Sorry, mom2acat, I forgot to welcome you to our MI board! I'm glad you posted, but it's too bad you cannot make the get together next week You live kind of far from here, I think. Well, maybe next time you can make it.
I am glad to hear that both you and your mother are doing well! While it is so sad that you were both going through this at the same time, it is nice that you were able to be there for each other and help each other through what must have been an extremely difficult time. Keep those clear scans coming!!!
Take care.
Hugs

Judy - I'm sure we can all pitch in to mail the banner back if there isn't something inside to handle it.
Thanks for taking care of the reservations. I thought I counted about 15 who responded at one time but I left the list at work. With the old format, we could do a members search. There were about 70 people from Michigan on the boards! Left that list at work also!
Lori - hope you can make it. We are all sending the best to you.
Shari (mom2acat) - sent you a private message. Good to hear from you again!
Only one week to go! -
Judy--bc.org will provide a Fed-X return label for the banner. It will either be in the banner box or in the box of tee-shirts, if you ordered any. Y'all have a great time; we sure did in Arkansas!!! hugggssssss junie

Ladies...
This is my FOURTH try in repsonding to this post. For some unknown reason I have not been able to reply ONLY to this post. I figured that cookies might have something to do with it-but alas, that does not seem the problem.
Thank you for all your concern and good wishes. They would not do my CT scan due to my last one in 1990; I had a huge reaction to the dye. So, I supposed to have a "steroid' prep before. Alaways something!
I am planning on being at Compari's this upcoming Saturday; but if something comes up I will surely let you know. Thanks Judy for setting up reservations for the lunch.
Hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather!
Peace, Lorie -
Judy:
Thank you so much for taking care of the banner and shirts for this coming Saturday!! That was really sweet of you. I am looking so forward to meeting everyone . . . So happy you will be able to make it Lorie and sorry you aren't able to mom2acat!!! Maybe next time??!!
See everyone on Saturday at 12:30. Also, if we get the address to Compari's - we can do a mapquest to find it, right??
Blessings to us all,
Pat -
Judy, re: your Banner question, BreastCancer.org sends a Federal Express slip so they pay for the return shipment.
Have a great time on 9/25/04!
Catherine -
Hi guys!
O.k. We are all set for Saturday, at 12:30 at Compari's. I do, however have to go back and re-count how many will be there. I guessed 12 or so, but they want an exact count.
I just opened the box, and there are 3 t-shirts in there. If we need more, I guess we could ask Melissa, but not sure how long they'd take to get delivered? Did anyone already get a shirt mailed to them?
So glad you'll be going, LorieAnne! I can't wait to meet everyone, this should be fun.
FYI: there is a parking structure behind Compari's, off of Harvey Street. Otherwise, you'll have to parallel park out front (not easy in a full size van!)
Hugs
Judy -
Here is a list of everyone that said they'd be there on Saturday:
Me, Lorie, Pat, Nancy, Debra, gmr52, KJD RN, Pam, Chris, Sanam, Candi, and Michele.
Did I miss anyone? If not, that is 12 of us.
Judy -
I just emailed Melissa about more shirts; if she can get them here in time, great, if not... well... we will do without, right?
One more thing just popped into my head--is anyone bringing someone else with them? Hubby, friend, etc? I will need to add them to the count, also.
Thanks
Judy -
Not Me...Chris is coming and I will bring another survivor with me who is not on the boards. Looking forward to it!

16 right? I already have a t-shirt but my digital camera broke! Anyone bringing a camera? I'll bring name tags if no-one minds.
Anyone want to play the gift exchange game?
Looking forward to meeting everyone! -
Hi everyone! I live in Shelby Twp and would be interested in carpooling. I would drive but would like to have a co-pilot. Anyone interested??? Lorrie
-
I requested the tee shirt as well...but have not received. I live in Oxford and am more than happy to give othes a ride down. I will also be picking up my friend in Livonia which is just next to Plymouth. My route is Great Lakes Crossing I-75 south. Maybe there is one of those park and ride places nearby or we can leave cars in a shopping parking lot somewhere.

Hi Nancy
Haven't heard from ejs and djh in a while, I wonder if they're coming...I'll call Compari's and update our count.
--I emailed/pm'd those who haven't posted here since July/aug. to see if they're coming...including ejs, djh and Pauline in Windsor--
I emailed Melissa about tshirts, she said they will send them here...assorted sizes, since there is no time to find out everyone's exact size.
Hugs
Judy -
Thanks Judy! I also emailed Pauline and Donna (djh) since they had it listed in their profile.
This will be fun!
-
Sanam, ejs, Lorrie, pconn I will drive if you guys want to come to my house. I live in Troy and pconn, we can probably pick you up! Please PM me and I will give you my phone and email. I am SO EXCITED.
Debra
Could someone provide an address for this place so I can print out directions on mapquest? Thanks -
Debra:
I just sent you a pm -
Pat -
Debra:
Sorry, I could have included this in my PM but forgot. I think someone posted the address for Compari's a while ago and this is what I have: 350 North Main Street - Plymouth
I didn't look up a phone number for the place but might do that just in case it's needed on Saturday.
Pat -
Compari's 350 S. Main Street
Plymouth
Phone 734-416-0100 -
Hey guys, this is too cool...
My sister, who lives in Plymouth, won a contest with Channel 4 (I think); so they are throwing her a block party, feeding 70 people (I have a funny feeling there will be alot more than 70 there), and will be broadcasting the weather & the party live on the 5 oclock news Friday nite! I might be on TV! My hubby's band will be playing, maybe they can get some gigs out of this!
They gave her no time to prepare; we have to set up everything before they arrive. If the t-shirts get here in time, I will wear one so you all will know me! I'll be the over-processed blonde in the yellow bc.org shirt!
Can't wait til Saturday! Hopefully I won't be all hungover from Friday nite!
Hugs
Judy -
Judy - I'll be looking for you! Have fun.
Nancy -
OMG If Chuck Gaidica is there, I may need to crash it.
-
Debra--Chuck will be the one ...that's too funny!
But they're only giving her Tubbies Subs and bottled water!!! So she's running around with only 3 days notice trying to get tables/chairs, pop and other food items, my poor sister!!! And she's not even sure if the neighbors will show up. This is something that sounded good in theory, but kinda s*cks in reality!
Hubby's band may not be there after all, they won't have any room to set up. My sister has this huge backyard, but only a small front yard, which is where they want her to have the party. If ya wanna go, pm me for her address.
Oh well. No t-shirts yet, hope they get here tomorrow so we'll have them for Saturday.
Hugs
Judy -
Nancy, I haven't heard back from djh or ejs, have you? I wonder if they still visit the boards.
About a camera, like you, I do not have a digital camera either. Anyone out there have a camera they could bring???
Also, for those who asked Melissa for shirts...there were 3 shirts in with the banner, so maybe those were for you guys.
Judy -
Judy:
That's so funny!! I always see those block parties with Chuck Gadica - now for sure I will be watching it tomorrow night with special interest!!
Pat -
Hi Judy,
Since our User List is back, I did a search for djh-Donna and ejs-Evelyn. I havent heard from either.
Donnas last post was on 7/18 and she was going to John Hopkins in Baltimore for a Diep flap. She could still be recovering from that, right?
Evelyns last post was 8/13 and she still had two Taxotere treatments left, the last being on 9/9. So, she is on the tail end of her chemo treatment and maybe feeling pretty crappy.
If no one has a digital camera, I may have to pick up one of those disposable ones. Id much rather be taking the pictures than be in them!
I'll see Judy tonight on TV and everyone else tomorrow! -
I won't be able to make it tomorrow...and I was so looking forward to meeting everyone. I had surgery last week for the incision line that I have that won't heal (after 2 failed implants.) He did a muscle flap using muscle from just below the mastectomy area. Last couple days it has been having some drainage. Went in today they gave me some silvadene cream and I have another appt. Tues. Seems like the radiation I had really did a number on the inside tissue, muscles, etc. I am just feeling a little under the weather and have decided to hang around home this weekend. I will be thinking about all of you and look forward to seeing some posted pictures! (Judy, thank you for the invite to carpool...that was very nice of you)
So gals have a wonderful time and I am sure there will be much laughter and lots of hugs. I will join in on the next outing! Lorrie (Shelby Twp) -
Lorrie:
So sorry to hear you won't be joining us but sometimes you just need the rest to heal properly. You're right - I'm sure we will be having more "get togethers" in the future, and you can definitely plan on being at those!!! We WILL miss you tomorrow, though. Keep us posted on how you're doing, okay?
Blessings,
Pat -
Lorrie, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. We'll definitely see you next time though, so you rest up and get better.
Well, I'm not sure that anyone would have noticed me on TV tonight, because it was really packed at my sister's house! I didn't get the shirt until after I got home, so I wasn't wearing it. I did manage to get myself into 3 of the 4 segments that aired with Chuck Gaidica, though; my husband laughed at me for weaseling into so many shots! I had my pic taken with Chuck, when it gets developed, I'll try to post it.
Well tomorrow is the day, girls. Can't wait, see you all there!
Judy -
Oh ladies, of all days to wake up with s splitting headache and no relief in sight.
i am going to try to make it, but it is doubtful as I usually have to sleep this off. I, too, was so looking forward to meeting you all and having a great time(and Judy, I really wanted to hear about Chuck) Well, as long as this can happen once, it can surely happen again and I will look forward to the next one.
Lorrie, I hope you too are felling better.
You guys have a great time and please let us know every detail.
Debra
