The long awaited call came just a few minutes ago. Ed told me the surgery lasted five hours. After an hour and a half one of the nurses came out to talk to him and his heart sank. But she was in there three hours longer.
The blood is now flowing nicely past the aneurysm and she even woke up long enough to tell Ed that she was so glad it was overwith. She had a pretty bad headache so she's been heavily medicated and will stay that way for the next 24 hours.
They are talking about discharging her tomorrow!!! They did the coil procedure, so recovery should be quick. But her brain is healing, so she should rest as much as possible for the coming week.
More details later!!!!

Only one--the most serious of her aneurysms--was repaired. It was a biggest one. The others are much smaller and will be much easier to handle.
Puppy, we love you and are so happy you got through this. We're gonna have a wild & crazy party for you tonite...right here. Sorry you can't be here..but you can see it all later.
Let's meet back here around 6 pm and have a little party...bring your booze and your pix and we'll celebrate Puppy's recovery!!!

BYOL
Margaret, your two little squirmy puppies are totally adorable! -
So glad puppy is out of surgery. Just hope the pain resolves itself soon.
Shirley -
Well, I guess some people want to get the party going early. I can't start drinking until dh comes home.
He's bringing the gin.... -
Puppy, you sure had us worried!!! No call until two pm!!!!
Didn't know what to THINK!!! -
I am so happy hearing good news about Puppy. I may even have a drink for her tonight.
-
Brenda, we're having a drink for her right now. What are you
drinking?
Mena will be here in a minute. She's busy ordering pizza.
Mizsissy -
WOOOOO FREAKING HOOOO....
HALLELUJAH!!! SO HAPPY, DEB, I POPPED 3 TYLENOL 3 SO I COULD PARTY WITH YOU, AS I DON'T DRINK WELL...
Pizza is on the way; garlic knots as well...Sorry I couldn't cater a fancier spread Deb, I'm just not that formal and it was all so spur of the moment. I went from horizontal to vertical rather quickly.
I even broke an ankle yesterday so we could recover together! Actually, I was emptying out the shed so my ex couldn't steal anything anymore and I fell down in the driveway and re-broke that ankle that I broke last summer walking down the street.
In all seriousness, I did pray vehemently when Linda called earlier today. I prayed not for you Deb hahahah...I prayed for the surgeons and nurses and everyone who would be touching our precious Pupster! Then I added a little side note for you, Deb, course I did!
I'm supremely pleased you are out of the proverbial woods. Now a couple of us have a plan to see you in September. Hey, I feel an old song coming on...
OK let me go get something that looks alcoholic so I can fake a buzz.....xo -
Mena,
It is so freakin nice to see you here!!! Now let me get over *How Excited I Am to See you Posting* so I can think clearly!
Has your Tylenol 3 kicked in yet?
You know, I am so much happier to see you here than in Morgantown...
xxxooo Mizsissy -
Jesus, Mena, three of them...are you still awake?
-
Party
-
Now girls, this is a very important party and I expect you to show a little dignity and decorum here. Get your faces out of that pizza!!!
OK, here we are all dressed up for you Puppy... -
PUPPY, Thank God surgery is over! I am drinking a beer to you and Bubba is having a little moonshine in his water bowl. Hope he doesn't get out of line at your drinking party, but he sure loves his (((((((PUPPY))))))))))
Love, Marsha -
I think the 'puppies' started before us!! I am soooooo very happy that all went well today............love ya Puppy!
Keep the party going....I'll be back real soon........don't drink so I have to go find a 'drink look-a-like'!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Mena, have you passed out?
Adrionna, what did you give those puppies? Tylenol III??????? LOL!!! -
Ok...we simply CANNOT have this party without our happy dance man for Puppy
Now...please pass me a drink...a blue one would be nice...where is everyone. Looks like I gotta round em up!
