I think Mr. Rogers gave it a good try but he wasn't successful in my neighborhood either. So I try to mimic his behavior towards others and hope they learn to reciprocate because I will not bend to their will.
Loved all the memes especially Jen Psaki, she is sharp . Wish all this stress for the loon would result in some negative medical event for him. No harm in hoping.

Wow!! Had so much to catch up on. I am a news junky and I want to see the hearings in their entirety. Old enough to remember Watergate hearings and waiting for a John Dean moment. . If it starts too early for the West Coast I PVR. My biggest fear is that the DOJ will ultimately do bugger all. My DH and I want to see 45 in an orange jump suit. I want to see the whole Trump family go to to jail. My list of criminals is extensive.
Canada should open its borders to left-leaning Americans seeking asylum from the insanity. We need more people and most lefties are educated and skilled. You will have to learn using "our" in colour, neighbour...double l's as in cancelling, travelling...ha ha. At least we dropped the extra "me" from programme. Come on up, the weather can be cold but most of us are warm.
God Save America indeed. I am so scared for your country.

Elderberry, many of us might have to learn eh' after we have made a statement. It has been so many yrs. ( First marriage to a man whose mother was Canadian with family memebers still there ) in Amherstburg. Hope I'm spelling that correctly. Many visits there -- overland but through the river tunnel as well from Detroit which is where all of us lived on this side. Loved the country and enjoyed all the visits and time spent there.
In those days no passports or anything -- just a quick stop at the border checkpoints. I'm always afraid that the Loon will be able to squeak out from under his rightful jail cell. Also, that he will have enough mentality LEFT to appreciate what he has lost. In any case, he is too old, fat, and sickly to spend all that much time in the hoosegow -- probably why I hpe he goes while he still has enough marbles left to FEEL his loss. We have all felt it for so long and I wish to return the un-pleasure.
-
illinoislady: One the West Coast we don't say "eh" as often. But it is a substitute for ending a statement instead of "isn't it"
I remember the happy days of just crossing the border with no passport. We used to go across to Washington back in the bad old days when pubs were closed here on Sundays. Not declaring jeans and smuggling them across was another past time.
I want 45 to have a stroke and have enough brains to know it. I want him to be drooling and spastic and in a wheelchair and I will do time in purgatory for this wish.
-
And I’ll be there with you. And lots of other.
-
Save me a seat!
-
also should think about the fact that you won't fight other citizens ( the left ) but the U.S. military.
-
So long, its been good to know you, although not so much these past few yrs.
-
Hmm. The pics of these people don't look right to me, but I usually trust the memes. I do think thought that Pence seeing the Loon's numbers slide down likely feels a bit safer. Good, but I'd never feel safe with the Loon loose, anytime, anyplace and under any coditions.

Seems the lettering here is a slight bit darker now. definite improvement. I hope there are more to come.

To be alive, to be able to see, to walk. . . it's all a miracle. I have adopted the technique of living life from miracle to miracle.

Giuliani’s words that they have lots of theories but no evidence could not illustrate more clearly how absurd and scary our situation here in the US is. How anyone continues to defend or support TFG is beyond any rational person’s imagination. It is beyond revolting.
-
They are literally mob bosses.

Couldn't agree more, ladies. I was able to watch the entire segment today. Most of it has a famaliar feel although I did get much more clarity as in Mr. Bowens. He seemed resigned to the Loon's loss VERY early on, although sad that he did lose. At the same time he did not tolerate ANY funny business from the Loon or anyone else. He seemed VERY highly committed to the Constitution and doing his duty just the way it was laid out, period. He was refreshing to watch and I thought today's witnesses pretty clearly put the bull's eye squarel in the center of the Loon's chest.
Don't see why you would think anything else but that the Loon and his co-horts were all very deeply involved. So far, it seems like a lot of damage has been done and not just to Loony.

It is a bit of a cheap drive-by on my part, but how I happen to feel.

This is part of Dubya Jr.'s legacy. His big message was, "You don't need facts, just your gut." And if pesky facts like a distinct lack of WMD's is getting in your way, just ignore them. That opened the door for so much of the intentional idiocy we're seeing to this day.

Elderberry, I'd love to take you up on your invitation to re-settle in Canada. (Don't think we haven't daydreamed about Bob getting licensed in ON or BC). But the bitter truth is that none of us Americans here on BCO can immigrate, not even on skilled work visas, because we would be considered a drain on your national health system. Best we can do is six-month tourist visas, with the prescribed interval between them. I remember when my parents took a car trip from their NYC home to the Maritimes & then Quebec and my mom sprained her wrist in Fredericton, she was treated free of charge. From what I understand now, foreign tourists would not be covered. I also remember when we lived in Seattle taking the ferry to Victoria, and driving up to Vancouver for Sunday dim sum brunch. (Bob would buy a Cuban cigar, and we'd drive aimlessly around the back streets of Surrey until he was done smoking it because he couldn't bring it back across the border at Blaine). I was blown away to learn in 2005 that I would need a passport to cross the border to attend Folk Alliance in Montreal--before, all we needed was our drivers' licenses. (By 2005, Canada would let us in with just a state-issued photo ID, but the US wouldn't let us back home--I had to have a copy of both my birth certificate and the first page of my passport faxed to me at O'Hare just in time to board my outbound flight; but US Customs & Immigration at the Montreal airport was reluctant to even accept those copies for my return).

Trump's Lie About Arizona House Speaker's Statement Is Direct and Brutal Evidence of Intent
Evidence that Trump lied about conversations he had with various state elected officials would be critical in a number of different possible charges that prosecutors might consider filing against Trump.

All the world is searching for joy and happiness, but these cannot be purchased for any price in any marketplace, because they are virtues that come from within, and like rare jewels must be polished, for they shine brightest in the light of faith, and in the service of brotherly love. -Lucille R. I will be anxiously awaiting the next comittee meeting on t.v. I read on the way here that the minds of at least 8% of the people in the middle have changed their minds or now have a negative opinion of the Loon and think he should be prosecuted. I would think some of those also have now something of a negative view or the Reps. party or might soon, if not already.
I can't at all imagine being a Reps. or at least a very happy or satisfied one. To me, what is coming across the air-waves ( shame on the media for portraying so often the Dems. as losers ) is VERY strong and more Reps. are now being named and pulled into public view of the roles they played and the amt. of help they were willing to provide the Loon. Were I a Reps. I'd be now nervous to the nth. degree. It has taken some time and a lot of people ( I'm in that group ) began to wonder if the truth could get out. Media is often portraying it as something that people have quit caring about but that is not true since 8% of the people have changed their minds and now SEE the truth they were not paying all that much attention to before. They are the people who are not junkies like us about politics. I used to be one of those people -- paying attention on the big things while anything daily and on-going often slid by.
It is going to be interesting and I would imagine we will continue to see some of the Reps. weasels squirm. Thinking here Ron Johnson, Biggs, Eastman, Guiliani and other Reps. like McCarthy with direct involvements.

With all the lying -- great Loon protege.

Because he loves to be on camera and have an excuse to use his orange make-up. Nothing like self-adoration.
Except when it trips you up in a negative fashion. If this does it will be out so fast our heads will spin.

To add to Herschel Walkers dubious character are the three children born out of wedlock that he neglected to publicly mention. This wouldn’t be an issue if he hadn’t spent so much time denouncing absentee fathers , particularly in the black community. Have yet to figure out why hypocrites and liars are so appealing to some.

THIS WAS ON A FRIEND'S PAGE: An anguished question from a Trump supporter: 'Why do liberals think Trump supporters are stupid?'
THE SERIOUS ANSWER: Here's what the majority of anti-Trump voters honestly feel about Trump supporters en masse:That when you saw a man who had owned a fraudulent University, intent on scamming poor people, you thought "Fine." https://www.usatoday.com/.../trump-university.../502387002/
That when you saw a man who had made it his business practice to stiff his creditors, you said, "Okay." (https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-hotel-paid-millions...)
That when you heard him proudly brag about his own history of sexual abuse, you said, "No problem." (https://abcnews.go.com/.../list-trumps-accusers.../story...)
That when he made up stories about seeing Muslim-Americans in the thousands cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center, you said, "Not an issue." (https://www.washingtonpost.com/.../donald-trumps.../)
That when you saw him brag that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and you wouldn't care, you exclaimed, "He sure knows me." (https://www.usatoday.com/.../president-donald.../4073405002/)
That when you heard him relating a story of an elderly guest of his country club, an 80-year old man, who fell off a stage and hit his head, to which Trump replied: "'Oh my God, that's disgusting,' and I turned away. I couldn't—you know, he was right in front of me, and I turned away. I didn't want to touch him. He was bleeding all over the place. And I felt terrible, because it was a beautiful white marble floor, and now it had changed color. Became very red." You said, "That's cool!" (https://www.gq.com/story/donald-trump-howard-stern-story)
That when you saw him mock the disabled, you thought it was the funniest thing you ever saw. (https://www.nbcnews.com/.../donald-trump-criticized-after...)
That when you heard him brag that he doesn't read books, you said, "Well, who has time?" (https://www.theatlantic.com/.../americas-first.../549794/)
That when the Central Park Five were compensated as innocent men convicted of a crime they didn't commit, and he angrily said that they should still be in prison, you said, "That makes sense." (https://www.usatoday.com/.../what-trump-has.../1501321001/)
That when you heard him tell his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would hire attorneys, you thought, "Yes!" (https://www.latimes.com/.../la-na-trump-campaign-protests...)
That when you heard him tell one rally to confiscate a man's coat before throwing him out into the freezing cold, you said, "What a great guy!" (https://www.independent.co.uk/.../donald-trump-orders...)
That you have watched the parade of neo-Nazis and white supremacists with whom he curries favor, while refusing to condemn outright Nazis, and you have said, "Thumbs up!" (https://www.theatlantic.com/.../why-cant-trump.../567320/)
That you hear him unable to talk to foreign dignitaries without insulting their countries and demanding that they praise his electoral win, you said, "That's the way I want my President to be." (https://www.huffpost.com/.../trump-insult-foreign...)
That you have watched him remove expertise from all layers of government in favor of people who make money off of eliminating protections in the industries they're supposed to be regulating and you have said, "What a genius!" (https://www.politico.com/.../138-trump-policy-changes...)
That you have heard him continue to profit from his businesses, in part by leveraging his position as President, to the point of overcharging the Secret Service for space in the properties he owns, and you have said, "That's smart!" (https://www.usnews.com/.../how-is-donald-trump-profiting...)
That you have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was in the middle of water and you have said, "That makes sense." (https://www.washingtonpost.com/.../the-very-big-ocean.../)
That you have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, "falling in love" with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, "That's statesmanship!" (https://www.cnn.com/.../donald-trump-dictators.../index.html)
That Trump separated children from their families and put them in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids, has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas - he explains that they're just "animals" - and you say, "Well, OK then." (https://www.nbcnews.com/.../more-5-400-children-split...)
That you have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise. (https://www.americanprogress.org/.../confronting-cost.../)
What you don't get, Trump supporters, is that our succumbing to frustration and shaking our heads, thinking of you as stupid, may very well be wrong and unhelpful, but it's also...hear me...charitable.Because if you're NOT stupid, we must turn to other explanations, and most of them are less flattering.- Adam-Troy Castro
-
Ruth, I have seen this before and sadly, I doubt the diehard MAGA crowd will get it but what about Hilary’s emails 😉
