I am hoping to learn how to manage side effects of Halaven from those who are in this treatment. I am in my third cycle and I think I’m spending too much time in bed. I am in my sixth year of having had many other treatments that have stopped working. MBC in bones and liver. Thank you for sharing

    hello , my mom is about to take halaven too , she has Mets in bone liver around 70 % liver are Mets .

    We had 2 options considering TACE procedure which is just as y90 but chemo is given directly to tumor in liver and halaven .

    FYI my mom is set to travel in 7 days to USA for her treatment , she is getting weaker . I think she should go for halaven , just wanted to know how did u tolerate it and what was your status like before starting it howmuch liver was involved etc

    Hi Barbs,

    I've just completed my 4th cycle and get scanned on Wed. Fingers crossed it is working.

    I have been struggling with side effects too. Particularly fatigue, headaches, heartburn and nausea. Some days I don't go any further than from the bed to the couch.

    Hope you see this and let me know how you are going.

    Hi... I am starting this on Thursday the 30th.... I am wondering if everyone looses their hair on this??? My MO said some do some don't????
