Three Year Anniversary Tomorrow!!
I cannot believe it has been three years since I got the "It's cancer" speech. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and other times it seems like such a long, long time ago.
What I remember most was my hs reunion - three weeks to the day after my dx. I remember sitting there listening to everyone talk about the next reunion - our 25th. All I kept thinking about was if I would still be around in five years. My mom didn't make it that long after her dx...
I just wanted to share my champaigne moment with you all. Thanks for helping make the last three years a little bit easier to get through ;-)

I just started the 'it's cancer' path this past June, but praise to God you have passed the three year mark. My mom just passed her 6 year anniversary last month and she is doing great. She celebrated her 50 wedding anniversary this past May and she is going to her 50th High school reunion this weekend.

Thanks, everyone! I celebrated by going to the gym this morning and having an absolute blast! The treadmill was fun, I did some kata in one of the aerobics rooms and beat the snot out of an innocent heavy bag with my bo (martial arts weapon). It truly felt great to be alive.
What a difference a few years makes. Three years ago, the world seemed so dark but today, it felt like the sun was shining just for me!
See you at the Commons, Peg! -
FELICIA!!!!
Yippee skippy!!
I am thrilled for you! Here's to many more years dancing with our friend NED!!
love Tina

Way to go, Felicia!! I have made it a ritual of celebrating my survivorship dates in the gym. (And now, I will have TWO dates to commemorate!)
Each year takes us further and further from that dark hole of diagnosis. When cancer was on the brain 24/7. Now we may have a few hours that we don't even think about it!
Keep up the good work. Celebrate each day.

Felicia,
Thanks for sharing your special time with us. The years do pass more quickly than I'd like actually-- but when thoughts go back to our dx date, it does seem like yesterday.
Here's to many more anniversaries to come.
