"A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before the change."
– – Earl Nightingale -
Love the memes and absolutely Ruth -- Eastman has done something and indeed, it sounds like quite a bit of something. I'm thrilled that it appears thee ratings are staying fairly well. I'm sure it helps that MSNBC ( possibly some others, I don't know ) are doing recaps of the hearings that happen during the day. I was really happy about that since twice I've had to leave for appts. in Marion which is 75 miles away. Miss the hearings completely on those days. I've read that generally the Reps. were opining that no one would b interested or watch but that turned out to present them with a comeuppance. May or may not be true of their people and the hard liners won't allow themselves any truth at all -- but it is possible for a few ( human beings all reacting so differently at times to the same exact things ) to have a bit of a change of heart. Still, Reps. will stay Reps. and I fear it wouldn't take a big exuse for them to backslide.
A pretty good thing that we have a fair amt. of hearings left. Also that moe people will be interviewed which will give better and more throughal insights. I'm thinking Gini Thomas here. Someone said that maybe she has enoug Q conspiracies in her as to think she can go into a 1/6 hearing and make a couple of converts. Well, I guess I scoff at that.

So amazing that people still flock to this guy -- but then in my book they are hooked up just as pooorly as he is -- hope there is hope for some of them because there is not one iota for him.

illinois,
I wasn't able to watch the hearing live yesterday. For some reason, my 4 year old granddaughter did not think this was a fun activ 😂. The recaps are good but if you Google it you can find the entire hearing on YouTube courtesy of many media outlets. It was actually kind of good on YouTube as I could fast forward through the bits I'd already seen on recaps. For as much as I applaud Luttig’stestimony I still can't believe how incredibly slow and measured his responses were. I found it difficult to listen to him.
Love the Rhonda Santis meme . Despite the fact that I am not a Christian, I feel very confident in saying the Jesus was not American!

I am loving the Lock Her Up meme!!!

Divine, good to see you. I almost started a pm but now you're here. I love the Lock Het Up one too, but really liked the Rhonda Santis almost as well. Took a slight fancy to My Pillow Guy who now is selling the pillow packing boxes. ( My Packing Boxes. ). Been wondering if he is going to go belly-up one of these days. He would be just another notch in Trump's belt since almost all who get to close to the Loon are ruined. Dried up, done for, and has beens who might never return.
I for one, would never miss them and Iong for the day the Loon is no longer daily grit in the news. Of course, it doesn't hurt me one bit that as long as I'm exposed to it, it has all been negative and pretty likely to stay that way. I hope the committee hearings are actually having the impact that they sure seem to have to date.
I only read a very small piece but the Loon is very un-happy and casting a lot of aspersions on the Democrats, and as he calls it ( unselect committee ). We on the left are liars who just agitate -- all said w/o an iota of evidence. Didn't even take a stab at some make-up materials. OTOH, how famaliar it must seem to him when he reads the mountains of evidence the committee has on him. Even worse that his cohorts and syncophants are where its coming from, and so he has even more people to be VERY vindictive towards. Sigh !!! Such human garbage.

Yesterday is experience. Tomorrow is hope. Today is getting from one to another as best we can.

Nice to have the week-end here. Since we still have a tendency to just let the t.v. play after morning coffee, it can get tiresome to see the same news repeated ovr most of the day. It actually tends to be tiresome to tune into cable news, but politis took us over in the Obama yrs. Mostly getting daytime watching established and it is a hard habit to break.
So, I welcome the week-ends when the cycle slows slightly and the t.v. is a lot easier to ignore. There are a lot of interesting things to watch -- I just have to take the time to find them.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! – Hunter S. Thompson

Many of us unknowingly damage our Souls with our negative attitudes and actions or by simple neglect. By making the relationship with your Soul an important part of your life, however, by honoring it in your daily routine, you give your life greater meaning and substance. Use your experiences--all of them--as opportunities to nourish your Soul!

Monday is here and back to news cycles. I think the Loon is finally QUITE upset. Had a real rant going on the UN-SELECT Committee. He understands that Brad Raffensberger, being part of the 1/6 televised hearings is going to be a real blow to him. Mainly tied up too the act that many Reps. would not bend to his will and help him -- and will say that and the REAL truth will be out for so many to see and understand. The Big Lie will be so self-servingly evident then and is something of a death blow. The Loon knows this, and feels even more trapped.
So far, it would seem that 1/6 is and has been able to get TRUTH on the books for people and it must be doubly frighteneing for the Loon to HEAR that DOJ has a greand jury going and wants the evidences that 1/6 had painstakingly developed. Who knows for sure what DOJ has by itself, but talk about a bit of cement to extract from 1/6. The Loon may finally be getting that he's neck deep or farther.

I'm laughing, but I do have fond memmories of Texas when I was stationed there in 1964 and going to Medical Corpsman school. Of course, it was a better state then.
