She's a runaway train accident waiting to happen. I gather her mother wants to be her friend rather than a mother....time for her to step up and do her job.

So why so soft on her, so hard on Paris?
-
I believe that 4 day sentence is for Nicole Richey Lindsays day in court is yet to come.
I really wish I didnt know so much about these spoiled rich girls, but I admit it I watch Entertainment Tonight.

I for one am horrified at this girls behavior. I am the mother of a 9 year old girl. Let me tell you that train wreck unfortunately is someone that they look up to. We own some of the Lindsey movies and had a couple of CD's. Im upset to see this girl in the news so much. Its interesting to watch my daughter try and wrap her mind around this. She all of the sudden does not like the movies with LL in them. She was also bothered by the Paris thing however less then the LL. She used to say things like "do you love it?" and it went away but after the arrest it came back. All of these girls that the pre teens were into seem to be falling apart. I'll be honest I thought the judge was harsh on Paris, granted she is annoying and an idiot but it seemed harsh at the time. Now I think they are too lenient on LL and Nicole. By the way Im convinced that LL mom is supplying the coke to her daughter. You ever see that woman in an interview? She's a mess too!
-
Pam, i read that headline today, it is the Richey girl that was sentenced to 4 days in jail.
-
four days was for nicole. pretty sad.
-
oops, my bad. Too many train wrecks out there I mixed them up.

Since the Paris Hilton fiasco I have been reading the rags, they are outrageous. Today they posted a picture of Britney driving her car with her son in her lap. The rest of us would have our kids taken away and be in jail by now. I don't get it, why do these poor excuses for parents get to do these things with no consequences?
LuAnn -
If either Lindsay or Paris were women on public assistance...they'd both be cooling their heels in jail for a long time. Unfortunately now in America, the moneyed aren't subject to the same laws that the rest of us are subject to........

Is it true that druggie Nichole is now pregnant? Too bad. The kid will come out a mutant...
-
they should be made to watch a mother weep over the body of her dead child. Theses people make me sick.
-
I'm totally against drinking and driving, it's a completely preventable crime, especially since these starlets can afford private drivers. That said, I also feel for Lohan. She stayed longer in rehab than the 30 days, yet relapsed so quickly. Her mother was seen on numerous occasions driving with her in clubs when Lindsay was underage, her father in jail for numerous offenses and had a protection order against him for the family. Where were her parents when all this went down? Her father was all over the "news" programs talking about HIS sobriety and what he could do for Linsday if not for the estrangement/restraining order. The woman needs help, not just for herself, but for those who could be harmed by her crimes.

From what I hear, jail is not the worse thing that can happen to LL. Apparently her career is where she is likely to be punished. Insurance companies frown big time on this type of behvior and the cost of doing movies is so high they are likely to just find another, equally talented, actress who knows how to behave. There are TONS of them out there.

I think the actors guild should ditch her. This has to be 1000 other talent ladies out there that would not throw it away like she is.

I'm really glad to be on the East Coast...xo
-
I think she, Paris and the like, should do some time in the L.A. morgue...attending an autopsy of victims of DUI's and see what they think afterwards...then go to each funeral of these victims and observe the relatives....
-
I'm also sad that she relapsed so quickly - I hope she can surround herself with better people....it's sad that all these "train wrecks" are endangering other people...her parents need to help themselves and then help her....
-
What really pisses me off is that we all have to sit back and wait for these selfish wenches to "hit bottom".
Unfortunately their "bottoms" usually involve death or some other tragedy. Innocent men, women and children fall prey to these self-indulgent, self-absorbed, spoiled, narcissistic alcoholics and drug addicts.
Forget their parents. These are grown women who can make their own decisions. LL just came out of a rehab that cost $48,000/month. I'd like to go to that rehab and I'm not out to kill anyone with my insane behavior. It looks more like a resort than a rehab.
Enough is enough. Any member of any 12-step program would agree that our society is enabling her and others like her. It's disgusting.
I wonder if an African American male from South Central L.A. behaving the same way would be treated by the law as nonchalantly as she has. I seriously doubt it. Furthermore, no one would be blaming his parents or pitying him for his past, a relapse, a possible mental illness, or certainly his rapid and immense success.
I say we treat the LL's of the world the same way we'd treat the black kid from S Central LA with the same record. That sounds fair to me. -
I agree Mena..
I didn't mean to sound like I blame her parents or don't think she's responsible.
I'm just shocked at how quickly she threw her life away....
Rich or poor, black or white, shouldn't matter - she broke the law and put innocent people in danger.
Pretty soon, this will be her...
