I'm sending my blocks with Deb. She's bringing them to Pinkstock for me. There should be 20 of them. So, a part of me will be at Pinkstock, too.
Hugs, healing & prayers, Laura -
Shoot....now I can't take credit for Laura's work! *Just kidding* LOL....they are pretty too. Too funny, we picked one of the same colors of yarn, but mine are crochet.
Hugs
Deb C -
To all you dear ladies,
I am home from my thyroid surgery and all went very well. Had an extra night due to low calcium but everything seems to be on the mend now. I took my "Hugger" to the hospital and refused to use the standard, white hospital issue. Every person who came in my room remarked on my blanket of many colors and, after hearing it's history, were amazed. You all have to know how much you brightened not only my stay but also the days of my caregivers. You all know how cold a hospital can be .. I was the only one who was toasty, warm and comfortable. Except when I asked the nurse to put it on DH so he could get some rest. Only for DH would I give up the "Hugger".
Another "Hugger" success story. Thank you again for your thoughts, prayers and presence in my circle. Karen -
My dh has been sick all week with fever, soar throat, aches, etc. When he lays down on the couch I have been covering him up with my special "hug". He thanks all of you, too!

Jenni, I sent you a PM
I received squares from Boo/Sue, Cherryl Holt and Marsha (at Pinkstock).
The afghan we were making at Pinkstock should be finished this weekend. Please give me suggestions on a possible recipient. I did think of someone, but need everyone's thoughts!!!!
Thanks bunches, Hugs Madison -
I'm crocheting my fingers to the bone bordering. LOL Sure hope I'm doing it right. I'll have some ready to mail out soon.
-
After seeing how this has brought ya'll together (I think me,donna and denise were the only non-knitters or crocheters) I am ready to re-learn at least one of the arts. Be prepared or should I say, be afraid... you may see some squares from me soon!
Maybe it will be a new addiction for me and I can put down an old one. -
Christine- I don't knit or crochet either - but I may take up the knitting again for this good cause - my Grandma taught me how to do that when I was a kid.
-
Listen Christine, if I can use a Knifty Knitter than anyone can! Of course no one has commented on my lovely squares that I sent with my PS box. What did you guys do with those anyway? I mean are they usable? LOL Or were they just good for a laugh???
-
I saw them Marsha. They were gorgeous. I think Madison has them.
-
Oh Jas, it's OK, my hubby laughed pretty hard! Said do actually expect to see those in a picture? hahaha
-
No, really! They were beautiful. Give your hubby a good kick where it counts because Madison will definitely be using them.
-
Well OK, I'll start on some more. I was afraid they were too loose or something. Thanks Jas!
-
Marsha, I have indeed incorporated your squares in the current afghan. Great colors and work!!!
-
Hi looking at the pics of Pinkstock and seeing all of you knitting/crocheting made me want to do it too. Since I can't do either, I am gonna take a class. Should I do knitting or crocheting? What would be easier since I have never did either one? What a nice thing to do? I can't to be part of this. Thanks.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Please pray for my sister, Fran. She was dx w/stage 3 bc last August and now has 2 baseball sized tumors on her uterus and a cyst on her overary. Please pray that it is NOT mets. I can't lose my sister! Thank you. Lucy
-
oops an above--should say I want to be part of this--sorry-lol
candie -
Candie, you can be part of the afghan project...the squares are really 7x9....either crochet, knit of kniffty knitter....any color you want. They yarn needs to be washable...so no wool....
The first page (or second page) of this site gives links to several patterns.
If you want a How to Book for crochet....send me your addy in a PM...I have extra beginner crochet books....
There are several that knit and they may be able to give you some pointers...
Madison
Lucy, saying prayers for your sister... -

Yea Madison!! Another hugaghan on the way soon! I could not believe how fast you all could whip out those squares! I have a few here (still) and vow to get back at it VERY soon! I wish Jasmine would fly in and give me more lessons on that Cool Crochet Stitch thingy she was doing! The Crochet and the "real" knitted ones look so much nicer...........but, hey, I ain't gots much talent!!
