    Hi there ladies.

    Do you realise if you Google your username the information you have marked as Private shows up for all to see.

    When I filled in this Private/ Public information I was a bit wary, but saw it said that this info wouldn't show up, so filled in my email addy, thinking it may be useful to BCO for contact.

    I tried to 'edit' this info, and remove my email. I am not being allowed to do this, so I have made up an email!!! The silly thing is, this has being accepted !!

    I googled my information and it only showed what was in Public info. I guess if our user names are cryptic, it shouldn't matter. This is a public forum. I did remove my zip code. Thanks for the heads up.

    I gotta love the fact that my user name is Bugs.  Tried to google it and a lot of bug facts come up...but not mine Laughing

    This is addressed under the "Bugs, Problems" thread, not sure of the whole correct name, but it was started by the moderators when they switched programs.

    Anyway, it explains the reason why it appears everyone can see your private info but they really can't and I'm not technically savvy enough to explain it well..or at all!

    Look under "Privacy Breach, Help" posted by Ginger I believe.

    Have to correct myself, it's listed under "Comments, Suggestions, Features Request" and the title of the thread is 'Personal Security Breach, Help".

    You're right.  I logged off and then googled mine and a couple others.  The public information does come up.  Along with your avatar.  Not too sure I like that.  I'm going to delete everything off the public information page.  Thanks for the heads up.

    Wow, Isabella!

    I didnt add my email addy.I never bandy it about.But I googled JOA and got innumerable hits-the title of my avatar(which is titled in my computer, but not here)and plenty of things I've said here.

    Was it always thus?

    I dont know how calm I feel about this...
