Spookiesmom, I just want to rub his tummy.
Togethertolearn, Midnight Louie likes to rip up any books I leave unattended. Speaking of that, I better hunt for my library book before he finds it. LOL
-
Good morning, cat ladies. The A/C repairman was here. Luckily an easy not too expensive fix. Poor little Louie is still under the bed. Miss Felix was interested and wanted to follow him around, until he started making noise. Then she went behind the sofa.
-
We're having our front door replaced today, which means the door is open and/or gone so kitties are in the back bedroom with food, water and a litter box. Man it's loud (my office is in the living room during the pandemic).
-
This is the PM I just sent to the Moderators. If you feel the same, you might want to send your opinion to them as well:
“Fur Baby Brags”? What a yucky name for the forum with the Cats cats cats thread. Who likes to be called a braggart? And the thread is so much more than that. Blech!
-
That . . . is so infantile (the name, not your post). Definitely making my thoughts known on THAT.
-
Cat ladies, the Mods kindly replied to my PM and asked for suggestions for a forum name. I have asked them how they want to receive our input and will tell you what they say. So, ideas?
Edit— They changed it back to Furry Friends. They are still open to new ideas as well. Thank you, Mods!

edj3, That is not fun. I was in Virginia and husband had to deal with the kitties and the front door replacement. All survived. I do love my front door, hope you love yours.
cat ladies, Midnight Louie caught a snake on the lanai. Luckily it was a baby black racer. (nonpoisonous) We tossed it out in the yard and it was still moving.
-
Dogs too!!! Spookie and Kris are my fur babies. I have 2 grand cats.
Leave the $&@# names alone!!!!!
-
I always find it odd when a repair person or such come onto my house knowing they are allergic to cats , but haven't taken anything - is going to a house with cats rare? It's pretty quick to tell when a worker has allergies to them !
-
I have a shelter volunteer who is allergic to some cats. She'll be fine shift after shift and then one will get her and she has to go home before her eyes swell shut. Really odd.
-
that does seem odd! I try to remember to tell anyone coming in our house we have cats first: both of my kids had friends over when they were little who had to go home due to their cat allergies making them miserable - that's how I learned. Poor kiddos.
-
Good morning, ladies. Cats, cats, cats Is a good name.
-
I love, love, love our front door and so do the kitties now that everything is done. We live in a 1957 ranch house so chose to put in a door more in keeping with mid-century styles. The kitties love it because they've got a window to look out and I am especially happy because the storm door actually does latch and has one of those built in screen/pane combos so you just pull down on the handle to get the screen instead of the pane.
It's not painted yet--we're also getting the exterior of our house painted so we'll get the door done then.
-
Nice!!!!
-
Miss Felix is snoring
-
-
Petsitting Luna. Just love her.
-
looks like the feeling is mutual!
-
I agree! Looks like you both are enjoying a wonderful nap!

Special Cat has shown up downstairs without his calming collar on (I can't find where he lost it) and is now sitting on my book. I guess I need to hold the book while reading, instead of laying it down to read it.
-
What is more calming than a book?
-
Awww!
-
Darling photo. Darling, darling cat.
-
-
Togethertolearn, That is a beautiful picture.
-
Book + cat = peace

The results here seemed inevitable:
Question for the cat folks. Our feline has a little black piece of Velcro (with a yellow tag on it seen in the pic below) we allow her to bat around. Every morning when we wake up she's batted it around so it's right next to her food dish. Any idea what she's trying to communicate here? It's like this every single morning.
