I like Elizabeth Edwards. She's got class. I would vote for her before I would vote for Hillary.
-
I saw that.
Clearly EE loves politics!
I think you have to have a thick skin to be a player. -
Me too! Me too! I love her. I don't support her husband (we are Obama fanatics in my family) but she is great.
-
I like EE a whole bunch. I'm still voting for Hillary, though...
-
Anne Coulter is sooooo evil. She pretends to be a Christian, yet spews all kinds of personal attacks on people. Remember what she said about the 9/11 widows?
EE did a masterful job of putting Coulter in her place. I, too, will probably vote for Hillary, but would change that if EE were running. -
Has anyone read how she is tolerating her treatment?
Is she still able to make as many appearances?
I hope the new chemo isn't being tough on her. -
NS, did you get treatment today? How did it go?
-
Leaving now....
wish me luck! -
She and husband (WHAT was his name?) were on Jay Leno Monday night and she looked fabulous! Then I fell asleep....
Marin -
Is there a way to get rid of Ann Coulter? I'd vote for that.
-
Good luck g.
I'm glad to see this thread. I saw AC with Chris Matthews yesterday. Why any station gives her air time is beyond me. She is a hateful vile person. And if she keeps whipping her hair back and forth over her head I guess she will wind up with a neck brace. Poor thing. Not.
Elizabeth Edwards has so much class. She is dealing with so much. More than AC will ever know. It's horrendous EE has to put up with the vindictive AC. -
I *love* EE. I really wish she was running because I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. It was so refreshing when she stood up to all the cheap-shot, means-spirited garbage that Ann Coulter spews.
-
Im with all of you. I love EE also. She sure is one strong lady. I had never heard of Ann Coulter before but I saw clips on television when EE was talking to her by telephone. Right then and there, I knew I didnt like AC. She sounded like a very mean person to me and EE handled it GREAT!
Marin: I also read about her statement supporting gay marriage. She was matter of fact, common sense - made you think to yourself "Why not allow gay marriage."
I dont know who Im voting for. Still way too early for me. I like them all. Hiliary, Obama, Edwards, but would be pleasantly happy if Gore decided to run. Like always, Ill decide closer to the elections.
Elizabeth Edwards?

It's unbelievable that anybody even has Ann Coulter around after things she has said. I don't get it. I'm sure she makes a ridiculous amount of money for her evilness.

From what I understand she's doing one of the AIs. -
Marin, I do love that woman, and respect her highly.
She was more quiet before.
It's my personal finding that after battling bc, I am really not afraid of much.Maybe it's this which has changed her.
Whatever, she definately is AWESOME!! -
I have no idea how AC gets by with all she says, I don't know how Bill Maher and Rush (what's his name) get by with all they say either!
AC is vile and is no lady. -
I read the article about EE's statements to AC.
EE looked very tired in the photos.
I think AC is the spawn of satan. The remarks about John Edwards being killed by terrorists was b/c I forget who-- I think bill mahr or somone made a remark that dick cheney shouldve been killed by terrorists... I read it in the article. But one statement doesn't make the other right.
How dare anyone make a comment like that? Especially a republican like her that supports the war-- the war that thousands of soldiers are dying for-- to stop terrorists... and for her to continually spew out such disgusting remarks---
This is truly unlady like, but I would really like to spit on her. I know. So gross. But I have no words to convey how I feel about her. Spitting in her face would really sum it up. -
Go Elizabeth!! I was so happy to finally see someone come out and let Ann Coulter have it. That woman is insolent and beyond rude. I don't care if she is Yale or Harvard educated - she has no manners, no class. I hope more respected women come out and bash Coulter like she deserves.
-
QUOTE:"I don't care if she is Yale or Harvard educated - she has no manners, no class. "
Plenty of people are Ivy League educated and dont act like monsters and boors. In fact I dare say most IL-educated people dont.
The John being killed in a terrorist hit isnt as awful, to me , as the bumper sticker "Ask me about my dead son."
Is the picture of her in the article from the actual show?Because it is totally inappropriate to be smiling broadly, and wearing a cross, while saying these awful things!
(Or maybe the picture is a bit of media commentary>
?) -
Elizabeth is an axample of what a First Lady should be...so proud of her
-
One classy, one rude. Oh I thought we had our old thread back.
Elisabeth and Rosie. Elizabeth and Ann.
Sort of deja vu in an odd way don't you think. -
That's Rush (drug addicted but it doesn't count cause it's just a prescription drug and I only faked a few things and I'm not like that street scum that I'm always ragging on) Limbaugh.
He gives idiocy a bad name. -
QUOTE:"I don't care if she is Yale or Harvard educated - she has no manners, no class. "
Oh, sorry, left it out. She is neither Yale nor Harvard educated, BTW.Just Cornell.(Not being funny.Cornell isnt exactly the greatest of Ivy Leaugue schools.) -
I love what Elizabeth Edwards said and did! She's got so much class and Ann Coulter has none. Ya know AC has got to be bad when even the republicans want to distance themselves from her.
As for this being any comparison to Elisabeth and Rosie, I don't think the two are comparable at all. Rosie speaks up for the minority and for the troups and Elisabeth happens to have different opinions. Both are classy in different ways. -
Lini: You are so funny!

Thanks Shirley,
I am confused. I thought she had bone mets and was ER/PR negative??
well, whatever she is, I pray she is handling the tx she is getting. -
I agree that EE is one classy lady. I saw the Leno show, she said she takes "a tiny yellow pill" every day, and has an injection every month. She said there have been no side effects and she feels great. She looks fantastic - her hair is grown out and she's lost a ton of weight.
-
Yes, she does have bone mets. But the only thing I remember her saying is that she will be doing an HT. I believe some women use HTs for hormone positive mets. I don't believe she used an HT (not sure) after her first bc. I read part of her book (and then skipped to the last LOL) and no where does she talk about HTs.
If she's doing some other treatment then she hasn't "announced" it.
Shirley -
EE is one of my heros.
