Urinary Tract Infections

I have had my share of UTIs over the years. A lot of times, I do not show any symptoms of a UTI. I was diagnosed with a recurrence that had metastisized to my collarbone September 2019. I take Ibrance, Faslodex and XGEVA. I have been having some lower back pain, that also goes into by buttocks and down into one leg. I am assuming it could be a SI joint or sciatica. I had something similar in January and it went away. This morning I thought I would try a UTI test strip I have and check if maybe I have a UTI. It showed positive on the nitrate portion. When I Googled how accurate it was to do the home test, it said that medications could affect your results. I know faslodex definitely affectsDoes anyone on the smell of urine. Could faslodex or ther other drugs be affecting the result? Does anyone on here have any advice on this subject? I hate to go to the doctor right now as the coronavirus is still going up drastically every day in my area.

on the little test strips the hallmarks of a UTI are positive wbc and rbc so at this point I would not be thinking uti.... But keep an eye on it for sure.

If you think it's musculoskeletal, see if any physiotherapist near you are doing teleconsults. They watch you do certain movements and assign exercises on video for you to do. Not as ideal as them getting their hands on you but it's a good place to start with appropriate stretch and strengthen exercises

Thank you moth. I am just grasping at straws right now trying to figure out what I have and which drug is likely causing it. They all seem to have similar side effects. I know I have inflammation going on and that might still be from my radiation treatments, plus I have lymphedema in one arm. The teleconsult with a physiotherapist is a great idea!
