Does anyone know the details of Paul McCartney's wife's BC....that is, stage, grade, node involvement, what tx she had and whether or not she did hormone therapy? I've searched Google but can't find much. It seems that she had recurrence pretty quick after thinking she was all clear.

    Linda was diagnosed in 1995 with breast cancer, and her condition soon grew worse as the cancer spread to her liver.[13] Talking about the medication used to treat Linda's breast cancer, Paul McCartney said: "If a drug has got to be used on humans then legally it has to be finally tested on an animal ... This was difficult for Linda when she was undergoing her treatment."[14] He also claimed that Linda had been kept in the dark about how the drugs she took may have been tested on animals: "During the treatment, a nice answer is a nice answer and if they (the doctors) say, `It's OK to have this because we didn't test it on animals', you are going to believe them."[14]

    Before I had bc, I watched her life story... a movie I think.

    I always thought after that the breast cancer was horrid.

    When I was dx, I was terrified that my fate was just like Linda McCartney's....

    It took me awhile to get over that feeling too..

    I don't know anything more about Linda McCartney, but was wondering if you all knew about Minnie Ripperton? She was the incredible jazz singer who died of BC in her early 30s, leaving her daughter - Maya Rudolph, of SNL. I was googling Maya the other day and came across that sad story. Maya was only 7 years old at the time.

    Every time I hear Mya Rudolph sing I think that her mom is probably smiling down on her. I have seen the video of Minnie singing that song (Loving You?) where she hits those high notes and she looks like she was a really sweet woman.
