21 day water fast
Anyone try it? Can you share your experience?

I did exactly that. How funny, and you just posted this lol.
I did a 21 day fast about five years ago and of all the treatments I tried, that was the most helpful. I did a lot of research going into it and was prepared and I found it to be an awesome experience. I kept a journal and glad I did because I had some interesting thoughts during that time. I had hopes for a more spiritual experience but it never came together, or at least not in a way that I expected. Much of the research is pointing to tighter metabolic control as being the key to healing and prevention and my own experience bears that out.
That said, I don’t know your treatment plan but if you’re doing anything conventional then you want to proceed very carefully because of scheduof treatments and tests. It may be better to do short ones and lead up to them with a raw vegan diet first for a couple of days to see how you do. When I did mine I doing alternative healing, but alas, I did not stick to my diet....I mostly did, like no sugar. But I still eat way too much carbs and mainly in the form of bread. And now my health has just taken a nosedive and I don’t feel much like getting out of bed these days, but the fast really did help a lot. But! Proceed carefully and if you’re so inclined, talk to God about it.

Right now, I am recently diagnosed metastatic. Less than 1 year after going the conventional route (chemo, rads, DMX, Tamox), I’m trying to avoid more. Considering doing 21 day water fast. Were you able to go the entire 21 days on just water? Some do a soft fast with liquids -teas & juices. But I’m determined to go at least 21 days on water only. Thank you for your insight

my daughter water fasted at true north health center https://www.healthpromoting.com/
It transformed her life.
here are patients who have gone there with cancer too. My husband was at the center too and had a story shared with him regarding a pt that had lymphoma that went away after fasting for 3 wks and diet change.

ttlili, I did mainly water but broke down a couple of times and had broth. No juices though because of the sugar. One thing that I was unaware of at the time is fermented veggie juices, like sauerkraut juice or beet juice, and knowing what I know now, I would get a bottle of that and put a tablespoon into a glass of water. The salt will keep electrolyte levels from going too low. Or you could get a high quality sea salt and add that to water.
If you get thru this, you will be so proud of yourself and will feel better after. Don’t forget to journal, even if it’s not your thing. If I hadn’t journaled, I would’ve forgotten about the nasty sinus infection I started out with and two days later I had clarity through my sinus passages like I had never experienced. Also, I was very late to the menopause table and at 56 was still going strong. After the fast it was all over and the easiest menopause ever....I never had another period after that.

I'm new to this thread but have been "lurking". was told a month ago by my MO that I was out of treatment options, but then the gene tests showed the possibility of a PARP inhibitor so about to try that. Its called Lynparza and from what I've heard its a pretty harsh drug. (But 8 lines in, hard to believe it could be worse..)
on Xeloda I had so much diarrhea that I took to fasting about 36 hours when I needed to be sure I could travel/exercise etc. I found it also helped my energy but my MO went nuts when I told him so -I stopped telling him.
Thinking of starting a 5 day fast which my friend can supervise. worst will be giving up coffee....

What information source do you all suggest for fasting while on cancer treatment?
I feel like I would benefit from fasting in several ways, but I am concerned about taking my twice-daily Verzenio doses on an empty stomach. I feel sick if I don't have something like a couple crackers and a little cheese with it.
Other than that little snack with med doses, I naturally tend toward intermittent fasting (although it got more challenging during the shutdown because my husband and son are home a lot now and they like meals! LOL.)
