Hello everyone,
I posted the other day and didn't get a response. This tells me that your group isn't as welcoming as you say you are. That's okay. I wanted to let you know that it appears that some things are settling down for you guys and that's good. I don't understand some of what has happened or been said, but I'm happy for you.
God bless you all and may you have a great time in your Circle.
Cassie
-
congratulations gracie.
sloandeb, I hope you are feeling better today. Come and visit.
for the rest of you. you asked for it. eeewww
-
Hi Cassie,
Why don't you pull up a log and sit by the fire. Tell us a little bit about yourself. I'm sorry you think we are not friendly. We try not to ignore newcomers. Give it another try.
I hope you are right and things are settling down.

Ummm...Cassie...I haven't seen your post from the other day. All are welcome here and I'm sorry if your post was missed. I will see if I can go back and find it.
-
Here is the comfort tent for those who need it.
-
Newvickie - that's wonderful! Hope you really love this job. We all deserve lots of happiness along with the confusion.
-
Cassie's post that was missed
Hi everyone, I don't post much but have tried to read this thread a lot. My only question is - why is everyone so mad at each other? You guys were so warm, compassionate and caring. What happened?
Whatever it is can't you move forward and if not forgive then forget?
I know I'm not a member here but it is so upsetting to see you guys like this.
Just my thoughts. Sorry if I interfered.
Cassie
I apologize that I missed this post Cassie...we are actually trying really hard to rebuild what was lost here. No one is mad any longer and we are a warm, loving, compassionate group. Stick around and tell us what it is you need. We are always here to offer a hug or a "pick me up". No need to be a "member"...everyone is welcome. BC makes us all members and sisters against one thing and one thing only...breast cancer.
Hugs
Vickie
-
Thank you Shrink! This new job will be so much less stress and enough money to finally pay my bills...what a blessed relief.
Susan honey...that comfort tent looks like the place to be!
-

-
newvickie I'm glad to hear things have improved for your circle. I had my one year anniversary in February and am now just in a limbo waiting for my life to return to normal. I don't post very often as you can see but sometimes need to talk to someone who has gone through all this. Congratulations on your new job.
-
Welcome Cassieruns
Cy-HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Slonedeb.....always thinking about you and sending warm hugs and wishes your way
Hugs from A to Z
-
Deb from Ky....(((big hugs))) heading your way. I am not a medical professional but my guess would be that no growth since July is a good thing. I am glad the morphine helped. Sometimes our pain just gets so far gone it is hard to control. I know that you can rest a bit better now.
Welcome Cassie. Good luck with your life getting back to normal (sorry I didn't mean that to come out sounding so sarcastic). Just feels sometimes like there will never be a normal... but there is a "new" kind of normal as someone here once called it. Come in closer to the fire and talk to us. Tell us about what is going on... where you are.... we will circle around you.
Madison... hugs to you... so good to see you. Have been praying for dd. Hoping for full recovery real soon!
One more thing... a local dentist was in my office today paying for some diesel fuel. He was talking with boss about how boss' son had quit smoking and dipping. Dentist said he quit dipping and had been hypnotized to help him. Then he said he wanted to try it on some girls in his office who were "buffet browsers... you know a bit on the big side." I wanted to throw something at him. Why is it always about being fat? I wanted to tell him that I could lose weight but he would still be a jack*** ( no insult intended to any real animals)! Sorry just had to vent. Hugs to all... a good night around the circle.
I am going to Starbucks for a decaf Latte with hazelnut and a REDUCED FAT CRUMB CAKE (if there really is such a thing.....). Then home to wrap in my hugaghan and crochet. Pam
-
good evening all...only a minute to post as I am exhausted tonight...the time change, no furnace and sleeping at my sisters last night, the new job offer, the nagging cough have all combined together to wipe me out so I am calling it a night early.
Welcome home Madison...sure missed you.
Slonedeb...so happy to see your post and know that you are not in as much pain. Sending gentle hugs your way.
Pam...buffet browsers...I would have surely thrown something at him...without a doubt.
Cassie...your one year anniversary can be a tough one. Mixed emotions all the way around. There is an article here about being done with treatment that I will try to find for you tomorrow when I'm not so tired.
Where is Jankay?
Where is Peter?
Wishing sweet and happy dreams to all
Vickie
-
Cassie...tried to copy and paste the link to the article but it won't work...it is under Moving Beyond Cancer...titled "I'm Done With Treatment...Now What?"...maybe someone can figure out the link...I can't seem to get them to work.
-
Wow, glad to see the cirlce is thriving again.
Vickie -
Deb - glad the morphine is controlling the pain. I'm sending lots of healing light your way.
Not much time to address everyone tonight. Wishing everyone a good night.
-
Jankay,
I offer the following for your consideration!!!
Cherryl
The importance of a second opinion
The doctor said, "Joe, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press against the base of your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles."
Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. But he couldn't stand the headaches anymore, so he had no choice but to go under the knife.
When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself.
As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life. He saw a men's clothing store and thought, "That's what I need...a new suit. That'll make me feel a little better."
He entered the shop and told the salesman, "I'd like a new suit."
The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, "Let's see ... size 44 long." Joe laughed, "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in this business 60 years!" the tailor said. Joe tried on the suit ... it fit perfectly.
As Joe admired himself in the mirror, the salesman asked, "How about a new shirt?" Joe thought for a moment and then said, "Sure."
The salesman eyed Joe and said, "Let's see, 34 sleeves and 16-1/2 neck." Joe was surprised. "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in this business 60 years."
Joe tried on the shirt and it fit perfectly. Joe walked comfortably around the shop and the salesman asked, "How about some new underwear?" Joe thought for a moment and said, "Sure."
The salesman said, "Let's see ... size 36." Joe laughed, "Ah ha! I got you, I've been wearing size 32 underwear since I was 18 years old."
The salesman shook his head and said, "I've been in this business for 60 years, and you can't possibly wear a size 32. A size 32 would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache."
New suit -- $400
New shirt -- $36
New underwear -- $6
Second Opinion -- PRICELESS -
Good night Circle girls and Peter! Its been a great day with such wonderful news for some of us. I hope everyone sleeps well and has sweet dreams.
"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have."
-
Cherryl, that is too funny!
-
Jaz,
As one of the forums on bco says, cancer is not funny, but I believe a little laughter every day makes a difference. I brought a smile to your face, and hopefully to others. I can go to bed now feeling that I've done a good deed. Be well.
Cherryl
-
Cherryl, I definitely think it helps to hang on to joy throughout this journey. If I hadn't, I would have been miserable all the way through treatment. Laughter is good medicine.
-
Slonedeb, I am glad you are feeling better.
Cassie, I remember you from the Panny days. That was quite a mess wasn't it? What on earth was up with that person? Seems the only one who could reach her by telephone was Vickie. Glad that is all over.
Yes, the circle has indeed changed. You see, when it was formed it was for everyone. Now, it is selective. And I do not mean to general members...
All of you who mention the confused couch I can clear up a few things for you. It is quite illuminating to the difference in the way people are here now.
A dear, wonderful sister of ours is gravely ill. She needs our love and help. She has never said an unkind word to a soul. Yet, she is being frozen out by the people who are posting repeatedly, ad nauseum, to themselves.
That is not what the Wagon Circle was all about. When a sister fighting mets posts about her condition, the Wagon Circle that I knew would have embraced her and kept her safe and let her know she was loved. But now? Now they post that they are having a mindless "party" directly after she musters up enough energy to post the latest on her condition. What's more, they are purposely ignoring her.
This is very hurtful. I started this thread last year and let me tell you- this is something that has never, ever been done before.
So when you see a vapid post about nothing, or a "party", or a pretty picture being posted purposely ignoring a member who needs our help so desperately, please keep in mind that these are not the people who made Time to Circle the Wagons the wonderful thread it once was.
A pretty picture and naming everyone EXCEPT the circle girl you have met in person who you know is terribly ill?
Going on endlessly about the sniffles when a port won't heal so lifesaving chemotherapy cannot be administered??
WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?
I ask you old time members- not the new ones who don't know what is going on behind the scenes here- to please- PLEASE
Check your hidden agendas at the door.
If you want to "rebuild" the circle, purposely hurting someone we all know and love is not a foundation upon which anything can be built.
Everyone is well aware of the PMs that are flying back and forth... because you see, the same person sending them to you sent them to us when they were griping about YOU.
If you really want to rebuild you have to start with only one desire- to love and care for those of us who are going through a hard time. That's it. Nothing else.
If you have to repeatedly post what a nice person you are and what a loving place this is... just who are you trying to convince? Yourself? Or the people you are posting to. If you are indeed such a nice person- then people will see that. If a place is truly loving- people will see that also.
I have written to Tami and Melissa about this because it is so upsetting. Everyone knows what I am referring to. And a pretty photo or saccharine response is not fooling anyone.
Please.
Be kind.
Please stop hurting the member you are so being so cruel to. She has nevernever been anything but a friend to you and is hurting now and needs only love and positive energy. Go pick on someone else. Please.
This is serious business here guys. It's not a game.
Thank you for listening.

I'm an oldtimer and I have NO clue what Gina is talking about. I guess that's because I don't visit very often. I can't keep up.
Prayers to our gravely ill sister. I know not who you are, but you'll be in my prayers, as well as the rest of you. I'm saddened at what's appears to be happening here. I'm not going back to read past pages, because I'm sure that it would only sadden me more. I'll just remain confused.
-
I swear I posted a happy b-day wish to CY this morning, but now it doesn't show up!
CY...I hope you had a good day.
Big hugs
Deb C
-
Before this day is officially over in my time zone, I want to add my birthday wishes for Cy. Hope your special day was a good one. Am keeping you in my prayers.
As always, love, Laura
-
Lini, I think I am on the confused couch with you over that post. I know she runs her own site now, maybe they are having some problems over there. But it is good to know we have Tami and Melissa as our Moderators here and that the rules of the site are followed.
Happy Birthday CY, and praying that only good news comes your way.
Have to read back a bit and see what has been happening
Peter
-
Good evening Peter! Nice to see you popping in for a bit. Did you hear about Vickie's new job? Isn't that fantabulous!
-
Good evening to you Jasmine, your up late tonight hope your day has been great mate.
Not had a cance to read back yet, needed to step outside and get some fresh air, wow that is fantastic news about Vickie, I am so happy for her.
Peter
-
I am an old timer on the forum but seldom post anymore.
After checking in tonight, I am just stunned. How sad to see what has happened to (what was) a fabulous support group.
I have no idea what Gina is talking about or who she is talking about. I find the post to be very confusing.
Whoever is ill and hurting, my heart goes out to you. Be strong and be well ~~

Good Morning all
Vickie have not been hiding mate or gone MIA, yesterday was a public holiday in Melbourne, call us a weird mob down under but the holiday was in honor of a horse race. One thing let to another and I ended going out to a party last night and did not get home until around 3am this morning.
It was good to go out and relax for a change, and take my mind of a hospital appointment tomorrow with an ENT specialist, which is a follow up to a CT scan I had a couple of weeks ago.
Janice I hope it is only your computer playing up,
as the last im message I had from you was that you
were calling 911 again.
Vickie Congratulations Pal that is great news about
the position you applied for, hope it gives you a
chance to sleep in a bit later in the mornings as I
noticed your area is expecting some snow this week.
I do hope you got your fire fixed and you and Nate
were able to have some warm sweet dreams in your own
beds last night.
Cherryl Holt You made me smile with the joke you
posted, know there is a busy week ahead for you and
sending good vibes and prayers that the conference
goes well.
Welcome Sasi to the Circle, many on the confused couch, but you will find the group here very supportive, and I hope we see more of your posts.
Gracie congratulations on the all clear with your mammogram.
Susan thanks for posting the circle of love Picture and that other one
Cassie, I hope I said G'day to you last time, I apologize if I did not and welcome you to the circle, if ever you feel like you need a friend or some extra support you will not find a better group than there is here.
Shrink good to see you posting again in the circle.
Slonedeb, I will continue to pray for only good news and know you will fight this disease and come out on top.
Pam wow two posts from you on one page, I hope you were able to stay warm last night and got some decent sleep mate. With the change in daylight saving hours we have now gone from 14hours ahead to 16hours, no wonder I get confused easily.
Odalys, thank you for the hammock, I made great use of that today.
Hi Deb C, Laura, Madison, Lisa
CY I wished you a happy birthday earlier, not sure if I was late but I do hope you had a good day. Sorry that times are so hard for you at the moment, and only wish you much better times ahead.
Carrie good to see a post from you, and I hope all is going well at the moment.
MB guess you must be ready for another plane trip by now
Candie I hope you have got positive results from all you scans.
Sheri glad the auditions are going so well, think we might have a new star in the making
Marisa, another wonderful photo, looks like the Aussie vibes have helped once, so now sending them your way.
Jasmine Sorry I missed the night watch last night, and thanks for your kind words once again, not to mention the great pics you are posting, hope you have a relaxing day.
Well my time is up and time for this Aussie to find his bed once again, so wishing all a very happy Wednesday.
Take Care
Peter
