Wow! What an amazing list. This is a fantastic project. I so love being involved. Bathroom is taking away from my crochet time though. My aunt is still plugging away.
Back to work. UGH -
Wonderful afghan contributors...
32 afghans equals 1,344 squares you have contributed.
This is awesome!!!
Hugs, Madison -
ok still feeling bad about no time ...but I will catch up..I have a few squares for pinkstock already...lol..
MB -
Confession time here ladies. I am wayyyy behind and I am so very sorry. I have just been so overwhelmed with work, Nate, housework, lawnwork, TMJ, a fall from the hammock...I have just not had a free minute. It's almost 10pm and I just got a chance to sit down for the first time since I got home. Posted in the circle and now here.
Madison has been crocheting her fingers off and I just wanted to give her a bit cyber hug for all the hard work she is doing. I have sent a couple of afghans in the past couple weeks but no where near as many as I wish.
I am catching up now and will be sending one in the next day or so and another hopefully by the end of the week. I will get back on track and work harder...I don't consider it work though...I love it and i love all of you for all your time and effort and I promise not to fail you!
Love and hugs all
Vickie -
I am going to try to mail this afghan tomorrow.......it will be on the road for awhile....so the recipient my not receive the package for a week or more:
Hugs, madison -
Vickie-
Hon, you are on NO time schedule with making these beautiful gifts, so you CAN'T be behind. The time you have is fine. DO NOT stress about not "keeping up" with some number you think you should be doing!! I know you think this is fun, but if you are worrying, that's not good.
Don't worry be happy
Hugs

I AGREE WITH DEB

Vickie, Vickie, Vickie..........Quit obsessing and apoligizing! You both (you and Madison) have done so much and have made so many girls smile! When you can, that's the idea.
Madison: Beautiful once again! Where in the heck is it traveling that it may take a week or so to get there? Ohhh, I just had an idea.........am I right?
Hugs,
Denise -
I second, third, and fourth what Deb and Denise have said. These afghans are wonderful gifts of love and neither one of you should feel pressured to be completeing them by any self imposed deadline.
-
Vickie - what time schedule!!!!! You are not behind!!!! Please, please, please, take the pressure of yourself. you and Madison have done some an amazing job as well as all the other CG's who have contributed squares. I love my afghan and thing of all the wonderful gals who put their heart and time to make it. It was the first thing I saw when i walked in the door yesterday after being gone for 2 weeks and it put a smile on my face. Hugs, Karen
-
Madison..that is beautiful..you are wonderful to do this..I just had a quick question..what do you do to crochet the squares together after you frame them??
-
SoCalLisa,
I do a whip stitch in the back loop of the double crochet around each square.
Then a single crochet around the entire afghan, followed by a double crochet. -
Madison,
I'm glad to see you posted here...I was just saying on the CG thread that I was a bit worried about you!
Hugs,
Denise -
I mailed an afghan to Canada last week. I will be gone Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday of this week and return on Monday of next week...
Joanne in Canada will be receiving the afghan....Please be on the "look-out" for our recipient.
Hugs, Madison -
Everyone coming to Pinkstock can help put some afgans together! So maybe we can send some squares to MB's and Vickie & Madison can bring what they have and we'll all put them together and they can have a break!
There is NO TIME FRAME! so Vickie stop worrying! -
I would love to learn to put them together. I'll bring my hooks.
-
the newest one sent out yesterday!!!
The center piece is one of Jankay's...the outside squares are from Puppy...and the rest are from all of you wonderful women...you are the very best. -
awww..you gals are the best. Just reading all your "don't worry about it" posts...Thank you. I do worry about it though. It's my favorite thing to do! Yard work, work work, housework, summer, church, journals, weddings all got in the way LOL.
Love ya all

Our wonderful lady in Canada has received her afghan this day. She sent me a PM
This is some of what was said:
I just received this, Madison and I am overwhelmed and have so many questions. I posted a note on the afghan thread, but it seems so long, is there another place you suggest I post my thanks?
What a gift of love and support. I cannot believe it. You cannot believe how I felt when I opened that package and realized that virtual sisters had chosen me to receive this gift. I feel unworthy and I feel humble.... but mostly just SO GRATEFUL. It is a treasure.
I am just overwhelmed by this project and being a recipient makes me feel so loved and special and I just can't even describe the rest.
You are the best. You have send me a piece of your heart and soul and I feel the love.
WIth my heartfelt thanks and love. Joanne
Joanne, please wrap yourself in our hugs..... -
OMG I am speechless (this doesn't happen very often). My heart is about to pound out of my chest. I am crying and laughing at the same time. I can't believe you guys sent this to ME! I'm a newbie. OMG now I am rambling. In the words of Sally Fields, "you like me, you really like me."
My doorbell rings, it is my postman saying this won't fit in my box. I see Vickies return address and immediately thought, OMG vickie was my secret pal? She sure fooled me, I thought it was Christine. You can imagine my surprise when I realize it is not JUST from Vickie but all my cyber Broads. LOL I couldn't even pull it out of the box. I was just stunned.
Jankay, thank you so much for the very special center hug and Puppy for the unusual squares that make this afghan so unique!!
I have turned my AC down to 65 so I can wrap myself in this beautiful hug from all of you and have myself a nice little "you are loved" cry.
From the bottom of my very sincere heart, THANK YOU THANK YOU I LOVE YOU ALL. I am indeed lucky and very humbled by all of your love in return. Marsha -
