Recurrence after mastectomy, 5 years ago.

Hello all,

I can’t believe this is happening again.
Recurrence along scar.
Dr’s say I need chemo, surgery, radiation and anti hormone pills. Chemo will start first week of December.

    Bonnie - I too had a recurrence after a bilateral mastectomy. Yes, I had to do chemo, then ALND surgery, them more chemo because there wasn't a complete response to the first batch, then radiation, then Herceptin for the rest of a year. UGH!!

    Edited to say, I'm 8 years past the 2nd diagnosis now and things are basically good.

    Seems impossible that this happened, right? But you can do this. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

    I'm sorry you are going through this. I had a recurrence after BMX also. Mine was in 2015. Also did chemo, radiation and antihormonals. Still cancer free.....

    Hi!

    Had issue signing in last time. No, last time I had DMX and Tamoxifen.

    Had first A/C infusion on 12/23. Doing okay so far.
