Hi Gals....
I'm sorry..I am going to be working..so have FUN at Compari's (there Cosmopolitans are fantastic)..Let me know how you all are.
FYI-CT scan is 10/09/04-and my exchange is November 9th--yipppppppppppppppppppeee. Sorry I cannot meet all of you.
Lorie -
Oh Debra, I hope your headache gets better...really quickly so you can make it! Seriously, though, I hope you feel better soon, I get headaches all the time lately, and it s*cks. I also woke up with one this morning, with a toothache to boot (I hate the dentist), but after 4 cups of coffee and some Advil, I feel a bit better.
Chuck is getting a bit 'fluffy' as one guy put it yesterday!!! But he's really nice. I had my pic taken with him, as soon as I get it from my brother in law, I will try to post it. They said it was the biggest block party they've had yet, and I managed to weasel my way into 3 of the 4 broadcasts he did!!! How silly is that!
It looks like a really nice day out there.
See ya all later
Judy -
Oh no, LorieAnne, not you too!!! Oh well, I know you must be bummed...we will definitely have to do this again, I so wanted to meet all of you.
Is the CT scan for the lump you found? Do they have any answers for you yet? You sound happy, so I'm hoping they think it's nothing!
Hugs
Judy -
Have a great time at your lunch!
Catherine -
Girls who met for lunch....tell us all about it!!!!!!!
Lorrie -
It was wonderful! Each one of you were complete sweethearts. Two of the women realized that they were related - cousins! What a small world. Judy and Pam brought cameras so we may see some pictures.
For those of you who were not feeling up to it, don't worry - we will probably do it again.
xxxooo
Nancy -
Lorrie:
I agree with Nancy - we really had a great time of friendship. Everyone was so special and I greatly enjoyed our time together. We were so sorry that some of the gals couldn't make it this time, but we definitley will have to do it again, in the future!!!
Blessings,
Pat -
It was so nice meeting the people behind the posts. I look forward to the next one with hopes we can get all the MI sisters to attend.
-
So glad you had a wonderful time!!!! I didn't get back from Grand Valley State until well after 4:30pm. While we had a nice campus tour, I was disappointed to miss the Compari gathering. I will DEFINITELY make the next one!!!
How about scheduling another one for November? Just tell me where & when. Looking forward to seeing the pictures!
Hugs, Michele -
Hi all,
I too had a great time meeting yesterday. It was good to place faces and lives with posts!!! Guess what? When I returned home, there were two more t-shirts in my mail. I ordered one for Conniesue and one for me. Since I brought home one...who would like it? I will be more than happy to send it to one of you ladies whom did not get one. Just let me know. -
Hi everyone!
It was soooo great to meet you all in person! What a wonderful group of ladies! And the food was great, wasn't it! I would love to get together again soon!
Sorry I haven't posted pics yet...been a hectic weekend.
As soon as I can get my daughter off her 'Sims' game, we will get the pics uploaded (or is that downloaded?) I'm off to bed!
Again, it was nice to meet you all.
Hugs
Judy -
Awwwwww...pooey..I so wanted to meet you all...there I was "knee" deep in techno nightmare:-(..Well, it gives me hope that we can still meet another time.
Did you all like Compari's? As I said, the Cosmopolitans they have there are to dream of!
Winter will be here before we know it..maybe sometime this next month or November? Come hell or high water (no hurricanes in Michigan)....I will be there!
Hugs to all!

I am sorry I couldn't make it...I ended up in the emergency room at Harper and I've been here ever since with a blood clot in my left arm....I was so upset and still am....but I am okay and just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you all and that I plan on making the next one.....It's nice to hear you all had fun.....
Hope all is well....
Hugs...
Candi -
Judy:
Thanks so much for posting the pictures - they really turned out great!!! Once again thanks for all of your effort in pulling this together.
Blessings to you and your family,
Pat -
Candi:
So very sorry to hear you are laid up!!! We really missed you at the gathering but we will be having others and you can be at those, right??? Is the blood clot due to Tamoxifin, or don't you know? Again - so sorry to hear of this setback but also happy to hear that you are on the road to recovery and feeling better about everything.
Blessings,
Pat -
Hi Candi!
I hope you are doing well, are you home now? And of course we will be doing this again! I posted the pics under "Michigan Pictures", and LorieAnne suggested the first weekend in November...what do you say girls??? Let's shoot for ALL the Michigan ladies this time...I think Nancy said there's like 70 of us
I think I caused a bit of confusion by posting the pics under this topic, and the MI Pics topic...sorry about that, just thought that others NOT from MI might see them easier that way! If we want another get together, we should probably stick to posting under this topic.
Hugs to you all
Judy -
Candi,
Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery and hope to meet you at the next get together, hopefully next month! -
The pics were great! So nice to be able to put faces with the names!
The ist weekend in November looks great for me. Just let me know where & when. We could try for a location that might be better for our sisters in a more west/north locale if you want.
Some ideas: Frankenmuth (who DOESN'T love Bavarian Inn chicken LOL, followed by browsing thru Bronner's, the world famous Christmas store?) We could carpool, or "have us a convoy" lol
Ann Arbor
Lansing/Okemos area
Just a thought... OOOO, OOOOO I am excited!!
Hugs, Michele -
Hey Michele
I love Ann Arbor!!! And Frankenmuth is fun too, as long as it isn't too cold...I hate winter!
Wherever you ladies decide is fine with me...let's try to get ALL of our MI ladies there...I think Nancy said over 50 of us, now wouldn't that be something!
Hugs
Judy -
Hi,
Is anyone going to the Ann Arbor Breast Health Expo next week? I posted something below: Expo
I'd like to meet again. Ann Arbor is close to me but Frankenmuth is always nice. There is a park and ride at 23 and N. Territorial if we did that. I could take about 3 in my car.
Did you see Pepper's thank you? So sweat...
Yep, there are well over 60 Michigan ladies from the last search I did on the User List (old format though). If anyone wants the list, let me know.
Candi - how are you doing?
Did you see that LuckyAnna went through with her surgery? We were worried about her and trying to get her to contact us. Hope everyone is well.
Nancy -
Hi all:
I posted last week under the MI pictures thread re: my new display name. I am no longer "Worried in Woodhaven" literally and figuratively!! The get together was great and I am looking forward to our next rendezvous. I hope all of the other MI ladies can attend. I believe the first week in November will be okay with me.
I am curious as to why they have 'stranger' under my name! Anyone have any idea?
Candi: A blood clot is no fun. I hope you are doing better. If you are able to attend the next get-together, maybe we could drive up together. I live in Woodhaven.
Pam -
Aren't there any Eastsiders in the metro area posted? I'm from St.Clair Shores. I was dx in March,'04 with IDC, St.II, grade 3. I am being treated at the Karmanos Cancer Institute and have just finished chemo. I start rads end of this month (6 1/2 weeks). I'm 57, married, have one child, a married daughter living in Berkley. I'm an LPN in a nursing home. Would be interested in a get-together. Willing to travel some distance as I'm sure that will be necessary, seeing where everyone else lives. Molly
-
Hi Molly,
I am from Shelby Twp. There are a few of us from the Troy, Rochester Hills and Bloomfield area, but quite a few from the downriver area. Hope all is going well for you and happy for you that your chemo is done. Take Care, Lorrie -
Hi all....I am doing better....sorry it took me so long to post...I got home from the hosptal last friday, then I had chemo on Tuesday, felt horrible all week, finally felt better on Sunday and Monday, then had my last 12th weekly taxol today, so I expect to feel pretty bad starting tomorrow, next week I start weekly herceptin for 52 weeks...I am also through Karmanos, and I recieved great care from them while in the hospital....My nurses were wonderful, I didn't get many vistors so they would come in and watch t.v. with me, and do it with smiles on their faces...they definately made it doable for me...Or it could have been that I cried for the first two days I was in there cuz I just felt so damn lonely...Oh well....anyway, it's over now...I am now on 10 mgs of coumadin a day, and could be on it for 6 months to the rest of my life...they did not remove my port, they wanted to do everything to keep it due to me doing herceptin.....
I'll quit rambling now.....
Hope all is well with everyone....
Hugs to you all.....

Hi all.I live in Macomb and would love to get together with other survivors. I have been targeted for the third time over a 11 year period and now have bones mets. I am doing well at this time and will keep on fighting. I had 10 radiation txs on T11 because of a spinal cord compression and now I am taking Femara daily and getting a infusion of Zometa(to strengthen my bones) monthly. Let me hear from you gals that are very close and maybe we can get together for breakfast.
-
Ive been thinking about all you Michigan ladies and missed the posts by Molly and BonBon. Welcome, sorry we have to meet in this situation but it will be nice to meet in person. Candi, hope you are back on your feet. I worried about you. Havent heard from Lori and Michelle lately please check in and let us know how you are doing.
I talked to luckyanna. She would also like to join us with our next get-together. Since there are so many of you on the East side, pick a place closer to you this time. I can travel and bring some of the West side ladies. Im not really familiar with the NE area so someone else would have to find a place. Id prefer to stay away from downtown Detroit, thank you!
Wishing you all the best!
Nancy -
I can go almost anywhere. Would really like to meet some of you so just let me know where and when and I'll try to make it.
Molly -
Oh my gosh, it's been a bit since I've been here. Hello and welcome to Bon Bon and Molly! I would love to meet you, another get together might very well take place soon; didn't someone mention the 1st weekend in Nov?
I have been swamped with homework...bags under eyes...feel weak Plus my computer is being invaded by nasty spies...gonna have to reformat the entire thing. Ugh!
I am soooooooooo tired right now, gonna go to bed; but wanted to say hi girls! I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I am still here.
Debra, LorieAnne, Michele, Nancy, Pam, Gerri, Lorrie, Bonbon, Molly, ummmm....Chris, ConnieSue, hmmm...Candi, Pat, Sanam....and everyone else......let's get together again!
Candi: sooo glad you're feeling better and back on the boards! I hope you can make the next get together, too
Well, I'm just over=tired now (3 hrs sleep last nite, hours of researching...I just don't have it together this semester), and rambling on and on.....
Hey, by the way, I posted pics with "Chuckie baby" Gaidica on the cybersisters photo album page...check it out!
Huggggsss to you all
Judy -
Hi Girls:
I, too just want to say 'HI' to BonBon and Molly!! Candi, I also want to say I hope you are feeling better and stronger each and every day. If there is another get together, I sure will try to make it, if I'm in town. In the meanwhile, God bless everyone of us!!!
