New Jersey this fall?
Anyone up for a meeting this fall? Maybe at Ocean City or LBI? Spend a day at the beach and have lunch/dinner? Or if interested an overnight at a hotel? Would love to meet husbands, children and others.

Tgirl, Absolutely. I'm in, I've been hoping to meet some of the Jersey girls on the boards and in the chat. I know there are a few others looking to meet up, name the time and place and I will be there. Looking foward to it. I will mention it to others in chat room. If you need any help just let me know. Thought about going to Pinkstock but couldn't get away so this would be fun. I live close to the shore but any where you choose will work. Take care and talk to you soon. Hugs KLynn

Me, me, me---I wanna go too!!! Let me know the details!!!
-
Take your pick then..which beach in Sept?
-
Packed and ready just say the date , time and place. You may want to make it central jersey or northern south jersey somewhere so that north jersey ladies can also make it. Look forward to meeting everyone. Maybe even the Philly and NY ladies would like to come. I'm easy just name the place. Hugs to all, KLynn

Would this be on a weekend? If so, I may be able to swing it.
-
Has a date been set and a place? Good idea from Klynn to have it centrally located.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

The last time we did this, we met at Harold's right off Exit 10 of the NJ Turnpike. Would that work for everyone?
Sue

I would love to get together and meet some of you. Have you set a date yet? CArol

Exit 10 works for me-I would love to meet- I am in Monmouth County-Manalapan

Hi, With the new format I have not been on the boards much so just saw this. I am in Bergen County and exit 10 would be great for me. Just one thing, are you all old friends or in the same therapy forum? I don't want to barge in but right now would love to meet some other people. I finished rads in June and now feel I am flying solo. Even my friends who were there for me seem to think I should be over this thing.
Did not mean to ramble. Will check back to see if anything is set up.

Hi Connie
I am new to NJ-have been here for about 1 year. I am not on the board regularly but always happy to meet with other women who have been thru the same as me- or eager to help others just starting this journey. No one else quite understands us if they have not been there! You are welcome to join

Hi Connie,
I remember you from when we went through treatment in the winter /spring. I forget which boards we talked on. I'm glad you are doing well. How are you feeling? It would be great to meet you and the others here. Carol
-
How does October 6 or 7 work for everyone? And, btw, everyone is more than welcome!
Love, Sue
-
October 6 or 7th sounds good to me, I metioned it last night to some of the other ladies on the chat room, so I'm hoping to meet some of them too.Of course Connie you are welcomed, I have never met any of these ladies yet either, sounds like fun, being able to talk to others about living with this breast cancer, no matter how far out of or in treatment we are , is so supportive.Looking foward to meeting you all Candie, Sue ,Carol,T-Girl and Nancy.hopefully Kitkat, Arpy and Grace too. Hi--that weekend not good for me. I volunteer at the Avon Breast Cancer Walk and it is that weekend. I did it 2 years ago--I was a tenet angel--setting up tents for the walkers. Last year I couldn't go cause I was doing chemo--go figure that I got breast cancer the following year of first doing that. So this year I am ok and signed up for registration of the walkers and a few other things.
Connie, I am not far from you --in Essex County.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Okay ladies how about the following weekend the 13th or 14th so that Candie can make it too. I think walking for bc gives her a good enough reason to change the date heheeehe. Way to go Candie. Look foward to meeeting all of you.Hugs KLynn
-
The weekend ot the 13th would be much better for me too. I sure would love to meet you all. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Connie

Thanks for being willing to change the date. But I can't take credit for walking for bc. I am going to be registering the walkers. Maybe one day I will walk the walk but not now....but help is needed in all areas. I am also looking forward to meeting all.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Hi Everyone, I can do the 13th but not the 14th. The weekend of the 6,7th is not good for me either. Jeez, we're all so popular! Whatever the majority can do is what we should do - if I miss this one, I will catch you all at the next one! Carol
-
The 13th sounds good for me
Hugs,
Candie

OKAY ladies, we have a date----Oct.13th now how about a place, Sue suggested Harold's, I don't know the place myself but it sounds good to me, any thoughts??? Then we'll need a time too. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Pass the info on to any others that may want to join us. Hugs KLynn
-
Klynn, Harold's where? That is the place where they have those gigantic sandwiches and stuff, I think.
Hugs,
Candie
-
Hi Candie, Yes that's the place, I have never been there either. I think one sandwich can feed 10 people or something like that! I am guessing we'll do lunch? That will be my one year survivor anniversary! Carol
-
Carol, I have never been to one either. So nice that we will be able to celebrate your 1 year with you. One questions tho....in what town are we meeting--lol.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Thank, Carol--see you then.

Hi ladies - just saw this. Can I come?
I was at the last get together at Harold's. It was great meeting everyone. I will be leaving on vacation the following day but if I can get my dogs to the kennel early enough I might be able to make it. What time were you all planning on meeting?Valerie
-
Hi Valerie, Of course you're invited!!!!I can make it at anytime, so whatever is best for everyone else is good for me. It will be great to meet everyone. Harolds looks like a great place to meet. Carol what a better way to spend a day than with someone on their one yr anniversary. Hugs KLynn
