Low blood pressure

I finished up with the Herceptin a week ago, chemo was over in October '06. I have been walking around feeling so lightheaded for several days now. Thought it might be bl/pressure so I checked it with my husband's machine and found that I have been running around 95/66.
Anyone know how to increase their blood pressure?
Seriously, this isn't a problem people have very often, and I can't find much in the way of suggestions, other than hydration which I have increased. Thanks!!

Dorie,
I had the same issue and my onc. nurses told me to also increase my salt intake. (Great excuse to eat those potato chips!) However my red blood cell count was also very low and was a contributing factor - I did get Procrit shots for this which did help with the dizzy, lightheaded feeling. Have you had your blood work checked recently?

First, check with your doctor to make sure the Herceptin didn't affect your heart negatively.
Maybe increasing your coffein intake and maybe a little bit more sodium in your diet might help. If your doctor allows for a regular exercise program, do it. It keeps your heart healthy and efficient.
I go through the same thing for periods of time with also a very low heart rate (did not have Herceptin)....feels so weard sometimes.

You guys rock! Thanks for the quick feedback. I had a Cardiac ultrasound a month ago and bloodwork two weeks ago today. Counts were very good.
The Arimidex does slow me down but this is ridiculous. I even said no to a round of golf yesterday because I felt so light headed. I will increase my salt along with fluids and see what happens.
Went out on Saturday and had several Coronas, and that pushed my top number to 117. Probably not a good idea as an every day remedy though.

My blood pressure is often that low and it's been like that forever (before BC). My docs always say it's just fine--a good thing and nothing to worry about.

Corona, huh
I read a lot of ladies take their AI before bedtime. Maybe that would help too?

My blood pressure is always around that low. Sometimes it's even lower and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Ask the doctor if that really is an issue you need to worry about. If you continue to be lightheaded that could be an issue, so maybe the doctor has a suggestion.

It's different though when it's NOT "always around that low". Mine went to 90/60 during chemo and I was dizzy and almost passed out several times. I normally have HIGH blood pressure and was on daily meds for it for years. But when this happened, I had to go off them and I've been off my bp meds for 8 months now (7 months past chemo).
The good thing was that there was something I could do about it (go OFF my bp meds) and within a week my bp was up to "normal". -
I too have low blood pressure now... around 90/60. Sometimes I get light-headed too. I never even considered that it was caused by treatments... hmm...
At least its not high blood pressure!
