A lot to be thankful for today

Today is Thanksgiving and my birthday. I have to say that before BC I was a bit caught up in the age thing, dreading that next year that would put me on the downside of my 20s, 30s, etc. Today I turn 44 and am SO SO SO glad I made it and doing OK so far!!! ((I actually wish I were older, lol).
Now I will competely welcome every birthday I get to celebrate.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

I too have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving
....
Im just past my one year mark of being dx'd with BC and this time last year I was fresh out of surgery for my lumpectomy to remove the beast and trying to do Thanksgiving dinner here for all my family as it was the original plan b4 being dx'd....what a day...I had to sit back and watch others do all the things that I would have been doing!!!!! So this year Im back in the saddle doing the holiday!!!!
Not only doing the holiday but finishing off things for my daughters wedding Saturday.....THAT is what Im most thankful for....that I am here for her special day
....
Im thankful that I found this website within a couple of weeks after being dx'd...I have found the most amazing group of ladies/men that have supported me through thick and thin.....
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL holiday and for those of us not feeling up to par....you are all in my thoughts and prayers today as always...
Hugs
Jule
PS.....Newter-HAPPY B-DAY WITH MANY MANY MORE TO COME!!!!

I am thankful that all four biopsies I had this fall -- including the one that was expected to reveal a malignancy -- were benign and I can celebrate Thanksgiving without looking forward to more cancer treatment. I am thankful my niece has no signs of the brain cancer she was treated for two years ago. I am thankful my children are doing well, including my son who has an autistic spectrum disorder and has more than exceeded our expectations for his development. I am thankful to be alive and with the people I love.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

I have so much gratitude today and am especially happy for the health that I've been blessed with, my awesome daughter, my special friends and the fact that I don't want for anything.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, MY SISTERS!!!!

Happy Birthday, Newter!
Happy Belated Birthday, Marin! Way to go on the boyfriend switch!
I am so very thankful today! I am finished my chemo tx, and finished my surgeries, had the recon. 2 weeks ago!, and just recently started the Tamoxifen, and so grateful that I have these treatment options available to me!
I am thankful every day that I am alive! Yes, Newter, I also used to think... oh, no! another year older at my b-day... but this year, April 21st, after being dx'd in March with bc, I was happy to celebrate my b-day... I'm now 44, also!!HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

I was on a walk up (and down and across) the hill behind our house with my husband yesterday and had lots of thoughts about giving thanks. The last time we did this walk, as much as I'd been working out and walked every day during treatment last year, I got really tired and out of breath. Not now. The last time we did this walk my husband was in a point of not liking me very much. Yesterday he stopped every few hundred feet to kiss me. Not long ago I didn't believe in the future at all. Now, I don't believe in it but not so completely don't believe. I am alive, healthy, my brain works fairly well, my husband and I are working through the problems that BC brought to a head, I love my job even tho I work WAY too many hours, hopefully my sister and I are working through some problems that came up with dueling catastrophes over the past year.
Anyway, I'm coming out from under the worst two years of my life and I'm so much better than I ever dreamed I could be in the days prior to the two years ago date.
