Well, I couldn't resist and went to Michael's today and bought another Caron 1LB yarn, in sage green this time. I wish they stocked more color choices though. That's good for 12-15 squares so I will keep chugging away and lookout for a bigger box.
The 1LB size will also do a complete baby afghan for those that are interested (I did 2 blue ones over the summer, want to give those to Linus project -- guess I better look for another box while I'm at it.)
-
Hey Donna, good to know that the 1lb of yarn will do a complete baby afghan!!!! Just kidding.........in case you haven't seen my posts of late......I also have a couple 1pounders waiting their turn!!!!
Hugs,
Denise
-
Denise, it is hard to picture that baby afghan you are fighting with, it seems to have a mind or will of its own.
Joann.com has free shipping through today Dec 5 (no minimum). I have to go and hide my credit cards.

what's kk?
-
The KK is the knifty knitter........sold at Wal mart or other stores....

Ladies -- today I needed a hug. Nothing much going on, just not feeling myself. In amazement, I received a package and didn't know the return address. Opened it and it was the best hug ever - an afghan from you beautiful girls....
Thank you so much! I spent the day wrapped up in it sleeping and I dearly LOVE it. You made my month!!!!!
-
kimmy - oh good it finally got there. It's had a bit of a trip getting to you. Know that we are always thinking and praying for you. It's my very first afghan so please forgive any flaws you may find. I'm so happy to have made it.
Hugs

Oh Liz, I'm so happy Kimmy got her afghan ... and just when she needed it. Please post a picture of it. I bet it's beautiful, and how could it have any flaws when you put it together with such love!

MB is there a pic of it somewhere? KIMMY so glad you finally got it, next time Liz needs to get a faster horse for the Oklahoma pony express!

I have an afghan ready to mail.................the last one I mailed was delivered but I still haven't heard anything from her.
It does make me/us nervous when we mail the afghans......so much hard work goes into each afghan, as well as love......and when we don't at least get a "Yep, I received it" I wonder if it was stolen from their porch, etc.
Madison
-
Hi Madison,
What date was the afghan delivered on? Could she be sick and her family not know how to reach us? Maybe we should send out the posse to make sure she received it, cause if it was stolen I know she would be heartsick too.
-
Kimmy........I'm glad you received your Afghan of love! I hear it took the back roads to get to your house..........but you have it and that is what is important.............plenty of hugs for you to wrap up in!
Madison: I find it hard to believe that someone received an afghan and didn't respond here.
Maybe you will have to come right out and contact her and see if she received it............you put way to much love and work into these to have them come up MIA.
Liz: Are you going to continue to help Madison and Vickie make the Afghans? I promise, double promise that I will get back to making squares very soon!
Hugs,
Denise
-
Hi everyone, I would love to continue to help Madison and Vickie with the afghans. I have squares here from Wild/Jan and myself and my crew. LOL I'm having my surgery on Tuesday and will be down for about a week crochet wise. After that I'll be ready to go.
Hugs

Just popping in with a huge thank you to everyone for all the hard work that you all do.
I have been a bit slack on the afghan front the past month...Christmas...Cocoa...new job...classes (which I am now a dropout...LOL)...have all taken their toll...
I am back on track again and have one in the works.
Love and hugs to everyone...

I just sent a PM to the individual I mailed an afghan to last month....and haven't heard from her. (Tasha G)
I think I will also follow-up with a note in the mail. I really do want to know if she received the afghan.................
-
Madison, I also PM'ed Tasha before Thanksgiving and have not heard back from her. She last posted in October. It is sort of a mystery but I am still hoping she received it but got confused over where it had come from.
I bought another 1LB of Caron yarn on Saturday -- baby yellow this time, but I may just do another baby afghan after I finish all my green squares.
-
I have been making Christmas presents but promise to work on the afghans the first of the year.........
-
I have two rows left on a new afghan...loving this vacation! Madison my dear do we have a needy person on the list? It's a good thing I've got you to keep track or I'd be lost...will post pics before I send it. Feels good to be making them again.
Love and hugs all
Vickie

I was just thinking about the circle and how long the special afghans have been going out this morning!
I feel bad because I was so involved in the beginning and have been a real slacker the past several months..............I promise to get back on track this New Year............they aren't the best but they are full of hugs!!!!
Hugs,
Neesie

-
If anyone needs my address just let me know. I'll be putting the afghans together with Madison. I've already done 2 and am working on one now and need some squares. I think Madison is in need of some also.
Thanks for your continuing support and work on this. It's a wonderful project and we will continue it.
-
