Hi WildJan...
This is for all of us...each and every one
-
CY...Slonedeb...Gracie...everyone struggling or sad...everyone hurting or blue....everyone sick or down and out...
-
Ok ladies....I need ya all to send a prayer for the new job for me. Just listened to the executive director rant and rave over nothing for ten minutes and I refuse to listen to that kind of abuse from anyone. Just cuz he's having a bad day (which he admitted too)doesn't mean he can take it out on everyone around him.
Geez...like I need more stress...
-
Gentle hugs Vickie. I'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed for you.
-
OK...now I am only posting this because it struck me as so funny I had to share it.
pppffftttt LOL
-
Vicki that is funny. I'm here to support the circle and what it stands for. I"m not giving up.
susan

I'm still here....
Has anyone heard from sloanDeb or CY? Just thinking about them and all of our sisters that need our support.
Got a ton to do today, but I will keep the computer near.

Count me in, Miss Vickie.
Hugs.

hmmm...maybe we need a MIA post for CY and Slonedeb as I haven't seen either of them. I hope CY isn't working!!!
Good to see you sweet Deb
Hi Jasmine
Back to work before Mr. Miserable catches me LOL.
-
I think CY is planning on working as much as she can. She said she was having trouble sitting for a long time on the computer, so I don't want to nag her. Maybe we can convince her DH to come on every once and a while or something, just to check in...I know I worry when folks don't post somewhere.
I don't think I have Slonedeb's real name and address...does anyone have it? I want to send her a card.

I'm here and ready to do whatever I can to bring the circle back. I'm stubborn, but I hope in a good way.
Vickie, you do not need to put up with that. It's one thing to have a bad day, but you can't take it out on your employees, isn't that a type of harrassment? I wouldn't last very long at my school if I did that. Even when I'm crabby, I have to be respectful of my students. I will keep praying for you to find a better position.
I have to say I am very blessed to have the job I do. It doesn't pay a whole lot and we don't have any medical benefits, but it is a wonderful atmosphere. We have the best high school kids I have ever met. I just had my Sophomore history class and it was so much fun! I have just as much fun as the kids. I think they are learning, too. My 16 year old son is in that class and after 2 horrible years in the public high school here he is doing so well. He is so much happier and it makes our home life better.
I do have someone who needs the center. Some of you may remember my coworker whose husband turned out to be a terrible monster and she didn't know. Well, I can't tell the whole story here, but tomorrow she has to go to court to keep the restraining order against him. He wants access to the girls, they are 10 and 14. He has abused them physically and one of them sexually. They don't want to ever see him again, he had threatened them with their lives if they ever told their mother. They are in counseling and reveal new horrors to her everyday. My friend is a basket case hoping the judge will rule in her favor. She has a pretty solid case, but you know how the courts are--things someatimes happen. We are all planning to pray while she is in court. A few extra prayers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Forgiveness
There are many here who need to forgive people who have offended you (myself included). I offer the following in peace. sorry it is so long.
Forgiveness works! It is often difficult, AND it works!
We often think of forgiveness as something that someone who has done us wrong must ask of US. There is always another way of looking at something. My thoughts on forgiveness suggest that you focus on offering forgiveness TO the person who has wronged you. To not forgive them is like taking the poison (continuing to suffer for what they did or didn't do to you) and expecting THEM to die!
Alexander Pope once said, "To err is human; to forgive, Divine." Believe it!
Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself. It is not something you do FOR someone else. It is not complicated. It is simple. Simply identify the situation to be forgiven and ask yourself: "Am I willing to waste my energy further on this matter?" If the answer is "No," then that's it! All is forgiven.
Forgiveness is an act of the imagination. It dares you to imagine a better future, one that is based on the blessed possibility that your hurt will not be the final word on the matter. It challenges you to give up your destructive thoughts about the situation and to believe in the possibility of a better future. It builds confidence that you can survive the pain and grow from it.
Telling someone is a bonus! It is not necessary for forgiveness to begin the process that heals the hurt. Forgiveness has little or nothing to do with another person because forgiveness is an internal matter.
Choice is always present in forgiveness. You do not have to forgive AND there are consequences. Refusing to forgive by holding on to the anger, resentment and a sense of betrayal can make your own life miserable. A vindictive mind-set creates bitterness and lets the betrayer claim one more victim.
-
CY and Slonedeb, I am continuing my thoughts and prayers for you. I hope to hear from you soon.
-
Sheri
We're putting your friend in the middle of the circle. I'm sure the judge will rule in her favor.
-
Susan...wow...that is a great concept and idea. Food for thought...
-
thank you Susan...well said...
-
Deb C, All I can say is "Amen".
Vickie, I'm here to make things better.
As always, love, Laura
-
Oops, I mean, "Amen, Susan". Sorry. I goofed.
As always with all my flaws, love, Laura
-
Thank you Laura...what a wonderful sight this is becoming...sisters rejoining hands and hearts...one by one we will survive and it will be ok.
I will also be spreading love at the Hamptons to sisters who I know are hurting...we have enough to go around.
