First Fulvestrant shot side effects

What has been your experiences of side effects from the Fulvestrant shot??!

Anyone have weight gain or loss????

    Just injection site pain.


    I did notice some hot flashes since starting.

    GoGirl36, I just had my first shots Monday, so I haven’t had enough time to see, but so far just a little pain at the injection site. It’s almost fine now. have had hot flashes all day and night since my partial hysterectomy in 2012, so I won’t be able to tell if there are hot flashes from the injections.

    I haven't been on long enough, but I'm not a fair representation because I have cancer in my stomach, which has made me lose 20 pounds. I was holding steady until recently, when I believe my Ibrance isn't holding it back any longer, which is why I switched to Faslodex and Xeloda. I'll be starting Xeloda on Monday. I am back to not being able to eat and nausea and I've lost 5 pounds in the last month and a half. I hope I don't lose any more.

    Go Girl 36,

    I have been getting Fulvestrant shots since 11/2019 so almost 2 years . It has not caused any weight loss or gain as far as I can tell. To be honest, except for the nuisance of monthly injections it's been easy to tolerate. I had more joint pain on femara, which I took for 7 years.

    Go Girl 36 - I am just a little short of two years on Faslodex and I have not lost or gained on it. I think that you may get more answers and learn more about what those of us taking Faslodex have experienced if you read and post in the Faslodex thread.     I have been on Fasoldex for almost 2 yrs. with no weight gain or loss that I would attribute to the drug.
