Oh my goodness, I received some awesome squares from CY's Aunt.....I am going to post pictures of her squares this evening...also post a picture of the new afghan.....
-
How nice of Cy's Aunt to contribute squares!! I was looking at the list of Hugahan recipients a few days ago, and am amazed at how many have gone out!
Thanks to all!!
Hugs,
Denise -
What is the scrapbook that Gina was talking about receiving with her afghan? I've already asked several but nobody seems to want to answer so I guess I will post the question here.
-
Jazz, Madison put together some notes from many of us about how we felt about the circle and how grateful we were to Gina for starting it and bringing us all together. That's the scrap book
We've missed you in the circle. -
What a shame I wasn't asked to contribute. I surely would have loved to be part of the scrapbook for Gina since I also had squares in her afghan.
-
I have "Toned" down my response....from earlier..sometimes after working hard on a project...it is difficult to be accused of not trying to reach all that I possibly could. I was not screaming....just trying to defend myself from a false accusation.
So this is edited, with no caps.
However since you answered me with caps....I will repeat part of my deleted post again...
You were asked to contribute in a PM that I copied in the earlier post. You apologized..acknowledged that you received the PM...then got mad at my response and, deleted it and then answered me in caps.
In response to your later post that your post was directed to no one in particular......you sent me a PM, so I knew it was directed to me. I put the project together.
I could not answer your PM because your box was full...so you took the issue up on the open forum.
Anyway....over and done with.....this project will not become embattled. It means too much to me to have any accusations (whether directed at me or in general) flying around on the boards. I will always defend myself.

MADISON
NO PARTICULAR NAME WAS USED IN MY POST. IT WAS A GENERAL POST. -
Jasmine: You have been missed around here. Sounds like your feelings are hurt. You must know that no one purposely didnt include you. Im sure it was difficult to coordinate cause no one wanted NS to read about the plan.
I tried to send you a PM, but it says you are not accepting any pm's. Just know that we miss you. -
NS: What a wonderful gift to receive and what perfect timing. I didnt have a chance to participate in this project. I wasnt at Pinkstock and it seems like I have been sick forever. This is one special gift - you are loved by so many people.
Madison and Vickie: Your hard work only continues to amaze me. Having the pleasure of putting one afghan together, made me realize how hard this project really is.
Nicki -
Thanks Nicki. A nice reply with no caps or screaming. I very much appreciate your response. I miss you too.
-
Jasmine: We have known each other for so long. Its easy to know when another sisteris hurting. I know sometimes we need to take a break, and lord knows Im one of the biggest whiners lately, but I sure do hope you come back soon. So many of us miss you.
Nicki -
I ditto nicki feelings Jass
Miss u (u are not a forgetable person)
LOVE YOU SIS -
madison - did my box of squares get there safe and sound ?
-
Yes, I received your box yesterday. I love the squares and the colors. Ihave one afghan completed that will be mailed Tuesday. The new afghan will include your squares.
I also received squares from MB...so yesterday, after an awful week at work...it was wonderful to come home to hug squares.
Even DH loves to see the squares and watch the afghans get completed.
We could not do this project without all of your help. Never doubt that your time spent making squares is not appreciated, because it is very much appreciated! Thank you -
Nicki and Jankay, thank you for your kind responses. I love you too. Hugs.
-
I love all of you!! The ones making the afghans and the ones receiving them........we all need each other!
I've got quite a few squares done, after slacking off for a bit. I'll mail them this coming week.......who need them, Vickie or Madison????
Hugs,
Denise -
Send your squares to Madison for now. I have one afghan nearly finished but I must confess...I am having issues with my hand. I have an appointment to get a gauntlet that will hopefully help and allow me to keep going. I actually refuse to quit...it is just takin me a bit longer to finish them.
Don't know what I'd do without all of you.
Jasmine...be sure that there is no way Madison would have ever left you out intentionally. She worked very hard at getting as many responses as she could. I have tried to reach you through your IM also but haven't had any luck...you know that you are missed.
love and hugs all the way around
Vickie -
I was going to take a picture of the afghan I am mailing Tuesday, however, my cat has taken temporary possession:
-
These are the squares from CY's Aunt.....don't you just love them:
-
adorable !!!
-
thank you ALL so much again.
I LOVE my hugaghan!! -
Gina, FABULOUS pictures! Wow I can't believe that is a wig, it looks SO naturally. You are a beautiful woman! Hugs, Marsha
-
Gina, you look beautiful surrounded by the afghan, scrapbook, and birdhouse "hat." Maybe I need to have Denise videotape and send me the tape on how to do the squares with the Knifty Knitter because I cannot follow the written instructions for some reason.
Margaret -
Margaret, Just do the figure 8 around the pegs then go back and do it the other way. then take the bottom loop on the peg and lift it over the top loop. before you know it you have it going. Most use two strands of yarn at a time other wise it's pretty whimpy
-
Madison: I love, love, love it!
Cy: Your Aunt is awesome for helping out, and her squares are so unique!
Margaret: I'll show you step by step.......somehow! I'm not good at written instructions either......but once you 'get it' you will be surprised at how easy it is! If all else fails, I'll be out your way somewhere in November....we'll have a quick class!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Gina, I love the pictures. You are such a beautiful woman. You have such grace and class. I am so glad I can call you my friend. I didn't get anything into the scrap book, but that's my own fault. I got the pm, but the time got away from me. I just want you to know how much you and your posts have meant to me. Thank you.
-
Madison, I love those squares that CY sent. Beautiful! I have a stack of squares I have been meaning to send for quite awhile. I promise to get them to you soon.
-
CY and Denise, I swear I've done figure 8s, used two strands of yarn, and done everything right and it still looks like cr*p.
Margaret -
Margaret you have to get quite a bit on there before it starts looking right. you'll get it!
-
Reposting the link to the KK videos, see if that helps.

I haven't really made squares this summer, I did 3 baby afghans. I don't know what possessed me.... I will have to get some yarn for squares but we're going to the beach for our vacation next week (Max too) -- finally!!!
Madison, the afghans are beautiful as always. It is quite amazing the number that have been completed. Is there a Guiness Book or Records for afghans I wonder? -- Donna in VA
