I can't get to the Active Topics either.

*Actually My Favorites is the only section that will open on the whole list of choices.

**And when I click 'Breastcancer.org', a blank page comes up

I tried to get in on my computer by googling breastcancer.org, a blank page came up there to when I tried to get to the main page. When I clicked 'Community', it brought me here, but I can only access 'My Favorites'.

Mods - just to let you know, I was able to get "my favorites" last night but nothing else. This morning at 9:15a central, I am able to access active topics & all topics so hopefully you've solved the problems. Thanks

Everything is back up for me too.

The post above was a test. I tried to edit it but got the error message. I am still getting the error message, randomly but I hope this message posts.

I continue to have problems. Sometimes I can post, as witnessed by my posts above, sometimes I get the error message. Clearly this post worked as did the edit function

It is 1:05 pm PT. I just got the error message when trying to use the search function as well as getting the same message when I then attempted to get back to active topics.

That’s what I’ve been getting today, though not consistently. Sometimes everything seems just fine and then a few minutes later I get that error message.

I am still getting this message or nothing at all when o click on some of the forums. I am only able to see active posts. This is day 2 for me of not having full access

So, about the redesign…

I've only tried on mobile devices (smartphone/tablet).

1) I had to click on Community to find the login button. Haven't found the logout button.

2) The font size for posts is much smaller than before. Is the mobile version set up properly?

3) The white background is a bit glaring compared to the old background. I prefer dark mode settings. Can that be added?

4) I looked at the Search feature after seeing it was changed. Briefly it looked different, but without the capability to search for posts by specific member. Then it was back to what it was. I like being able to search by member.

I’m usually on a mo Ike device when coming here. Don’t know if that is the problem but this is what I’m experiencing

1) I find the font size too small. I wear glasses and have difficulty with this font size. I feel like I’m on that line at the eye doctor where I go, “you to to be kidding me!” Or that medication insert where the print is so tiny you need a magnifying glass.

2) Prefer the old background.

3) “New” does not stand out.

Again, BCO is hell bent on wasting money in needless changes.

This change is enough to send me packing.

Seems each redesign is a downgrade.

Serenity, LOL I’m on other threads with you, am more of a lurker, and find we do think a lot alike. You’re more eloquent in your postings

I thought changes were to make things better. BCO seems to think the opposite when they make these changes.

I'm on my iPad. It took me a while to figure out how to sign-in - not obvious at all and a two step process to get to the sign-in page even once you know where it is. Haven't figured out how to sign out.

The small type on a white background is cold and uninviting and difficult to read. Not welcoming at all.

The opening screen, both when I first bring up the Discussion Board and after I sign in, gives absolutely no indication that this is discussion board. I had to scroll down three pages before the Discussion Board Forums actually started and even then there is no indication that this is a discussion board - it just say "All Topics" on one line, followed by Welcome to breastcancer.org.

If the objective of the redesign was to significantly reduce the already declining usage of the board, then mission accomplished. Given that Discussion Board usage is in decline, I'm wondering if this is BCO's attempt to kill off the board completely.

Oh, and is it just me or is the site slow as molasses?

Edited to add: I just noticed on Active Topics that you can see who last posted but you can't see who started the thread (at least not on an iPad). That is unacceptable. Many of us follow specific individuals to keep track of how they are doing, and pay attention to the name of individual and not the name of the thread.

Response is slower than the old "dial up". I have just moved on afew times but come back to try again.

I too wonder if discussion boards are on the way out.

Maybe I am too old for change but I can't really see any improvements. I think newcomers might not bother trying to figure it all out.
