Does anyone have a Zune?
I just got one yesterday-- boy do I feel old and out of touch. I thought I was pretty good at electronics before this....

LOL Amy, you feel old and out of touch? I don't even know what a Zune IS! Googling right now.....
-
Ahahahaha Zune looks like mispelled June!
I have no clue.
Nicki -
Amy, you can't be that out of touch I don't have a clue what that is!!
Hint, hint
Tina -
What's a Zune?
-
Don't feel bad Marsha, I googled Zune and still don't understand what it is for or how it is utilized!! Much too complicated for my feeble mind!! But, I don't have a blackberry or any other complicated equipment. I do well using my cell phone!
huggs, Sherry -
Stupid me!
My oldest son just bought a zune, I knew I had heard of it somewhere. It is the microsoft equiv. of an ipod.
He loves it, got it from amazon.com
Tina -
Tinairene-- can you ask him how I adjust the volume?
I figured I'd go for the zune over the IPOD because it has a radio and was jess expensive. The thing doesn't even come with a book to explain LOL. I've been on the phone with technical support twice so far-- they're gonna ban me. -
Sherry: Everytime I see Blackberry, I think of the fruit lol. I am so technology challenged.
Nicki -
Nicki, Yep, with my age group if I purchased a blackberry I would have no one to message! None of us can figure out how to use it!! My cell phone does not even take pictures! I am wayyyy behind in technology!
-
Ahahaha no picture cell phone here either.
Nicki -
Amy,
He's out at the University right now and I am in a Dragon Boat race/competition today and sunday, I will ask him as soon as I see him.
Tina -
Amy - my Ipod came with one page of instructions. I still don't know how it use it properly. You have to go on line to find out. Its insane.
I have a Trac phone. Its the type that you buy the phone for $20.00 and you buy the minutes as well. I bought 400 minutes about a year ago and still haven't used them all. My DH thinks its hysterical. I told him I don't care if I'm behind the times its saving me a ton of money.
Valerie -
I keep telling my hubby I need one of those Valerie. So far he's not buying it.
A Zune is an MP3 player I think -
Heck, I just carry a cell phone for ememgencies. don't even turn it on! My kids are forever yelling at me!
We even stopped using an ans. machine at home 20 years ago cause dh, the doc, felt guilty if a patient left a message and he didn't return the call on a weekend. LOL -
Oh, I am so pleased I'm not the only one to not bother with a cell phone !!!
I HAVE one, but its flat, somewhere in the depths of my bag, I last charged it at Easter !! I carry it ' for emergencies only', but, heck, if I had an emergency, it'd take me an hour to remember how to make a call.
I do carry my DHs brick sized cell if I am going off for the day. Its just about one of the first cells to come out, very heavy, but also very simple. I actually made a call on it last week!( only because I won't have Satnav either, and I got lost!!)
Even my 6 year old grandson has a cell, and a photo one as well.
I have an aversion to the landline too, will not answer it, always leave it to someone else, or stand and listen to somebody rambling away on the answerphone!!! I just feel 'phonecalls are a waste of time...standing there for hours talking about nothing!!
Time is precious to me Isabella. -
I do a pre-paid phone too. There's no way I'm going to spend $40 a month on a cell phone I hardly use. I go through about $50 every three months. And by the end of the three months I start making more phone calls. I ought to just get the $100 fill that lasts for a year.
I got the phone and AAA in December '05 cause I just thought I'd better. Got diagnosed in February. Found I needed to use both of them a lot after that. Chemo had me locking my keys in my car all the time!
Chemo got me an iPod tho and I love that (once I figured out the basics. I still don't know all the ins and outs!). -
I have no freaking idea!! Zune????
-
I can operate my ipod to listen to but my son puts my music on it for me. A zune is like an ipod, you put music of your selection on it.
-
Is your son available to come to Philly and figure mine out for me LOL?
Actually, I have figured out more of it-- I just need to figure our how to stop reloading everything from my computer onto the darn thing so then I don't have to spend a few hrs deleting it all to save what I want to hear. -
That was the problem I kept having and why my son now does it for me. i think he just got tired of telling ME how to do it. Kids are just more inclined toward this stuff than we are, though I did manage to do the ringtones on my cellphone by myself.
-
My husband bought a Zune last month and had so many technical difficulties with it!! There were no instructions, took forever to download his music, then his computer stopped working half way through downloading. He had to have everything taken off his computer and start over. $140 computer fix later, still nothing worked. Then a little piece fell off the cord, which I put back on for him. He bought a new Zune cord, thinking that was the problem. Back to the computer store. This went on for weeks with numerous trips back and forth returning things and buying new things to "fix" the problem!! He finally took everything back, got a refund and went out and bought an IPOD and started over. Hasn't had a problem since and now he listens to all his music from it!! When I hear the "Zune" word now, I just cringe.

oh chatty, i wish i had consulted you BEFORE buying it. I did research on line and I've been considering my options for about 9 months (and saving up $$)--- I do't think I can return it because i cut the serial number off the box for a rebate .
-
Call the store and ask. Explain you mailed the code for a rebate. Tell them you've had problems working it.
