Somewhere I read now abojt an earthquake.Sort of an aftershock?I pray I'm wrong, and I pray our girl is OK.
-
I just got an email from Fumi - the earthquake did not affect her!
yah!! -
Thanks again so much for paying attention to what is happening in my country. Sorry Japan is such a full of nature threats country.
As Donna said, I'm doing just fine. That earthquake was too far to affect me. However it was a huge one (IX in the modified Mercalli scale) and more than 300 people got injured and 4 were killed. Imagine how awful it must have been to have such a huge earthquake after enormous amount of rain from the typhoon. So please keep those who were affected in your thoughts. I'm afraid that more to be reported as injured or dead. -
Whew!!I'm SO relieved!
Thank you again, fumi, and Donna, for reassuring me.
Those affected are surely in need of help.I hope it comes fast. -
Praying for safety and relief after the earthquake. -
I'm glad your ok Fumi - you're in my thoughts!
-
Geesh, Fumi! Glad you are ok - and sorry Mother Nature is being such a hard nose with Japan right now. Praying for all those who were hurt, lost loved ones and/or displaced. Please let us know if there is anything we can/should be doing to help from here...

Fumi:
I am so relieved to hear that you are safe. I am also so sorry to hear of the hundreds of injured and those killed in the earthquake. Prayers for them and their families!!!
God bless you Fumi - take care.
Hugs,
Pat -
Fumi, glad you are safe. If you don't mind, try to schedule a trip to Australia during Japan's typhoon season next year! I worry about you alone.

Fumi I was just telling my DH about the earthquake in Japan (saw it on the news). I AM SO HAPPY to hear that it did not affect you. Earthquakes must be really scary. Stay safe and you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Fumi, I am so relieved that you did not experience the quake. I see a lot of Japanese people at work that are just here for a short stay because of business. I saw a family today and asked them about the quake affecting their home and they said no but I did say I was worried about my computer buddy and they asked where you lived but I didn't know and told them so. My brother in law is a pilot and his route is JFK in New York to Tokyo but unfortunately only immediate family gets the discount fare rates. I would love to see some of the areas you have captured so beautifully with your pictures. Thank you for all your kindness and stay safe!

Thank you so much again for being concerned. The earthquake that was reported worldwide did not affect me but yesterday after I posted my last post, I did feel a shake! It was a relatively small earthquake but I was terrified as I thought it could be an omen of a huge one to come. Luckily our area didn't get any more.
The number of dead or injured keeps increasing. As of now, 9 have been reported as dead and more than 10k as injured. Too bad we can never predict earthquakes.
Hugs,
