I met Rosie twice. The first time was at the RFTC in New Jersey in 05. The 2nd was during an R family (the gay travel company her wife runs) weekend in Philly that I was lucky enough to attend. The picture was taken at a 50's bowling night, hence the cat glasses. She was incredibly gracious and spent about 20 minutes talking to me. She was very interested in ME, which shocked the heck out of me. Her wife is lovely and the kids are so well behaved too.

BTW, I hope you don't think I was asking for scoop about Tuc. I had read an article that said he was one of the first out actors in daytime in which he was quoted so it's not a secret. I just didn't realize he was the first. I respect your boundaries and how you can't talk about private things from the show and give us scoops.

Peg -- that is so cool!  I love OLTL.  Especially, Todd and Blair.  I do have one request to make 'tongue in cheek'.  Can you ask them to give the boy who plays Mathew Buchanan a haircut.  Its driving me crazy.  <j/k>

My newest theory is that Jared is Charlie's adopted son, the child the woman David impregnated gave up for adoption. Kiss

I just think David is too young to have a son Jared's age.

Just checking in with you guys...

I was wondering if any of you saw "One Life" this week. I think Nathanial Marsten (Michael) has done some of his best work. Unfortunately as his character was falling apart, the actor, also fell apart. He's had substance abuse problems before (he was fired a couple of years ago, but fan pressure brought him back), but this time is physical and mental pain got the best of him. He came to the set very disoriented and was sent home without completing his scenes. The next day he came in very angry and was unable to do his scenes again. Over that weekend he got into a scuffle with some bystanders and broke someone's leg and was arrested!

He hasn't been back since then. It's too bad because we all liked him a lot and we're worried about him. All his scenes were put on hold while the producers figured out what to do.

This week a new actor was cast in the role and was thrown in to doing 4 scripts a day. His name is Chris Stack and he's doing a very good job.

A bit of irony... he's been on the show before. A couple of years ago he played a drug dealer who sold drugs to Al, Nathanial's first character, before he got in trouble the first time.

Nathanial is very talented. I hope he gets his act together.

Does anybody watch Days of our lives?  I used to, but it got kinda young for me,.  Anyway, I saw on a magazine that John Black is already coming back from the dead.  How did they manage that one?

My mom use to watch "Days" Juanita. I never got into it, but I think the woman who plays/ed Hope is so beautiful.

So sad to hear about Nathanial/Michael! He was one of the most gracious of all the folks we met when we visited the set. My son still has a picture he took with Nathanial in a frame in his room (next to the one of Renee/"Evangeline"). He'll be missed, but thanks for the update, Peg...

Peg, I feel bad for Nathaniel. I've read different accountings of his troubles and wondered if perhaps he was bipolar. I hope he gets the help that he needs, he's a very talented man. Any time there's a replacement it's hard to get used to. I heard a rumor (but don't expect and am not asking you to confirm) that the original Marty, Susan Haskell is coming back and that's why Christina Chambers was let go. I hope it's true, but Christina did grow on me.

I'm getting a little tired of Marcy on the run and can't get enough of Viki. My new theory is that Charlie is Jared's adoptive father and David is his biological father. I can't wait for David's paternity to come out.

I'm loving the new side of Dorian we're seeing and am excited to see Addie come back "cured". That should be an interesting dynamic for both Dorian and Blair.

And Felicia, I'm so jealous you got to go to the set! That must have been awesome. I would love to meet Erika Slezak of any actor daytime, nighttime, stage or screen. She's just so beautiful and gracious. I love that she doesn't fit the mold of the typical soap star. I read where Susan Lucci won't let the word "grandmother" be used on the show which is ridiculous and divaesque (even though I hear she's a really nice person). 60 year old women aren't supposed to look the way she does-- way too plastic for my tastes.

Addie is going to be 'cured'!  I would love that!

I'm tired of 'Marcy on the run' too.  No matter what Todd has done, he is a good father and everyone in Llanview knows that.  I really want to see him and Blair get his son back and see how the family dynamics develop.  Plus, the Marcy character really grates on my last nerve.  That character is so 'childish'.

I still don't think David is old enough to have a child that is Jessica and Natalie's age.  He would need to be as old as Dorian and Vickie, wouldn't he???  And they've always emphasized the age difference between David and Dorian when they are together.  But maybe you are right.

I've always loved Dorian.  I like Vickie too but she is too goody goody sometimes when she isn't being one of her alters.  I like Dorian's fiestyness.

You know what, always, the way kids are infants one day, toddlers the next and teens the next on the soaps, I don't think the David not being old enough to be Jared's father would be a factor. I think they call it rapidly aging soap syndrome.

OK, so the "Who's your daddy?" plot thickens with David V., Charlie from the diner and Jared on OLTL. I have no idea where this story line is going...

Felicia I stand by my theory that Charlie is the adoptive father and David is the bio father-- although with Charlie the bio father it does give him a reason to be back in llanview. I don't like Jared.

BTW, how funny were Viki and David today? He brings out everyone's sense of humor. I loved when he was channelling Niki Smith. I wish Tuc was staying around permanently-but as long as he comes back for sweeps, I'm thrilled.

Amy, I'm thinking Charlie is either Jared's dad or Nash's...

And are those Vega boys the dumbest jackasses on the planet or what?!? One's wife left him for someone else and the other's love is in a comma - still they can't move on. Somebody slap them, please...

OMG- I totally forgot about that Nash doesn't know his parents. I've been so fixated on Jared and David.

Felicia I had to read the Vega boys sentence a few times, call me a dumb jackass hehe. It took me a while to figure out COMMA and COMA (I'm not correcting your typo, just laughing at my own thickness this morning). I felt bad for Talia. The "it's not you it's me thing doesn't feel good."

LOL, Amy. I had just corrected quizzes from my journalism students where I wrote "serial COMMA" about 25 million times when I logged on, so I guess I had an extra "m" on the brain, lol...

OK - Dorian just gave Charlie a note with the address of the person he was looking for on it. She said "He owns a vineyard" - which means it could be Jared or Nash...

    As always, the plot thickens!

I know, and he's outside of a door that doesn't look anything like the Buchanan mansion door would look.....

Extra points for you for figuring this one out. I wonder how long Nash was in foster care and when the last time he saw charlie was.

Nash's father and Jessica's mother sitting in a tree....

But it still could be Jared as I'm not sure if Dorian knew he was living at the mansion. Remember, he owns part of the vineyard, too.

It would be funny if while Jared is staking a claim to be Asa's long, lost son, his real father shows up on his doorstep...

Either way, though, Vickie and Charlie's children will be involved with each other...

Very good point--- oh we would have fun sitting on a couch together watching the show!

I have to laugh, being from PA where the fictional llanview is--- there aren't any vinyards that I know of in these parts. I don't think the area is condusive to growing grapes.

I always laughed about that grapes in PA thing, too...

I try to take my lunch break around 2pm if I can so I don't miss OLTL. I used to catch it on Soap Net at night, but I'm not home that much in the evenings anymore.

It'll be on in a few minutes here. Gotta go do a bit of running around before that, so let me know if I miss anything...

Ugh-- I don't like that Nigel is being blackmailed into saying Jared is Asa's long lost son. You know what would be funny, if they do a DNA test and it proves he's related but not the son (grandson).

I hope the jig is up for Marcie, but I think they're going to drag it out longer.

I caught the last 30 minutes. Not sure if Marcy will get away or not, but you never know with David...

What was up with that stupid FBI guy? Shooting out the tires near a cliff?!? Come on!!

I loved the look on Jared's face when he wheeled around and saw his father - the very same person he'd just told Clint and Bo he'd never even met - standing in the doorway. Did you see the scenes for Monday? Dorian overhears Charlie telling Jared he wants to be his father again. The plot thickens...

I  know! This was one of the best episodes and the show has been great lately.

I have a feeling that David will turn Marcy in-- not just for the money but because of his friendship with Viki. I've always liked the Marcy character--- I just want her back and not have this dragged on any further.

I can't wait to see what happens on Monday!

    Hi Guys,

I'm glad you're enjoying the show. I have no idea what happens on Monday because for me it happened so long ago.

I occasionally watch the air show when I'm not working, so I saw some of it on Wednesday. I hate to have to admit it, but I saw one of my "mistakes".

I was on the set with Robin Strasser, who plays Dorian, when she got hit by the car. She was on the ground, surrounded by bushes and cameras, while they were adjusting her position, and adjusting the lights. I stay off to the side by a moniter and I didn't think there was anything to worry about, because the scene was dark and she was supposed to be disheveled.

After they finished taping she yelled "Wardrobe!-I wasn't wearing my earrings! You're supposed to watch me!" oops-

On watching the air show, I saw the ranch hand and Charlie discover her lying in the bushes and she's not wearing any earrings. Well, I thought, she's just been hit by a car, her earrings could have flown off.

Then I saw her notice them clipped to her jacket, cover them up, then put them on during the scene. Of course every victim of a car accident wants to be wearing all their jewelry. That's soap opera.

    Thanks.  Smile

Pat, I missed the first half, but here's what I caught:

Marcy packed Tommy and their one bag, deciding to get out of dodge (Paris, Texas) and go elsewhere. She opens the door with child and stuff in hand and David was standing there. "Going somewhere, Marcy?" he asked.

Charlie talked with Nash at the vineyard who told him that Jared has been "sponging" off his wife's family and was now living at the Buchanan mansion. Charlie headed over to the mansion to see if he can find Jared.

Bo and Clint were confronting Jared about his jail time and what else he might be hiding from the family when Nigel decides now is the time to tell about Jared being Asa's son. Jared acts stunned and claims his mom always talked about how she wanted her son to be just like Asa, but he faked it like he just couldn't believe it could be possible. Clint asked him about his father and Jared said he'd never knew him/never seen him as his mom said he died before Jared was born. Bo asked him about his paternal grandparents and he said his mom told him they were too distraught over their son's death to be involved in his life. The words were still hanging in the air like one of those cartoon bubbles when Nigel announces that someone is there to see Jared. He whips around and looks like he is going to vomit...

John and the stupid FBI guy somehow get caught trying to rescue Cole and Marty. John confesses that he found Patrick's disc in a book of poetry he left for Marty. He negotiates with the head terrorist to give him the disc if he lets Marty, Cole and FBI man go - and if he can talk to Mary and Cole first. He tells Cole to take care of his mom and tells Marty that when they get back, she owes him a cup of coffee. He kinda shakes her hand (I'm thinking he gave her the disc), the van door closes and they drive Marty and Cole away. As soon as they are gone, FBI man overpowers the gunman and he and John take off after the van on foot. They cut across a land mass and cut the van off. Stupid FBI guy starts shooting at the tires, which makes the van spin out of control. It rolls off a revine and tumbles down a rocky cliff. Roll credits!

    Amy, did I miss anything?

You did a good job with the recap. I don't think you missed anything. Monday should be great.

Peg, do they yell at you when you  make a mistake? I'm never one to notice the mistakes and wouldn't have picked up on earrings vs no earrings.
