!
Lisa, I love Coldplay & Lincoln Park too. I think Chris Martin has a lovely face - loved the video clip of him walking along the beach singing "Yellow".
One more thing - I have become obsessed with Wholefoods - it is the most amazing place! I wish we had them in Australia!
Love to all
gb
-
I think it's more of a snow storm than ice (and ice is worse for sure).
Blue Mountain is in the "snow belt" as they call it. They get a lot of lake-effect snow. Are you going skiing? I think we are supposed to get about 30 cms (1 foot) of snow on Sunday. If this storm does come, it might be better to come back to Burlington on Monday when the roads have been cleared.
I can't believe you are in Burlington! I'm in Oakville...just down the QEW!
-
Karen...your son is so cute!
-
Hi Sue
! How ya doin sweetie? Hope your getting some much needed rest. Been thinkin' about you and hoping the chemo SEs are lessening for you. Hows David and Daniel doing? Do they do any Christmas shopping? Most of the schools here hold a "Santa's Workshop" and they sell little gifts the kids can buy for there family members. I remember doing that when I was a little girl and then I helped with one when Adam was little. Its so cute , the kids get so excited that they bought gifts for mom and dad. I miss those days when Ad was little. Take care sweet Sue.xxxx
Lisa! Glad your back. I was getting worried that you got stranded in Ga. Or that you found yourself a stud-muffin there and was having more fun than me!lol Welcome back.xxxx
Karen, I love your tree! And Chase is such a darlin'. I remember Adam with that cheesy smile at that age too. They all do that , and us moms all say the same thing ,"just smile normal , puh-lease!!"lololol xxxx
gb and Momma Mia , we are suppose to get the storm here in Ohio too. I hope not a foot though! But I am in the "snowbelt" , being by lake Erie. I was gonna get up early and do some shopping. Oh well , as long as there are no white outs , it should be festive! You guys be careful being out and about.xxxx
